On a certain weekday evening, I was invited by a colleague from the company I joined as a new graduate, to a meeting near the head office of a company called Tarararattara in Minato-ku, Shibaura (tentative name). This colleague, who used to smoke up to 20 cigarettes in an hour after coming to work in the morning, was known as the guy who smoked more cigarettes than he breathed by the women in the break room. Yet, he seemed to still be alive.
Oh, that reminds me, I wonder if you can smoke at this restaurant. It must be quite rare nowadays, right? While thinking about this, I, who somewhat dislikes being late, arrived on time. But to my surprise, the colleague who could have easily walked here was not there yet. Instead, there was a lively continental lady ordering a bottle of Superdry beer and starting to drink it even before the colleague arrived.
When the colleague finally showed up without even greeting anyone, he immediately ordered the all-you-can-drink option. It turned out that the all-you-can-drink included draft beer, but not bottled beer. It's nice that the standard all-you-can-drink includes draft beer, right? So, we started the all-you-can-drink again from there, haha. However, I only drank Jim Beam whiskey, which was just right in terms of strength.
For food, we had a satisfying volume of seafood avocado salad for 979 yen, horse sashimi carpaccio for 759 yen, oyster fry for 649 yen, deep-fried cartilage for 649 yen, extra-large Akashi Shimahokke for 1639 yen, overflowing seafood sushi for 1089 yen, and roast beef for 869 yen. The highlight was the extra-large Akashi Shimahokke, which was particularly delicious. It's almost entirely from the USA, but they don't eat it there, so we're lucky to have it coming into Japan more and more. While Hokkaido's Mahokke is also delicious, being able to enjoy a grilled fish in a large steak-like portion is rare, except for maybe tuna tail steak. We finished the meal with full stomachs.
That was the kind of night it was. *Note: There is a somewhat large step at the entrance of the restaurant, making it difficult for wheelchair access. It's a place that seems suitable for children as well. Enjoy the meal!
