On a regular Tuesday, I took a light day off from work due to a headache from my chronic condition caused by the low pressure. I slept in until midday, and then suddenly remembered this restaurant and decided to visit. It was my fifth attempt. 1) I went on a Wednesday, but they were temporarily closed, with the closure changed to Sundays. 2) I tried on a Saturday, but the lunch was too expensive at 1600 yen, so I gave up. 3) I went on a Friday, but they were closed again. 4) I went during Golden Week on a weekday, but they were only open at night during the holidays. I thought this place was just not meant for me. Previously, they mainly served pasta for around 900 yen, but now they offer lighter options like curry, poke bowls, sandwiches, and hot dogs. This time, I ordered a 1000 yen poke bowl. It came with a radish minestrone soup and a salad of tuna flake pasta. The main poke bowl had thick slices of yellowfin tuna arranged on the plate with a salad of watercress and cut tomatoes drizzled with aurora sauce. It had a Hawaiian vibe. In terms of cost performance, it would be around 1300 yen, and the quality was really good, but I personally didn't like the aurora sauce. It seems that the place used to be a popular izakaya, and the owner changed it into a Western-style bar, maintaining the same quality of food with good ingredients. Perhaps they are attracting a lot of younger customers with this change.

The local small Japanese restaurant has been renovated into an Italian restaurant and started serving lunch, so I visited for an early lunch to avoid crowds. Among the 7 pasta lunch menu options with salad included, I chose the "Cacciatore Spaghetti for 900 yen including tax." The cacciatore, made with plenty of chicken, was flavorful and had a good amount of volume, with just the right level of spiciness that didn't require Tabasco. The fresh spaghetti had a nice chewy texture. The beautifully arranged salad was also delicious. It was a satisfying lunch. I expressed my gratitude and said it was delicious.

Today's lunch was at this restaurant (873rd in the Kasai area). It used to be a Japanese restaurant, but it has been completely renovated and now it's a Western-style restaurant. The lunch menu was pasta. Some Google Maps reviews mentioned it as a "Spanish bar," but there was no hint of Spanish influence in the lunch menu. I wonder what genre this restaurant falls under. I chose the "Tuna Genovese Spaghetti" for 1,000 yen, with an extra 150 yen for a large portion. First, a salad was served, followed by the pasta. The pasta wasn't al dente, but it had a nice texture, making me wonder if it was fresh pasta. When I asked the staff, they confirmed it was fresh pasta. The Genovese sauce was plentiful, with tuna mixed in, creating a delicious combination. The large portion left me feeling satisfied. It was tasty. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere that is not commonly found in this area. It seems to be becoming a popular spot for mothers and older ladies to relax (the customers around me were mostly of that demographic). I think it will become even more popular.

A bistro near Nishi-Kasai Station, which is rare in this area. It used to be a different restaurant with a hard-to-enter exterior, but it has been renovated to have a refreshing appearance. The interior is mainly table seating, with a counter as well. The wooden-based design creates a calming atmosphere. On a holiday evening at 6 o'clock, entering the restaurant with two people, there were already 3 to 4 groups of customers. Only two table seats were available. We ordered the "Beef Tendon and Bean White Wine Stew" (650 yen), a glass of red wine (700 yen), and a small wine glass (500 yen). The small wine glass felt like a small cup, which may be suitable for those who prefer to drink a small amount. If you want to drink more, it's better to order a regular glass. The beef tendon and bean white wine stew was filled with red and white kidney beans, vegetables, and tender beef tendons. It had a gentle and delicious flavor. It was surprising to get such a hearty stew at this price. As a light snack, we also ordered the "Fried Potato with Sunny-Side-Up Egg" (550 yen) and "Pan con Tomate" (150 yen), both of which paired well with wine. We added a "Glass of White Wine" (700 yen) and a "Homemade Lemonade Sour" (660 yen). The homemade lemonade sour was slightly sweet with plenty of lemon slices, giving it a fruity taste. The lemonade with a slight thickness was easy to pair with food and could become one of the representative drinks here. It is suitable for women and men who want to refresh their mood with a refreshing drink. The "Daily Quiche" (400 yen) had plenty of fluffy potatoes with a refreshing tartar sauce, making it delicious. Finally, we ordered the "Pineapple Pork Cutlet" (1600 yen). The pineapple pork is described as pork raised with pineapple. The flavorful pork cutlet was topped with plenty of vinegar-dressed vegetables, providing a satisfying portion. To suit the residential area of Nishi-Kasai, the wine selection is intentionally kept affordable. The menu offers a variety of reasonably priced dishes with generous portions. The restaurant has been carefully designed from the menu to the interior and customer service, making it a convenient bistro in the neighborhood. In the Katsushika-Nishi-Kasai area, where there are not many Western-style restaurants, this bistro seems to be a valuable addition.

I think the draft beer is a bit expensive at 700 yen for the amount you get. The food is all delicious, but the menu is constantly updated based on the season and ingredients, so it might be a good idea to call ahead if you have a favorite dish.
