Earlier, I ate about 1kg of food at Ringer Hut and felt full, thinking I couldn't eat anymore. However, I was drawn to Cozy Corner. It seems that on the 19th, cream puffs are 10% off. I usually go for the standard custard cream puff, but this time I tried the fresh cream one. I didn't have the capacity to eat it there, so I brought it home. It was quite delicious. It's a bit pricey, but that's okay. Thank you for the meal.

After having lunch at the food court in Ito Yokado Kokuryo, I bought some snacks for dessert. I purchased custard eclair and mocha eclair. The eclairs look really nice on the outside, with custard and mocha chocolate coatings that look delicious. The custard eclair tasted like something I've had before and was enjoyable. It's a good value for the price. As for the mocha eclair, I felt that the coffee flavor was a bit weak. I wish it had a stronger coffee taste even if they raised the price a bit. I'll continue to monitor and investigate as needed.

My 5-year-old daughter made a nameplate for me and I was so happy! It was much more delicious than the usual cakes. Thank you for the meal. Will definitely visit again. Recommended!

On Sunday, May 20, 2018, I tried the Setouchi Lemon Blanc for 388 yen.

At Cozy Corner, character-themed whole cakes are sold, and this time it's Winnie the Pooh. The cake looks like it's made with pumpkin cream due to its bright yellow color, but it's actually caramel cream. The cake faithfully reproduces Pooh, with plenty of cream overall, making it quite sweet. The sponge inside is moist and easy to eat. The base has a crispy caramelized crust, which adds a nice texture and delicious taste.

After buying groceries, I was drawn to a cake sale and ended up purchasing a cake that wasn't on sale (lol). I bought a special rare cheesecake made with 5 different types of cheese for ¥380. It was fun to taste the different layers of cheese, especially the bottom part which had a lot of sponge but was satisfyingly filling. The cheesecake was more light and fluffy rather than rich and dense.

Cozy Corner was selling New Year limited edition cakes, cake osechi. There were two types available based on the amount, and I purchased the 12-piece set for 3024 yen. In celebration of the Year of the Dog, there were cute dog-themed mini cakes, cakes with lion dances, and cakes shaped like kagami mochi. Among them were several tarts, which had a crispy texture and mild flavor. The tart cup cakes were especially delicious. The kagami mochi cake was made with tart, with chocolate representing the mikan orange, which paired well with the fluffy cream. The dog-themed cake was also tart-based, with chocolate cake. The chocolate cake and strawberry roll cake were also very tasty.

I remember that Cozy Corner had a premium cake available last month for Premium Friday. This time, it's the "Jumbo Milk Crepe," with layers of chocolate milk crepe and plain milk crepe. The cake is quite tall and resembles an opera cake on the surface, which is of high quality for Cozy Corner. With plenty of cream inside, the crepe is moist and easy to eat. At the bottom, there is a chocolate sponge cake that may be slightly dry, but the cream covers it well. Overall, it was delicious.

Cozy Corner's shortcake and chocolate cake were sold in conjunction with Good Couple's Day on November 22. It's unclear if they are released every year, but they seem to be popular items. Both cakes have unique shapes. The shortcake had a moist sponge that was easy to eat, and it tasted like a high-quality shortcake, although the cream was quite sweet. The chocolate cake had a similar texture, with a chocolate cake flavor. Both were delicious.

I discovered a new dessert that was released in November, although I'm not quite sure what it is. It's called "Melty Cheese Fondue," which is like a cake with cheese fondue on top. The package says that when heated, the cheese will stretch, but when I tried it, the cheese didn't stretch much. The combination of the salty cheese and the sweet cheesecake was a bit strange at first, but surprisingly, I started to enjoy it. It's a pretty innovative product with a unique concept and packaging.

I bought a cake from Cozy Corner for the first time in a while. They had a new product on sale with a 10% discount, which was a lineup of cute citrus-flavored cakes. The cakes were big as usual. Instead of my usual choice of fruit-filled cakes, I decided to try something different this time. I chose the Lemon Pie (made with lemons from Hiroshima). It had a refreshing scent and a balanced combination of tanginess and creaminess. The Lemon Chiffon Cake with honey and lemon was also very fluffy and had a harmonious blend of flavors. It was a delightful experience, although I wish the sweetness was a bit more subdued to let the lemon flavor shine through.

This year, the day has come again. It's my prince's "10th birthday" (#^.^#) He has grown safely and well over the past year. Even though it's already mid-month, we are planning to have a birthday party at my grandfather's house. However, on that day, I caught the flu (T_T) I had already made a cake reservation, so my son went to my grandfather's house alone. My husband decided to stay home and take care of me. In the end, my son celebrated his birthday with my grandparents, and then he went home. The actual birthday fell on a weekday when he had school. Before going to school, I asked him, "What do you want for dinner?" and he said, "I want okonomiyaki." Well, it's his birthday, so why not (#^.^#) I went shopping for teppanyaki, okonomiyaki, and monjayaki. I bought them at Ito-Yokado in Kunio-cho. I thought my husband wouldn't eat cake, and I wasn't sure if I could eat it, so I bought a large chocolate cake on a plate. After dinner, my husband asked, "Isn't there a cake?" I replied, "You had some the other day." I was a bit mean (~_~;) Then my husband said, "Check the fridge." My son went to the fridge and his eyes lit up. "There's something in here." I lit a candle and sang "Happy Birthday." I still vividly remember ten years ago. I've had an amazing ten years with my son. I want to celebrate his birthday next year, and the year after that, and beyond, but someday someone might take him away. At that time, it will be my husband. Please take care of him even more than before. Oh, and about the taste... We usually have a "chocolate ganache cake" at home. It was the first time we tried a large chocolate cake, and it was a bit bitter. It had an adult taste. Even though it was bitter, my son enjoyed it and said, "It's delicious ♡" I'm glad. The Cozy Corner here is located inside Ito Yokado. While the sweets corner at Ito Yokado also has delicious looking sweets, when you see the sweets at a specialty store, your eyes are naturally drawn there (laughs). Anyway, there are so many types of cakes here that it's hard to choose. The designs are also varied and interesting to look at. As for the taste, well, it's just okay. Cozy Corner is famous for their jumbo cream puffs, but the crust is a bit soft and it's all about the size. However, I think this is the standard taste. It's comparable to store-bought sweets, maybe a little bit better.

Specialty stores tend to have higher prices, but looking at other cake shops, this seems to be the standard price range. Normally, the prices range from the mid to late 300 yen per piece. They occasionally have promotions like "Shortcake Day on the 22nd of every month," "Choose 3 items from selected products for 999 yen," and "10% off selected items." Currently, from March 21st (Fri) to March 31st (Mon), they are having a Spring Big Thank You Sale with 15% off on 55 limited items. It might be a good opportunity to visit! Personally, I feel that while they have a decent variety, it seems like the selection is limited or similar. However, when looking at the cakes in the showcase, I can't help but want to try them all and end up feeling indecisive. Overall, the taste is average, not exceptional, but still enjoyable. Sometimes, they have cakes that fit my preferences, although they may not always be available. I purchased the "Sakura Roll," "Strawberry Fruit Cake," and "Strawberry Uji Matcha Cake" this time, choosing cakes with a spring theme.

From Kokuryo Station, walking towards Komae, there is a Ito-Yokado at the intersection. Inside, there is a Cozy Corner, a chain store that specializes in Western-style sweets. While cakes are their main offering, they also sell baked goods. I tried their "Koinu Sabure," which has a cute packaging and is shaped like a small dog with eyes and all. The sabure itself is a typical one with a decent thickness and a crispy texture, with just the right amount of butter. It's the type of snack that makes you want to have it with a glass of milk.

Premium Friday still doesn't seem to be very exciting, but companies are trying to liven it up by selling products related to Premium Friday. In October 2017, Cozy Corner sold a Mont Blanc mille-feuille exclusively for Premium Friday. I bought it as it was only available for one day. The mille-feuille, with its many layers, has a fluffy texture. It is very easy to eat as it has smooth cream in between. There was also sponge in between, which was moist. The chestnut flavor is subtle. A whole chestnut is placed on the top, which was also easy to eat. Among Cozy Corner's products, this was one that I genuinely found delicious.
