This time, I ordered a regular size ice cream that was a little sweet, around 72% I believe. The restaurant was quite crowded, but luckily there was seating available. Today, I ordered a soy latte and a chocolate cornet. The chocolate cornet had a sweet chocolate cream filling, bitter chocolate on the outside, and the bread was slightly firm - very delicious. I was able to relax on the sofa as there was an available seat. It was my first time trying a soy latte, and I found it refreshing, but I think I prefer regular cafe lattes. I had to take a train from Iidabashi Station on this day, so I stopped by Godiva Café to kill some time. You can access it directly from the Kagurazaka side of the west exit. If you plan to dine in, they will ask you to secure a seat first. There were more seats and menu options than I expected, with several cozy sofa seats for individuals. However, it was almost full, so be careful about securing a seat on weekends and holidays. I was tempted by the limited edition parfait for dine-in, but this time I went for the seasonal Chocolixir that I had seen on Twitter. The current seasonal flavor is Pineapple & Coconut! It is inspired by a mocktail version of Piña Colada, adorned with white chocolate. I love Piña Colada cocktails, so this was perfect for getting into a tropical mood for summer. It cost 713 yen, but I was able to get a 50 yen discount by registering on the Godiva app at the store. They also had a parfait available only at night, so I might come back next time to try that.

I finished a little work in the afternoon and decided to take a coffee break. I found a chocolate shop with an empty seat, so I went in and ordered a hot coffee. Surprisingly, the regular size was only 390 yen. The view from the window seat overlooking the river, with the sun setting in the sky, was really nice. The seating was spacious and comfortable.

I had never drank a GODIVA Chocolate Lixir inside the cafe before, only ever getting it to go from their store. The cup was different and it felt fresh. The cafe was quite empty, with spacious and clean seating. Many shops in the station building are closing down, I wonder how long this one will last...

After dinner in Kagurazaka, the idea of having cake comes up and we almost went into Starbucks, but then we noticed Canal Cafe across the street with a "closed" sign. We ended up at Echute Edition Iidabashi, directly connected to Iidabashi Station. We chose a seasonal limited dessert drink at GODIVA Cafe - Mango Pudding. It was a great choice as we could taste both mango and pudding at the same time. The atmosphere was also nice, with spacious sofa seats where we sat side by side comfortably with enough distance between us. GODIVA never disappoints.

GODIVA, which has been actively expanding its stores recently, has a standout location in Iidabashi. The store is located on the second floor of the newly established JR West Exit ticket gate, with around 40 seats including terrace seating. There are also individual chairs that offer a sense of privacy. With two open sides facing west, the view overlooks the outer moat, the Chuo Line running alongside it, and a row of cherry blossom trees. The classic chocolate drinks are priced starting from the 300 yen range. It can be enjoyed in a similar way to Starbucks or Tully's. Despite being a chain, this location has a great view and can be considered a hidden gem.

I took the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line from Shinjuku to Iidabashi station, which only cost me 290 yen round trip. I first visited a Chinese hot pot restaurant, but unfortunately, it was not open yet. Then, I tried a coffee shop, but it was closed on Saturdays. Finally, I headed to the JR Iidabashi station where I found out that two popular stores had closed down recently. I ended up at a Godiva cafe where I ordered a morning set with coffee. The cafe had a relaxed atmosphere and the coffee was strong, served with a delicious waffle and chocolate ice cream. I learned that Godiva had been acquired by a Korean investment fund in 2019, which was surprising. Overall, it was an interesting morning of exploration and dining.

Order: - Belgian chocolate orange flavor 850 yen - Blend M coffee 390 yen The orange-flavored chocolate had a nutty texture. The dough was soft and moist with layers of chocolate. However, the taste was not very satisfying for a Godiva product. It tasted similar to other coffee chains but at double the price. The cafe is open from 8:00 to 22:00 and the interior is surprisingly spacious and relaxing. Miscellaneous: Godiva is a famous luxury chocolate brand founded in Belgium. It has been acquired several times and is now under the umbrella of a Turkish company. The Iidabashi store is the second Godiva cafe in Japan.

It looks like a Godiva store with lots of chocolates displayed. I ordered a hot coffee. It came in a stylish cup. The shop was quite busy, so I sat on the long bench by the window at the back. I was drawn to the parfait and stopped by after work. It's a convenient location above Iidabashi Station. The view is nice and the atmosphere is comfortable. It was around 5 pm, so the mango parfait I wanted was sold out. But I really wanted to eat a parfait, so I ordered a chocolate parfait that I don't usually choose. It cost 1,700 yen. It was really delicious, but it was too sweet for me. I really wanted the refreshing sweetness of fruits after all.

I stopped by because of the heat. I ordered the G Chocolat ice cream for 390 yen. It was not as sweet as I expected, and the portion was not large (the cup is big but there is a lot of ice), making it easy to drink. Similar to drinking espresso at a café or bar in Italy, it's good for quickly drinking and leaving. Despite the luxurious feel of the name GODIVA, this shop had more of a self-service fast food-like setup rather than a café. There were reviews mentioning that the tables and chairs were dirty with chocolate, and indeed the table at my seat was dirty with chocolate, but since it's self-service, it didn't bother me. If it really bothers you, you can wipe it yourself or let the staff know. Parfaits cost around 1800 yen, so there might be requests for a more upscale treatment or to eat in a clean seat. Just sitting in the air-conditioned store and cooling down a bit in the heat helped me regain some energy. Thank you for the meal!

I had some time before class, so I decided to come and eat a parfait. I've purchased GODIVA chocolates and drinks before, but I've never tried their parfait. It was a parfait with plenty of chocolate, and the bottom part was crispy. It was delicious.

I came here to use a coupon I received from LINE Gift. The single-seat chair was spacious and luxurious, allowing me to relax comfortably. The Shokorikisar Dark Chocolate 72% was not too sweet and paired well with the white chocolate-covered strawberries. There were fewer people here compared to Starbucks, which was great. I wanted to use the WiFi but didn't know the password, which made me laugh.

Simply strawberries with chocolate drizzle, but actually quite difficult. The thinness and smoothness of the chocolate. Simple yet requires skill. As expected from GODIVA. Thin and crispy texture. The strawberry flesh is juicy and sweet. The bitterness of the dark chocolate matches well with the fruit juice. A satisfying dessert with a good size. On the other hand, the coffee is subtle. Just bitter and astringent. It's been a while since I had coffee that I found too bitter. Maybe it was just this time. I hope the Chocolate Strawberry becomes a regular dessert.

The station is directly connected so you can get there without getting wet in the rain. I stopped by to kill time and relax before a meeting. I have had frozen chocolate drinks at GODIVA chocolate shop a few times, but here they had a light type of chocolate drink available in hot and iced versions. I decided to try it. The milk cocoa was the closest in taste! If you want something sweet, I recommend the frozen drinks♡

Iidabashi Nishiguchi Station on the second floor. Easy to enter as it is directly connected to the station. There are tables for two people, but the single sofa seat is very attractive. Many people may think they only have chocolate drinks because they advertise Godiva, but they also have a wide variety of coffee, tea, and other drinks. They also serve parfaits. It was quite crowded on a weekday morning, but the spacious environment is very nice and not cramped. The glass walls provide an open feeling. Highly recommended for when you want to relax at a cafe. I managed to secure a seat as soon as one became available and then ordered the GODIVA cafe limited edition, limited time Strawberry Chocolate Parfait for 1980 yen. It had half-cut strawberries, 10 pieces on top with a large strawberry, GODIVA chocolate cream with chocolate sauce, GODIVA chocolate soft serve inside the glass, surrounded by half-cut strawberries, rich chocolate ice cream in the middle, topped with feuilletine and shaved chocolate, whipped cream, strawberry jelly, and various GODIVA chocolates. It was a delicious parfait where you can enjoy the flavors of strawberries and GODIVA chocolates. Thank you for the meal. Available until May 15, 2023.
