At the Kida family's coffee shop in Ario, I had lunch with my beautiful wife and then enjoyed a coffee at the opposite coffee bean shop. Feeling a bit unsatisfied with just coffee, I bought a snack - a chestnut treat. It was a small snack, but it tasted like a firm chestnut cream on a Mont Blanc cake, and it was delicious. It cost 150 yen, and considering its small size, I thought it was worth it!

I finished my first visit of the year to Nishiarai Daishi and then visited the restaurant around 1:00 PM on the weekend. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain Saturday in 1608, after finishing my morning errands, I headed to Ario Nishiarai. It was still before 10:00 am, so the specialty shops were closed. Yoka-do opens at 9:00 am on weekends, so I wandered around until 10:00 am. When I reached the food court and sweets area, I suddenly noticed "Time Sale - Kin-tsuba for 100 yen"! I couldn't resist and made an impulse purchase at Kita-ya! I paid for it (Nanaco card was not accepted) and immediately tried it. Kin-tsuba is quite heavy and large. When I took a bite, the elegant sweetness spread throughout my mouth. It was delicious, not too sweet. I liked how there was still some skin left in the red bean paste. Kita-ya is quite famous and can be found in various places. The most famous items are dorayaki and Rokuninshu, I believe. The regular price of Kin-tsuba is 170 yen. Other items are relatively affordable, so it seems easy to use.

I am at Ario Nishiarai in Adachi Ward. Ario is very convenient when you have children, as it has a variety of restaurants, groceries, movies, children's clothing, pet food, and more. I occasionally visit this place. There is a Japanese sweets shop on the first floor. The shop was established in Showa 30 (1955). I was debating whether to buy something when the staff recommended their delicious red bean paste. I decided to buy some. The popular Rokuninshu dorayaki was sold out, so I bought regular dorayaki and manju. When I tried them, the red bean paste was indeed delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness. Thank you for the meal.

I went alone on a weekday morning. (July 2015) [Rokuninshu] A plump, round, dark-colored dorayaki. The skin is fluffy, with a slight chewy texture. The aroma of black sugar gently spreads, and the simple, gentle sweetness is pleasant. The bean paste, with firm grains, strongly asserts the flavor of beans. It goes well not only with tea but also with coffee. This is a traditional Japanese confectionery shop based in Senju-shuku. They offer a variety of daily sweets that make you want to eat them for a snack at 3 o'clock.

I received a gift of snacks. The dorayaki from Kida-ya, which was established in Showa 30 in Sumida Toshimachi, is the origin of the shop created by the previous generation. The skin is made with Saitama-grown wheat flour and acacia honey, resulting in a moist and smooth texture. The red bean paste inside is soft and just the right amount of sweetness. They are particular about the ingredients to maintain the taste of the previous generation. The red bean paste is made from carefully selected adzuki beans from Tokachi and Memuro, cooked using Kida-ya's techniques. I enjoyed it with hot tea. The combination of the gentle sweetness of the skin and the delicious red bean paste sandwiched inside was delightful. I have tried the dorayaki with a chestnut inside and the kinako red bean paste, but I like this normal one the best. Kida-ya has a variety of Japanese sweets, but I think I still prefer the cream daifuku. Thank you for the meal.

This shop is located on the first floor food corner (near the Shichu side exit) of Ario Nishiarai store at Nishiarai station west exit on the Tobu Isesaki line. I love "Kodai mushi" and although I haven't tried their dorayaki, I'm sure it must be delicious as they use the same sweet red bean paste. Kodai mushi is wrapped in a chewy skin and steamed, with a mild sweetness. It must be really tasty. The chewy texture is amazing, and they are small so you can have as many as you want!

I purchased the "Hitoshuku Ichiguriiri" with one chestnut inside as a greeting gift for my new neighbors when moving. I also bought some for myself because I wanted to try it. I bought 8 boxes, each containing 6 pieces. I was very happy to receive a bonus of Fukura Suzume. The "Hitoshuku Ichiguriiri" is a dorayaki with a single candied chestnut inside. The cake is fragrant and soft, and even eating just that is delicious. The red bean paste is chunky and has a perfect sweetness that goes well with the cake, making it very tasty. I saved the chestnut until the end. It was very soft, well-cooked, and had the perfect sweetness. I think it's a great snack to always have on hand for tea time.

The water yokan and black soybean jelly were refreshing and perfect for the hot season. The dorayaki and fukurasuzume also looked delicious. Dorayaki is said to be the original sweet of the shop. It seems to be a popular long-established store in the local area. It was founded in 1955, starting with making Japanese sweets after the war, having been in charge of food for the military during the war. It seems like a story that could be turned into a morning drama. Nowadays, there are many branch stores, but I wonder what kind of drama led to this point.
