The facade of the restaurant gave the impression that it was run by an elderly couple, but the landlady seemed to be from a foreign country. The welcome sign written in both Roman letters and hiragana was nice. The lunch menu was typical of a casual dining place. I chose the safe option of the fried chicken set meal. It was lunchtime on a weekday and the other customers were all middle-aged men, ordering the "meat and vegetable stir-fry". I started to worry if the fried chicken was a mistake. However, my worries were unfounded. The fried chicken set meal arrived after a short wait. The golden fried chicken had a homemade look with uneven sizes. The crispy coating had a savory soy sauce flavor. The chicken thigh meat was juicy and tender. The pumpkin salad had a homemade feel to it and was a good side dish. The clam soup was light in flavor, highlighting the freshness of the clams. Considering the price, it was not bad at all. The lack of parking along the main road was a downside, but I would consider visiting again for the quality of the food. Next time, I would like to try the popular "meat and vegetable stir-fry".
