Located on the second floor in front of Mejiro Station, "RACINES ORGANIC" is an organic restaurant that focuses on casual menus as an all-day dining concept. The restaurant's concept in Mejiro is "casual, simple, and meticulous." Opening at the end of 2021 as the fifth branch of Racines on the former site of Royal Garden Cafe, "RACINES BREAD&DONUT" is also available. Racines was born as a bistro with a bakery in Ikebukuro in 2010. Managed by Grip Second, Racines also operates "RACINES Boulangerie&Bistro" in Ikebukuro, "Racines FARM to PARK," and "Sheシー" in Hibiya Shante, offering Japanese cuisine, international fusion dishes, and more. Their pride lies in their pesticide-free, additive-free, and naturally leavened freshly baked bread. "RACINES" means "roots" in French. The lunch menu features signature salads, pasta, and pancakes, among others. They also offer courses and sets. A must-try is the "Seasonal Wreath Salad" with a variety of fresh vegetables arranged in a wreath shape, including potatoes, lotus roots, tomatoes, snow peas, green beans, broccoli, yellow carrots, carrots, celery, purple cabbage, onions, wheat, cauliflower, and lettuce. The salad is dressed with Racines' special dressing made from onions and perilla leaves, enhancing the flavors. The "Grip Natural Dressing" is available for purchase at any Grip Group location and is a completely additive-free dressing made from new onions from Awaji Island, organic perilla leaves from Hiroshima, and "Fukujuso Soy Sauce" from Tokushima. The set also includes two types of bread, homemade jam, and whipped butter. The elegant croissant with 12 layers is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, while the mountain bread uses French-made dough. Enjoy a mild iced coffee with attentive service from the friendly staff. Conveniently located in front of Mejiro Station, Racines is a great spot for meetings or quick lunches.
