Usually, the restaurant is bustling with local customers, but it seems that takeout sales are currently the main focus. I decided to get takeout this time because I had delicious anka yakisoba in the restaurant before. The five-ingredient anka yakisoba had plenty of ingredients like shrimp, wood ear mushrooms, quail eggs, carrots, and Chinese cabbage. The thin noodles were well coated with the sauce and tasted delicious. The fried chicken was perfect this time, unlike the slightly overcooked one last time. It was tender and juicy. The tsukune was also soft and easy to eat. Even 10 or 20 pieces could be eaten easily (laughs). The owner is working hard alone, but I hope the lively atmosphere returns soon. Thank you for the meal.

Just outside Tobu Hikifune Station, there is an izakaya with a wide variety of menu options. I decided to give it a try and found it surprisingly welcoming. As soon as I entered, I was seated near the entrance, away from a group of local ladies having a drinking party with their children in the back. I ordered a chu-hi and was served daikon and squid simmered dish as an appetizer. The menu was extensive, so I opted for grilled dishes instead of sashimi due to concerns about freshness. I enjoyed yakitori and tsukune with my chu-hi, which was a bit weak, prompting me to order another one. The lemon sour was also diluted, possibly due to the young waiter making a mistake in the measurements. To be safe, I switched to sake, which was a good choice. I noticed the menu heavily promoting the "Monja Spring Rolls," so I ordered them. Two large spring rolls arrived, crispy on the outside and filled with monja inside. The sauce was rich, so I quickly drank my sake. Before I knew it, my drink was gone, and a smoker sat at the neighboring table, so I decided to leave. The menu was extensive, and the prices were reasonable, making it a good place for a casual drink. I hope the drinks are stronger next time.

I was wandering around looking for a place to drink, and just as I was passing by, a staff member came out and I asked if they had any available seats. They helped me park my bike, and they were very cheerful and friendly! I would love to visit again if I'm in the area. The yakitori was delicious, especially the garlic sauce wrapped in foil that came in the assorted plate.

I'm grateful that they stay open late. The potato mentaiko cheese dish is perfect as a snack. I'm delighted by the wide variety of sake available.

Located just a 1-2 minute walk from Hikifune Station, this shop has a nice atmosphere with interesting alleyways. I drank in Hikifune for the first time, and it really stimulated my drinking spirit (laughs). This time, we used it for a company banquet. I wasn't expecting much with the 3,500 yen all-you-can-drink plan for 2.5 hours, but the food was surprisingly delicious! The hot pot was tasty, and although I forgot the name, the croquettes were also delicious. For the finale, we had a choice between using the leftover hot pot for a porridge or having yakisoba, and we chose the yakisoba which was also tasty. Don't expect too much from the drinks since it's all-you-can-drink (laughs). I feel like it would be enjoyable to come here slowly with a small group.

One evening on a certain day off, I was too busy to cook dinner and didn't have the energy to go far to eat, so I decided to have a light drink at a izakaya near Hikifune Station and then go to sleep. The place was a izakaya called "Aun Hikifune" just a minute away from the station. It was my first time entering the shop, and it was surprisingly clean and neat, which made me a bit hesitant. There were lively voices and laughter from middle-aged women nearby, seemingly having a girls' night out. My companion initially wanted to eat meat, but after choosing about four types of favorite fish from the menu, the staff recommended the "5 kinds assortment" as a more affordable option, so we ordered that along with chicken karaage and osinko for rice. We wanted a salad as well, but unfortunately, they didn't have it. However, my companion almost finished the 5 kinds assortment thinking it was for rice... so we ordered tuna yukke and pork motsu stew to satisfy the craving. We enjoyed the alcohol and were reasonably satisfied. We paid around 5000 yen in total, but I didn't keep an accurate record that day, so I only included the known prices. I apologize for the rambling review. I haven't visited many izakayas around Hikifune Station, but I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Used the all-you-can-drink option at a banquet. The food was decent. The sashimi was pretty good. However, the drinks were terrible! The shochu sour was too weak. Even though I'm not a heavy drinker, it was still too light. Do they think we won't notice because we're already drunk from the all-you-can-drink? Is it because the part-time staff making the drinks are not skilled? It's hard to consider using this place again for a banquet...

I went to this restaurant because an acquaintance used to work there, and it was delicious. I liked that they have unique menu items that you can't find anywhere else. The energetic service from the staff and the kind smiles from the owner and his wife made the food and drinks even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for going with family or your girlfriend. The prices are not exactly cheap, but the food is so delicious that it's worth paying a little extra. I highly recommend everyone to give it a try!

This restaurant may look like a typical town izakaya, but once you open the door, you'll find it packed with locals. The fish is fresh, and the grilled saury is big and thick with just the right amount of char. Other dishes are also delicious and reasonably priced. It's a cozy and welcoming place that I love. Even in a quiet, unpopular street, this restaurant feels like a different world. With a Super Dry beer in hand, the chopsticks just keep moving. And even with all that food, the bill for two comes to only 5000 yen with change, making it a great value for money.

I ordered takeout yakitori this year as well. The yakitori included tsukune, shiso tsukune, pork tongue, thigh meat, and negima. The pork tongue was a bit tough, which was disappointing, but it had a spicy flavor with pepper. The tsukune and shiso tsukune were tender and delicious. The thigh meat and negima were also tender with a great sauce, and I ended up eating and drinking too much (laughs). It's the perfect accompaniment to beer. There's a reason why this place has been loved by the locals for 25 years.

There is a street near Tobu Hikifune Station with many drinking establishments, and one of them is an izakaya. On the day of the Sumida River Fireworks Festival, they were selling yakitori at the storefront, so I bought several types to take home. The chicken thigh, liver, gizzard, and pork tongue were all cooked just right and delicious. The pork tongue seemed to be particularly popular, and I was lucky to get the last one. Next time, I'd like to try different dishes and enjoy them at the restaurant.
