I stopped by to buy a souvenir for my home at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The flagship product "Yumeneko" is a Western confectionery monaka with caramel and crushed almonds. It is made by slowly simmering butter and fresh cream produced in Hokkaido in a pot to bring out the fragrant caramel flavor. The finished caramel is wrapped in monaka skin and baked in a hot oven, creating a mysterious crispy confectionery called "Yumeneko" where the monaka and caramel become one. It seems like a popular souvenir for cat lovers. - White Cat: A plain item that harmonizes the richness of high-quality fresh cream with the unique aroma of vanilla. The elegant and gentle caramel and the crunchy texture of almonds make it a delicious menu. - Pale Pink Cat: Inside the crispy monaka with a light pink color, you can smell the refreshing flavor of framboise. This item matches the sweet and sour taste of wood strawberries (framboise) with the sweetness of caramel. There were three other varieties of "Yumeneko" displayed in the showcase, so I'm looking forward to trying them next time.

I received a snack called Yumeneko from Shigero on Friday. I got three of them, but I ate one almost completely. It's delicious. The caramel and nuts inside the monaka have a sophisticated taste. Personally, I think the outer shell is unnecessary. Shigero 03-3314-9927, Maruyoshi Building 1F, 2-21-11 Koenji Minami, Suginami-ku, Tokyo.

I have a little something to share. I realized that the expiration date had passed, but it's so cute that I have to share it! Even though I don't really like sweets, I ended up buying it (´・ω・`). But this snack actually lasts for almost 3 weeks!! The shop has changed and now they only sell these Yumeneko sweets, which come in 5 varieties! They are cute, they last long, and they might make a good souvenir (*´ェ`*)

I came across a cute cat-shaped sweets shop in a shopping street on my way from Shin-Koenji Station to Koenji Station, so I decided to go in. I bought a black cat chocolate and a white cat vanilla. The cat-shaped monaka shell is filled with finely chopped almonds and nuts, creating a soft and firm texture. The white cat vanilla has a sweet milk-like flavor with soft nuts that complement the monaka perfectly. The inside is like a crispy marshmallow treat from overseas! Delicious!

Founded in 1990, this Western-style confectionery shop incorporates a Japanese touch. It is located about an 8-10 minute walk from JR Chuo Line Koenji Station, closer to Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line Shin-Koenji Station. I stumbled upon it while strolling towards Shin-Koenji Station after viewing some art at a nearby gallery. The shop's appearance caught my eye, so I decided to step inside. One thing that immediately caught my attention was the "Yumeneko" (Dream Cat) treat. It is a cat-shaped confection filled with almond caramel, available in five varieties: white, blue, light pink, purple, and black cats. Their appearance is incredibly cute. I ended up purchasing a pack of five. It's a recommended souvenir. However, although there are five different types, I didn't notice much difference in taste. So, don't set your expectations too high.

Yumeneko in Shin-Koenji, owned by Choro, is a shop where I first met 6 years ago and still dream of having a late lunch at the Guangzhou market. The bustling Paru and Look shopping streets are filled with fools dancing and watching fools. As we pushed through the crowd and headed south, we could see Yumeneko. Yes. It's the shop where I first met and have been dreaming since then. The interior of the shop is filled with Yumeneko. On this day, I bought a 10-piece box (2-tier box) as a souvenir. And of course, I couldn't resist getting one for myself, so I bought a white and black cat. The person who seemed to be the shop owner recommended us to watch the Awa dance, but we had a dinner meeting at Wamiri from 5:30, so we gave up on being fools and headed to Shinjuku. By the way, the Nemuineko still has a delicious crispy Monaka and a chewy almond praline. It's a guilty pleasure to eat them because they are too cute to eat, but they taste delicious once you do. Oh, and this time, both cats were the unlucky ones without almonds. Well, that's it, thank you for the treat~ (*´∀`*)

I saw a cute cat-shaped snack on an online news site and decided to buy it as a gift for my cat-loving friend. When I arrived at the store, I immediately noticed that it was a cat-themed store, with cat products everywhere. I bought a box of "Yumeneko" snacks, which are shaped like cats sleeping curled up. Each snack has a different colored shell and is filled with caramel-flavored crushed almonds and puffs. I tried the blue and purple ones at home with some milk tea. The blue one had a sweet and savory flavor, while the purple one had a cinnamon aroma. The snacks are visually appealing, but some had caramel oozing out from the seams. Overall, they were cute and tasty, but could be made more carefully.

I came across a photo online and as a cat lover, I felt like I had to buy it. On my way back from Ogikubo, I made a detour to Koenji. The shop is located facing a shopping street, so you can't park your car there. You have to park at a nearby parking meter and walk to the shop. Inside the shop, there are plenty of cat goods. In the middle of the showcase, there is a large tabby cat figurine sleeping soundly. It used to be a regular cake shop, but now they only sell five types of cat-shaped monaka. I thought maybe they outsourced the production, but it seems they make them in-house. The monaka contains almonds and other ingredients, and each color has a different flavor. The taste is as expected for a sweet, and the price is a bit on the high side, but it lasts long and the cat-shaped visual makes it a perfect gift for cat lovers. Even though it's a monaka, the western-style filling makes it a taste that wouldn't be out of place even for foreigners.

I came to Koenji after a long time. I took the Seibu Line from Saginomiya and walked to Namino-yu for a morning bath. After taking a bath, I visited the cat goods store "Neko no Gaku" to see the goods and exhibitions, and meet Chat-kun. I walked from the south exit to Shin-Koenji Station, passing through the JR station, and walked through the shopping street to the Marunouchi Line. Along the way, I found a shop called "Mizutamaki no Ko" selling mushroom goods, so I bought something for a friend who I am quite close to. On the way to Shin-Koenji Station, I found some cute cat-shaped snacks. They were purple and pink dream cats sold by Chugoro-san, but I bought one white and one black, thinking that they probably use artificial coloring like Red No. 104. When I got home, I tried them. Delicious. Although these kinds of snacks are too cute to eat, I ended up eating them anyway. Both have a monaka outer shell and almond crunch inside caramel. The white one is vanilla beans, and the black one is chocolate, but I didn't pay much attention as I was hungry and ended up eating them. Looking at the bookmark again, I realized that the blue and pink colors are natural pigments. If I had known that, I would have bought all the varieties and tried them... I apologize for my prejudice. I discovered more shops to check out in Koenji. Thank you for the meal. Below is the store information: Chugoro Tel: 03-3314-9927 Business hours: 11:00-20:00, closed on Tuesdays Address: 1F Maruyoshi Building, 2-21-11 Koenji Minami, Suginami-ku, Tokyo.

On the way back from enjoying a leisurely Bali lunch at Café Bali Champuru after four years, we stumbled upon Shuugorou, the cat-shaped sweets shop in Koenji. Or should I say, "Yumeneko" Shuugorou. About four years ago, when I visited Koenji to buy a gift for the parents of a friend who loves cats, I ended up buying some for myself as well because they were just too cute. The shop was filled with Yumeneko-themed items. Don't waste time deciding which cat, or rather, which color to bring home. You must get the whole set to satisfy your cat-loving heart (laughs). So, we had the grand opening ceremony (laughs). Starting from the top, the white cat is vanilla, the blue cat is soy sauce, the peach cat is raspberry, the black cat is chocolate, and the purple cat is cinnamon. Inside the crispy monaka shell, there's a chewy almond praline with a nice texture that doesn't stick to your teeth. And of course, you can taste each flavor distinctly. It's great that the flavors are not vague. Just like four years ago, I still love the soy sauce flavor of the blue cat. Sweet and salty is the best combination! (Sometimes there are no almond pieces inside, but that's part of the charm). And of course, you can still enjoy the empty box, just like before. A perfect souvenir for cat lovers! Thank you for the meal!

During a business trip to Tokyo, I happened to pass by a shop near Koenji that looked more like a miscellaneous goods store than a sweets shop. However, what caught my eye as I walked by was... cat-shaped sweets. I couldn't resist going in. The small shop had a person who seemed to be the owner inside. There were five different cat-shaped sweets in different colors (flavors). When I asked for a recommendation, I was told that many people choose based on the color. After some hesitation, I ended up buying a set of five. By the way, this shop seems to be a Western-style sweets shop, but when I visited, there were no Western sweets displayed. They must have been in the process of making them. When I opened the sweets at home... they were so cute! I wanted to eat them... so I took a big bite (starting from the head)! Yum, even cats are delicious! I got so excited that it was ridiculous (laughs). I thought they were like monaka from the appearance, but the skin was monaka while the inside was caramel with crushed almonds. It's like nougat. Delicious. The basic white cat (vanilla flavor) was the best among the flavors I tried. The black cat (chocolate flavor) could use a bit more chocolate taste. The purple cat (soy sauce flavor) was more like a Japanese sweet. While the taste is not outstanding, the cat shape alone makes it a great recommendation for cat lovers. It's a perfect gift for cat lovers. Just be careful of getting too excited (laughs).

This is a cute cake shop in the shopping street of Koenji. They also have a sign for gelato. The variety of cakes is limited, but they look very delicious. I think the sponge is made of rice flour. It has a fine texture and couldn't be easily cut with a fork. The matcha roll cake has apricot inside the cream, making it a bit unique. The matcha cream could be a bit stronger. The pound cake is still in the fridge. It has a marble pattern with matcha. I tried the matcha financiers today. It was on the sweeter side, which is the opposite of what I prefer, but still good.

The cream on the cake is delicious. It's not just sweet. It has the right amount of sweetness and a rich cream flavor. I think this is the best cream among the nearby cake shops. Eating their cake made me truly appreciate the deliciousness of cream. I often order whole cakes for parties. My friends who eat it together also praise the delicious cream. The sliced cakes are not very big, and they may be more geared towards adults than children. They also offer smaller sizes for whole cakes. You can write a message on the whole cake individually, and it can be ready in as little as 1 hour after ordering.

At first, I thought it was a boutique store, but upon closer inspection, I realized it was a cake shop with cakes displayed in the showcase. I bought a chocolate roll cake, a matcha roll cake, and a tiramisu. I had the tiramisu, which had a nice richness and was like eating pudding. The shop was small with limited options, but it had a cozy atmosphere and was a friendly place to visit!

The name sounds cool, like a izakaya, but it's actually a small cake shop (Western sweets) for takeout. You can also enjoy their cakes at Cafe noble in the same Koenji shopping street. The cakes are generally small and not too sweet, and the creme brulee seems to be popular. (I love it too! The caramel on top is crispy and delicious.)

I had a strawberry shortcake. The whipped cream was milky but not too sweet! I thought the strong flavor and size matched really well!

A gift received. A snack in the shape of a cat made with Monaka skin filled with nut crunch-like filling. It has a caramel-like scent and tastes delicious.
