I stayed overnight on Sunday night for a business trip to Nippori City on Monday morning. It has been exactly one year since my last stay at the "Business Hotel Issa Annex" in Nippori City. The hotel is conveniently located near the north exit of Ichigakuen Station on the Seibu Tama Lake Line, making it the closest to my destination the next day. As for the hotel itself, I'll leave that aside for now and focus on dinner in a separate review. **Japanese-style Breakfast for 260 yen including tax** There is no Western option available, only a daily Japanese-style breakfast. Breakfast time is from 7:00 to 8:00 in the morning, and due to COVID-19 measures, only four people are allowed in the dining room at a time. When I arrived at 6:55, I was the first one there and the dishes were just being set up. Today's menu included shumai, scrambled eggs, nori seaweed, freshly cooked warm rice, miso soup, and pickles. It was more than enough! The shumai was surprisingly big and moist inside, still warm. The scrambled eggs were not like the usual scrambled eggs but more like the ones I used to eat before, with finely chopped onions and well-cooked crumbly eggs. The rice was warm and you could have seconds, of course. The miso soup was piping hot, and with the nori seaweed, I had to go for seconds. All this for the same price as last year, 260 yen! In today's economy, I think they could easily charge 300 yen for this. It's cheaper than buying two rice balls at a convenience store! Even a triangle sandwich would cost more than 260 yen. And don't even get me started on breakfast at a beef bowl chain... This place may not be geared towards tourists, but as a lodging base near Ichigakuen Station in Nippori City, I would love to make it my regular stay. I also found some good dinner options nearby. (But it seems like I'm the only one writing reviews about this place...) Thank you for the meal.

I stayed at the Business Hotel Issa Annex for a business trip. I chose this hotel for its close proximity to the nearest station, Ichigakuen Station on the Seibu Tama Lake Line, and its affordable price of 6,600 yen. The hotel was decent enough for a night's stay. I decided to try the breakfast, which I had pre-booked for 260 yen. The breakfast was served from 7:00 to 8:00 in the morning in a dining area with two tables. Due to the current circumstances, I sat diagonally across from another person with an acrylic board in between us. The breakfast included tamagoyaki with cabbage, grilled fish with pumpkin, seasoned seaweed, pickles, rice, and miso soup. For 260 yen, the breakfast was surprisingly good. The warm rice and hot miso soup were much appreciated, and the hot and strong tea made with a teapot was delicious. Overall, the breakfast was simple but satisfying.
