とろきち
★I visited this restaurant with a group of five, including local friends and younger members from my university club. We met in front of the old Marui building (Hachioji Twin Towers A building) on a Friday night before the long weekend, and the area was bustling with young people and street promoters. Tonight, at the request of one of the younger members who wanted to eat yakiniku, my friend recommended "Maigyu". Located on the second floor of a building just a 3-minute walk from the station, this small restaurant has a few counter seats and four tables for four, creating a calm atmosphere without the typical smell of a yakiniku restaurant. The ventilation system uses a charcoal grill on the table and forced exhaust from the ceiling. Overall, the quality of the meat, dishes, and drinks is good, although the cost performance may be slightly lower. The clientele is generally older, allowing for a more relaxed dining and drinking experience. We enjoyed beers, lemon sours, and highballs with dishes like negi-shio-tan (green onion salted tongue), kalbi, loin, upper mino, pork belly, chicken, squid, and scallops. The younger members finished with stone bibimbap and cold noodles. All the meats were of high quality and very delicious for the price. There was a group in the restaurant who seemed to be regulars, which is a good sign. The proximity to the station, quiet atmosphere, and tasty food make this a place I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!
