Visited on a day off at night. It's an izakaya in Hachioji. Ordered chicken thigh skewers, asparagus tempura, scallop butteryaki, whole squid grilled, and deep-fried tofu. Some dishes were not cost-effective, but overall it was cheap and satisfying. Thank you for the meal! 😊

The second stop of the day on the Hachioji expedition was at this restaurant with a point-up fair. After filling up on shabu-shabu earlier, we made a reservation and visited for the first time on Saturday around 7 pm. The appetizer was 330 yen (including tax). With a Hot Pepper coupon, the first drink was free - a tomato highball which is normally 350 yen. We also ordered bonito sashimi for 385 yen, which came with ponzu sauce, ginger, garlic, and green onions - a nice touch. I had a glass of red wine for 350 yen and ordered 3 pieces of tuna sushi for 330 yen, just to try something different. However, what arrived was tuna sashimi for 385 yen. Well, sometimes things don't go as planned, right? The tuna was a bit watery and the flavor was average, so the satisfaction level was low. The restaurant was bustling, with probably over 90% of the seats occupied. The counter had 5 seats, but 4 were taken because some customers were using the space to put their belongings. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the older gentleman who was in charge of the dining area. The only downside was the waitress, who seemed a bit aloof and mistook the sushi for sashimi. Overall, this popular restaurant near JR Hachioji station offers decent prices and a lively atmosphere. It might be a good choice for groups. Thank you for the meal!

In this day and age, it's a place where you can relax. The menu is extensive and the food was delicious. The dishes are also reasonably priced and very tasty. The menu is around 300 yen and the portions are generous! The staff's service is also very good, making it an easy place to enter. It's a restaurant I want to visit again.

I ended up working overtime and it was close to 8:00 pm. So, I wandered around near Hachioji Station and visited this place that opened in May this year for the first time. When I entered, about 70% of the seats were taken. It was lively. I sat at the counter in front of the kitchen. Currently, the counter has 5 seats. I ordered a black Hoppy. It's been a while. The appetizer was sausages, quite unusual. I first ordered the potato salad, scallop sashimi, and amberjack sashimi. The potato salad was ¥300 and quite filling. It had a French dressing that was not too thick or too thin. When I finished the potato salad, the sashimi arrived. The amberjack had a chewy texture. The scallop had a hint of sweetness within the ocean flavor. Both had a bit of wateriness, but considering the price, they were good. I ordered another shochu and was hoping to have chicken liver, but it was sold out. So, I ordered the chicken nanban and the recommended beef tataki. The tataki arrived in about 5 minutes. The meat's umami flavor was lacking. It was also a bit pricier compared to other dishes, so I was a bit unsure. After a while, the chicken nanban arrived. It was quite a generous portion with a lot of tartar sauce. The batter was crispy, and the meat was tasty, but slightly overshadowed by the tartar sauce. Overall, it was a pleasure to enjoy classic izakaya dishes again.

This is a roadside izakaya near Hachioji Station. Today, I drank with my childhood friend from elementary school. It was quite crowded, but they also have private rooms so it's not noisy. It's affordable and the food is delicious.

It's Dozakura Izakaya. It was super cheap and they had a 2-hour time limit, but the all-you-can-drink and food were reasonably priced. I went drinking with my elementary school friend.

Recommended for a casual drink, the main menu is extensive but the lack of seasonal menu items is a downside. However, it is a very affordable place with friendly staff, making it a comfortable place to be.
