After much deliberation, I chose the TAMDHU SHERRY OAK CASK 2021 LIMITED EDITION 700ml 58.0% NATURAL COLOUR Hong Kong Spring Festival Limited Edition for ¥10,725 (tax included). It's a bit of an adventure, and the sherry color is enticing. I've bought two bottles from TAMDHU in the past, and they never disappoint. Back at home, I opened the bottle, savored the sweet aroma, and enjoyed it straight. It was so delicious that I was instantly in a state of bliss. I'll definitely be back for more at Tanakaya. I heard that the owner even appears on TV, which is impressive. Last time, I found a rare bottle that was sold out and it made me very happy. Today, I wandered around the store for a while. It felt like I was searching for a hidden treasure in a museum. I was indecisive in the store filled with whiskeys I wanted, and then I found a bottle of GOLDEN & MACPHAIL from BALBLAIR DISTILLERY 21! Today's purchase: GOLDEN & MACPHAIL FROM BALBLAIR DISTILLERY 21 ¥10,000 (excluding tax). Now, what should I eat with this whiskey to enjoy a moment of happiness? 21 years old, I wonder what kind of journey it has been through. Once again, I had a wonderful encounter today. Thank you! For someone with decreased eyesight like me, it can be difficult to distinguish similar bottles. However, the wide floor is filled with a variety of foreign liquors. There are many liquors I have never seen before, such as whiskey, wine, gin, vodka, liqueur, craft beer, and even sake. The store also offers many reasonably priced items, making it a dream-like space for me. The handwritten explanations on the products are easy to understand and even entertaining to read. I lost track of time reading them. Today, I found a rare item that has been discontinued, so I purchased it: GLEN GARIOCH [12] 1000ml for ¥5,000 (excluding tax). I couldn't find it in other liquor stores recently, and it turns out it has been discontinued! There was a purchase limit of one bottle per person, and there were only 3 bottles left, so I hurried to buy one. There were many other liquors I wanted, but I decided to start with the rare bottles. I visited here based on the recommendation of Leandro at Otsuka, as I wanted to try Madeira and Sauternes as soon as possible. The main items I purchased were: - Cossart Gordon Rainwater ¥2850 - Petit Guiraud 2015 Half Bottle ¥1950 (Plus consumption tax) The Cossart Gordon Rainwater was a unique choice with a balance of sweetness and acidity typical of Madeira wines. The Petit Guiraud 2015 Half Bottle had a rich botrytis aroma but was less sweet than expected, with a hint of acidity similar to a sweet German wine. Each bottle in the store had a handwritten tag with interesting facts and illustrations, making the selection process enjoyable. I was impressed by the owner's selection and will definitely visit again. Thank you for the great experience!

This time in Tokyo, I planned to leave early so I wouldn't get too drunk. I was wondering if I could buy a glass without breaking it and take it home with me while enjoying a beer. I visited here after already buying three glasses at Mikkeller in Shibuya and bread from three different shops, so I had a moderate amount of stuff. I was hoping to find glasses from Stone and Modern Times. They didn't have the Stone glass with a character on it, which I had never seen before, so I bought that one along with three beers. The whole process took about 10 minutes.

Located underground, down the stairs on the left side of a building on Mejiro Street, after exiting Mejiro Station and turning left, this liquor store offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages including whiskey, gin, vodka, brandy, wine, and various liqueurs. The store is packed with shelves full of alcohol, making it a joy to browse around. Handwritten explanations on each type of alcohol add to the experience. The store has received the World Whisky Award for the best single retail store in 2010. They do not offer shipping or reservations, so you must visit in person to purchase. The store's policy may help prevent reselling of rare bottles. I purchased two bottles of whiskey to enjoy at my hotel during my trip. I look forward to visiting this place a few times a year. I went to my regular monthly favorite restaurant in Mejiro, and on the way back, I went to a new place with friends! It was my first time there, but it was a really fun place to just look around! It seems to specialize in Western liquor, but they had a wide selection of Japanese sake, which I love, so I had a great time! However, when I tried to buy a small bottle that wasn't too heavy, it turned out to be plum wine, haha. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any photos inside because it was prohibited, but I highly recommend this place for those who love alcohol!

I went to see the wine, but there were also a variety of rums and whiskies. Especially for beer lovers, there are many unique brands that you may have never seen before, so it's a must-see. There are also plenty of beer glasses and goods, which is quite rare to find. (There are not as many options for sake and shochu)

Great place to find Islay whiskies and limited editions! This time, I was able to get my hands on the Bowmore 18-year limited edition recommended by the owner. I'm thrilled!

It is enjoyable to choose a wine while reading the labels in the slightly chilly wine cellar. It seems that taking photos inside the store is prohibited. The shop is underground, so it may be a bit hard to find, but look for the wooden sign. As soon as you go down one step, the atmosphere changes like a breath of fresh air. It feels like a museum, slightly cool and calm. The interior is a bit dim, quiet, and orderly, just like a museum! It's almost intimidating to even speak a little louder. The shop is about the size of a large convenience store, packed with all kinds of alcohol. From craft beer to whiskey, sake, wine, rum, craft gin... you name it, they have it in a variety of quantities. A must-visit for alcohol lovers. The craft beers I bought this time are KUNO LIKE SHONAN from WEST COAST BREWING, Skywalker from YOROCCO BEER, Strawberry Milkshake IPA from Far Yeast Brewing, CORE from UCHU Brewing, and Tamashii from Kyoto Brewing. I bought a wide range of limited edition, seasonal, and regular products. I'm especially looking forward to trying the "Strawberry Milkshake IPA / Far Yeast Brewing" in the middle. I love the edgy taste of Night Watch Project beers. I'll have to try different types of alcohol next time!
