I found a delicatessen shop near Akigawa Station in Tokyu. The shop mainly sells fried food, and they were selling "Baron Croquette" for 110 yen, so I bought one. Even though I only bought one piece, they included shredded cabbage as a service. This is a nice touch. The batter is uneven in color and light. The texture of the potato is soft, but the sweetness of the potato comes through. Because the seasoning isn't too strong, you can really taste the sweetness. It might have been even tastier if there was some minced meat in it.

In Akiruno Tokyu, I found a slightly rustic yet charming restaurant compared to other delicatessens. Next to it is Tonkatsu Saboten, which even boldly sells fried foods like tonkatsu. They also offer delicious deli items by weight. After some hesitation, I chose the Chicken Fillet Fry for 200 yen + tax and 100g of Kyarabuki for 230 yen + tax. The Chicken Fillet Fry was crispy and not soggy when microwaved, with a good amount of seasoning. The meat was tender and not greasy, quite refreshing to eat. I realized later that the plastic bag contained shredded cabbage. As for the Kyarabuki, it had a well-balanced seasoning, not too strong or weak, slightly sweet but just right. The texture was perfect, and I enjoyed the taste. I think it offers good value for money. Thank you for the meal.
