The atmosphere is cute and calming, and the pancakes and tea were delicious. The owner was very kind. It was nice to see them chatting happily with regular customers, showing their good personality. It's a bit far from Kyoto Station, but it's a good place for a break after getting off the Shinkansen. ★3.5
[Reason & Purpose]
I got off at Kyoto Station from the Shinkansen and was looking for a cafe. I searched on Tabelog based on the number of reviews and decided on this place.
[Location, Waiting Time, Seating, Atmosphere, Customers, WiFi, Toilet, Smoking, Stroller, etc.]
About a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, near a large temple (forgot the name). They close around 5 pm, and I visited around 3 pm. The cafe has about 4-5 tables and a counter. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming. It's cute but also suitable for coffee-loving businessmen or older men, creating a comfortable environment. There is enough space for a stroller, and if there are few customers, you can connect tables to have a comfortable meal even with children.
[Food]
(Order, Taste, Portion, Waiting Time, etc.)
- Pancakes cooked on a copper plate (¥650)
- Ice Royal Milk Tea (¥600)
The scones looked delicious, but I decided to try the pancakes cooked on a copper plate since it seemed to be a specialty of the cafe. They were simple but very delicious. Sharing one pancake between two people was just right. The Royal Milk Tea was also very tasty! It may be a bit pricey, but we had a relaxing and enjoyable time in the calm atmosphere. Thank you.
[Service]
The owner was very kind, and it was clear that they were a good person. A regular customer, a businessman, also came in and chatted happily.
