A café on the second floor of Poholo in the east. It has a calm atmosphere and their specialty is ricotta pancakes. When I went there at 8:30 in the morning, about five seniors were relaxing. There are magazines available, so you can spend a leisurely morning. Many people seem to stay for a long time, as there are signs offering "half-price refills" here and there. I chose the Morning A with cold brew coffee, which was drink-only for 540 yen. A comes with toast and boiled egg, but it seems they don't serve it now. The impact of the high egg prices is also felt here. The iced coffee was strong and satisfying in terms of quantity.

On a day off, I visited this place for the first time. My partner and I shared the nostalgic Showa-style Napolitan and the Hot Chicken Sweet Chili Sauce Plate. Both dishes were delicious. The view outside the window was of the green trees along University Street, creating a very calming atmosphere in the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

A cafe located a short walk from the university street. I was happy to finally visit as I had wanted to go there. The interior is very stylish and seems to be a relaxing place for locals. The option to order a refill at half price is wonderful. The cafe latte was very delicious. I will definitely go back again.

On a holiday, we stopped by with family at a cafe located a 3-4 minute walk from the south exit of Kokuritsu Station. Unlike other branches of this cafe chain that usually have spacious parking lots along the main road, the Kokuritsu store is located inside the commercial facility "popolo" and does not have a parking lot. When we visited during the peak time for afternoon snacks at 3 o'clock, the cafe was about 80% full, mainly with Kokuritsu's ladies and students. Compared to other branches, there were fewer families. We were lucky to find an empty sofa seat for four people. We ordered the usual special ricotta pancake to share, and it was served in about 20 minutes. The fluffy pancake with a hint of sweetness and plenty of smooth cream melted in our mouths quickly, and it disappeared in no time. Oh, if only we could have this at home... Thank you for the meal. We will come again.

There was fresh pasta and low-carb noodles available. I decided to try the noodles because they were slightly thicker and had a chewier texture than regular noodles. The shrimp and scallops were large and satisfying in the pasta. The iced coffee was also delicious. The staff were all friendly, which was a plus. Many people come alone, so the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. Each table has plenty of space, allowing for a comfortable dining experience.

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday morning. It was after 8:00, but the spacious interior had few customers, so I could choose my preferred seat. As soon as I sat down, I was told "It's a 2-hour limit," which caught me off guard, but another staff member mentioned, "When it starts to get crowded...," so I felt a bit relieved. The blend coffee was a bit pricey at 480 yen, but I was satisfied with the taste and quantity. The aroma may be faint, but the bitterness is natural and not too strong, and the cup is filled generously. The rim of the cup is thin and easy to drink from. I also added the Egg Slatt Morning for an extra 380 yen. The vegetables were crunchy, and the Egg Slatt had a hefty amount of potatoes under the eggs, providing a satisfying bite. On the other hand, the toast was quite light. The pleasant atmosphere, perhaps due to the few customers, made me want to visit again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal.

Kohkura Coffee. I had always wanted to try it but never got around to it. I see now. The quality is really high. I had the set with the creamy omelette rice with Iberico pork and cream pancake. The omelette had the perfect creamy texture. The Iberico pork slices were grilled with demiglace sauce. It came with pickled red cabbage. The flavor of the Iberico pork fat was delicious. The sauce had a rich and wonderful taste. The cream pancake, even though it was a half size, made me want a full size. The coffee was also delicious! The comfortable chairs and the brown-themed interior with wooden accents create a calming atmosphere. I definitely want to come back here. It's a great place for a relaxing break during work or a peaceful moment for reading on a holiday. It's a space where you can feel a little bit of luxury. I'll come back again!

At around 13:30 on a weekday, two adults visited the restaurant. It was not very crowded at this time, so we were able to sit at a table towards the back. The atmosphere was calm with Beatles paintings on the walls and music playing in the background. The menu had a variety of options including pasta, omelettes, and sandwiches, but we decided to try the Ricotta Pancakes, which were recommended by my companion. They were delicious, and even my companion who doesn't like sweet foods enjoyed them. The pancakes were fluffy and tasted great with maple syrup. The fruits on top, like kiwi and strawberries, were also very sweet and added to the overall experience. Although the pancakes took a bit of time to arrive, they were worth the wait. Overall, the restaurant was a nice place to relax and enjoy a tasty meal.

I had been curious about Takakura Town Coffee since I saw it featured on a news program a while back. I happened to be in the area where it is located, so I was able to visit. When I arrived a little after 12:00, there were quite a few people waiting, but I was able to get in fairly quickly. The showcase at the entrance displayed delicious-looking cakes. I thought, if I'm here, I have to try the pancakes! Looking at the menu, there were several types of pancakes available. I was drawn to the Marron Ricotta Pancakes, so I ordered that for 1182 yen (excluding tax). My friend ordered the Special Cream Ricotta Pancakes for 928 yen. The pancakes here are made by adding ricotta cheese to a batter of flour, egg yolk, and milk, then gently folding in egg whites (meringue) and baking until golden brown. Each pancake is cooked to order, so there was a bit of a wait. While waiting, I saw various other dishes being served, all looking delicious. When the pancakes arrived, they looked very appetizing! Both looked delicious! The Marron pancakes had plenty of Marron cream, but it wasn't too sweet and was light and fluffy yet moist. The sweet chestnut-like topping on top was a nice touch. I really enjoyed it. Despite being quite filling, I polished it off in no time! The Special Cream pancakes had a refreshing and tasty cream on top of the pancake. The cafe latte was also delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable with sofa seating and a spacious interior. They even provided a bag for storing masks, and the service was stylish and cozy. It's a popular cafe, as there were still people waiting when I left. I definitely want to go back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I saw another store being introduced on the internet, so I looked it up and found it in Kunitachi. I had some business to attend to nearby, so I decided to visit for breakfast. They open from 7 am, which is not very common around here. I didn't know this cafe chain, but it had a somewhat luxurious feel to it, similar to Hoshino Coffee. They had a variety of breakfast menu items, including tempting pancakes, but I'm on a diet. However, I noticed they had the Eggslut dish that I had been wanting to try since my visit to Hoshino Coffee. I decided to try it here instead. The Eggslut came in a jar-like container, with a soft texture that was enjoyable. The toast came with it as well. The side salad had a choice of dressing, I believe. I wish it had a bit more volume, but considering the price, it was nutritious, balanced, and healthy. The spacious interior of the cafe allowed for a relaxed atmosphere. If I come across this chain in other cities, I would definitely like to stop by. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Takakura Machi Coffee in Popolo Shopping Center on the 2nd floor of the National University Street, which was produced by the founder of Skylark. I entered because I had a stamp card valid until the end of April 2019 that I got from Takakura Machi Coffee Kodaira store. The reason for visiting was partly due to the proximity of the expiration date, but also because it was Popolo. There used to be a shopping building called Popolo in front of Tanashi Station (Seibu Shinjuku Line) before the large-scale redevelopment more than 24 years ago, with Tanashi Shoten, Shinseido, and a toy store on the 2nd floor. I wanted to know if it was related to the Tanashi Popolo Building that disappeared in the 1995 redevelopment, so I infiltrated Popolo in Kokuritsu, but I couldn't find out in the end. I had an iced tea at Takakura Machi Coffee, which was Earl Grey flavored, as I like Earl Grey tea. It was just average. The characteristic of the place is that the age group of the customers is high. This is because various schools for lessons (such as dance) are located in the Popolo Shopping Center, and groups come here for tea after their lessons... It's crowded. Also, the staff seemed inexperienced or not used to the operation, making it less smooth compared to the standalone Takakura Machi Coffee Kodaira store.

I used my day off to go shopping in the town and have a leisurely lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the beef yakiniku jambalaya and a blended coffee. I wished they had asked if I wanted the coffee after the meal, but they brought it before. The beef yakiniku jambalaya had plenty of grilled beef on top with a slightly spicy sauce that I could adjust to my liking. The spring greens were crunchy and delicious, and there were plenty of other vegetables as well. It's a good place to relax during lunchtime.

I heard that there is a delicious pancake shop in Kunitachi, so I visited here. The location is along Daigaku-dori, about a 5-minute walk from Kunitachi Station. The shop has many sofa seats and the spacing between neighboring seats is wide, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It's so cozy that I might end up staying longer than planned (*^^*) I ordered pancakes, of course! The seasonal limited edition Mango Ricotta Pancake looks really delicious!! But first, I ordered the special Ricotta Pancake with "Japan's best pancake" written on it for 1000 yen! It took a bit of time to bake, but it arrived soon. When I cut it with a knife, it was really fluffy!!(*^^*) It felt like eating a fluffy pudding rather than a pancake! There was no powdery texture, and you could really taste the egg. It felt more like steamed than baked... that kind of sensation. This might be a divisive point, but I personally prefer pancakes with a bit more powdery texture^^; But it's delicious! I also enjoyed the special cream, which was not too sweet, so I put plenty of it on top (*^^*) However, be careful because when you mix it with the caramel sauce? at the bottom, it becomes quite sweet! In the end, I got a bit tired and couldn't finish it alone... But I liked the taste and atmosphere, so I hope more branches will open in the future! If you want to relax and have some tea in Kunitachi, although it's a bit of a walk from the station, I would choose this place over settling for Starbucks along the way! Next time, I want to try their morning menu! Thank you for the meal!

This is a review from 2018 that I recently rediscovered. I really like Musashino Mori Coffee, which is very similar to Takakura Town Coffee. It seems that Musashino Mori Coffee was created with Takakura Town Coffee in mind. The cafe was opened by the Skylark Group, which was inspired by Takakura Town Coffee. The former president of Skylark apparently mentioned this when the first Musashino Mori Coffee shop opened. The coffee shop was created by the former president of Skylark. The Napolitan dish is delicious with plenty of ingredients, making me want to eat it again. The tonkatsu sandwich was crispy and delicious, and the pancakes were fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth type. I would love to visit again, especially during cherry blossom season.

It was a cozy place where I enjoyed lukewarm coffee and cold gratin, spending precious time. It was my first visit in a while, and I couldn't decide between pancakes or the limited-time shrimp gratin, but ended up choosing the latter. First, only the blend coffee arrived. I realized that I hadn't mentioned wanting it first, and they didn't ask about the timing. I took a sip and it was lukewarm. I thought, "Oh no, what should I do?" but the staff seemed busy and I couldn't call out to them. Finally, when the gratin arrived, it was completely cold, with no trace of heat. The taste was good, but it was disappointing. I was reminded that temperature is also a part of the taste in food. Is this really the same restaurant as a few months ago? The store still has shortened business hours. I hope the headquarters will conduct a surprise inspection...

It's disappointing that wine is no longer on the menu, but the fact that drink refills are half-price allows you to relax. We were able to sit in a private room in the back and ended up staying longer than planned.

On the way back from the first shrine visit of the year, I took a walk to Kunitachi. Surprisingly, there were quite a few shops open from New Year's Day. I waited in line for a bit, but I enjoyed coffee and cake. Thank you for the meal.

This is my favorite shop that I visit once a week. The staff are all very friendly and make me feel glad every time I go. The cafe latte at Takakura-machi Coffee is served in a large cup and is very satisfying! My usual order includes green salad, scallop and root vegetable doria, and katsu sandwich (I often get it to go). Sometimes I treat myself to fluffy pancakes or the Mont Blanc cake, which sells out quickly! The shrimp doria and Neapolitan pasta are also very delicious. I usually get a set with coffee for my mom, while I order a black honey cafe latte with half the black honey cream added to my mom's coffee. It's amazing! They have a stamp card where you can earn presents and a 500 yen food and drink voucher when you collect all the stamps. The second drink is half price, though I miss the banana juice and hot royal milk tea that used to be included. That's the only downside. I will continue to visit, so please keep up the good work!
