I stopped by here on my way back from climbing Mount Takao, craving a sweet and cold treat as a reward. The mountain had many foreign visitors, so I thought this matcha and red bean parfait would be popular. I enjoyed it while looking out the window at the beautiful garden and mountain, feeling relieved.

After coming down from the mountain, I stopped by this place. Since it was hot, I had a coffee float. It was black coffee with plenty of ice cream. The refreshing ice cream was delicious. There were also exhibits of plants and animals from Mt. Takao, as well as a shop, which made it enjoyable.

After hiking the Takao Castle Mountain Trail, I treated myself to a Takao Mountain Parfait at Takao 599 Museum. The museum features exhibits of insects and animals (stuffed) that live on Mount Takao, and it's free to enter. It's a great place to take a break and relax after a long hike. The Takao Mountain Parfait is a unique treat with green tea and sweet red bean paste. It's not too sweet, making it perfect for adults. The parfait was refreshing and delicious, and the view from the cafe window was of the mountain scenery I had just hiked through. Mount Takao offers challenging trails with cliffs, so it's important to have the right gear when hiking there. I love hiking in the mountains!

The beautiful lawn was a nice view, so I decided to stop by the cafe in front of me. I only had honey soft serve ice cream. It seems like a new facility, but was Takao always this stylish? It was so beautiful that I couldn't help but stop by. Of course, the soft serve ice cream was delicious.

In early March on a Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, my family and I went to see the plum blossoms at Takao Baigo near Takao-Sanguchi. We parked our car at Takao-Sanguchi Station and walked around the area. The white and red plum blossoms were in full bloom and absolutely beautiful. After enjoying the scenery, we decided to take a break at the cafe inside 599MUSEUM near Takao-Sanguchi Station. We had discovered this facility on our way back from climbing Mt. Takao last time. Upon entering, we found it to be very stylish! However, we were too tired from hiking to drink coffee and relax, so we made a mental note to definitely visit next time! The following week, with the weather being nice, we revisited without a moment to spare. The 599MUSEUM was bustling with what seemed to be a school trip for children and their teachers. We quickly ordered a siphon coffee at the 599 Cafe. The museum has a large open space attached, where children were running around and having fun. From our table, we had a clear view of the outside through the glass, which was lovely. We received a number tag and sat at a table with a view of the open space. It was truly relaxing. Shortly after, the siphon coffee arrived. The coffee was poured into a cup from the flask-like container. It had a very smooth taste without emphasizing the bitterness too much. Enjoying this coffee in such a setting felt luxurious. Thank you for the leisurely time. It was a delightful experience.

I visited the restaurant around 3 pm on a weekday. The place was crowded, probably because it was the autumn foliage season at Mt. Takao, but I managed to get a seat by the window with a view of the mountains and grass. I ordered a siphon coffee. Since siphon coffee takes time to brew, I paid at the counter and the staff brought it to my table. The serving was generous, equivalent to about 2.5 cups. With this amount, it might be more cost-effective than drip coffee. It had a good acidity and tasted delicious.

A free museum located at the foot of Mt. Takao, which is known for being the most popular mountain for hikers in the world. The museum, called Takao 599, is in Hachioji City and offers information and a public space to share the charm, future, and appeal of Mt. Takao. Inside the museum, there is a cafe called 599CAFE, which is located near Keio Line Takao-Sanguchi Station. The cafe overlooks a lawn with tables and chairs made from Tama-grown wood, providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy high-quality coffee. After hiking on Mt. Takao, I visited the cafe and ordered the Takao Coffee Blend (siphon-style for 550 yen, drip-style for 400 yen), enjoying it at a table inside while looking out at the lawn. The drip-style Takao Coffee Blend for 400 yen had a refreshing and mild taste.

There is a café located near Takao-yamaguchi Station on the Keio Line, inside the Hachioji City Natural History Museum TAKAO 599 (managed by Keio Agency), named after the elevation of Mount Takao, which is 599 meters. I stopped by after hiking Mount Takao. I ordered the Takao Coffee Blend (drip style) for 400 yen, and it had a refreshing and mild taste.

A spacious cafe near Takao Yamaguchi Station. You can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while looking out at the lawn. They have siphon coffee, which is a nice touch. They also offer sweets like roll cakes, perfect for rejuvenating after a hike. You can also learn about insects collected in Mount Takao, as well as taxidermy of wild boars, flying squirrels, and more.

◆Food Fluffy cheesecake with fromage cheese on top of a sponge cake. The cheese flavor is subtle, with an equal balance between the fromage and sponge. The fluffy and light texture makes it easy to eat even when not very hungry. ◆Drink Siphon coffee. It doesn't have any standout features, but leaves a lingering bitterness and astringency in the aftertaste. Equivalent to two cups of coffee. ◆Notes Self-service. Choosing the cake set makes it 150 yen cheaper. The cafe has a large glass window offering a view of grass and mountains, creating a high level of relaxation. There are both single and multiple seating options, with window seats allowing for privacy without being disturbed by others. Suitable for both large and small groups. A cafe to visit more for the ambiance than the food.

After a long time, I visited the 599CAFE at TAKAO 599 MUSEUM. "599" as you can guess, is the elevation of Mt. Takao at 599m. The opening hours are from 8:00 to 17:00 (April to November) with last entry at 16:30, and from 8:00 to 16:00 (December to March) with last entry at 15:30. Admission is free. I arrived just past 4 o'clock, close to closing time, so it was not crowded. It's a self-service cafe where you order at the counter. I recommend the Takao Coffee brewed with a siphon and the milk or soft-serve menu made with "Miruku no Ogonritsu" from Isonuma Farm. The Takao Coffee Blend (siphon) costs 550 yen and is brought to your table with a full cup equivalent to 1.5 servings, with a rich and deep flavor. If you're like me who tends to choose the larger option when staying at places like Suzume no Yado, then maybe just go for one cup of the Takao Coffee Blend (drip) for 400 yen. The Mt. Takao Parfait (matcha & red bean) costs 650 yen and is topped with delicious soft-serve made from Isonuma Farm's milk, with mostly cornflakes inside the glass. The soft-serve alone is 400 yen, and various sundaes are priced at 550 yen, with the addition of Kinoko no Yama chocolate sticks, red bean, and matcha sauce for 650 yen. Overall, enjoying a leisurely coffee amidst the greenery of the mountains is a great experience, and I have no complaints. Blog: https://orb0707.blogspot.com/2021/10/takao-599-museum-599cafe.html

I was surprised to see so many people at the entrance of Mount Takao, even though the autumn leaves hadn't started yet. I had planned to take the ropeway to buy some Tengu-yaki, but the crowds made me change my mind. Instead, I decided to have a parfait and head back. I knew about the 599 MUSEUM and the café there. The parfait was the kind with flakes lining the bottom, like the parfaits from the Showa era. Personally, I prefer parfaits with jelly or pudding at the bottom, rather than soaked flakes or sponge. I ended up skipping the flakes and just had the soft-serve ice cream part. The taste was decent considering the price.

Cafe located at the visitor center of Mt. Takao. I visited to take a break after hiking. The seats are spacious and the cafe has large windows, providing a sense of openness with a view of the outside. It might be nice to get a takeout and relax in the park in front of it.

[First Visit on October 5, 2019] Despite it being October, it was a hot summer day with temperatures exceeding 30℃. I visited Mt. Takao for the first time in a while. I woke up early, walked a lot, and sweated a lot. This facility is a space that introduces the nature of Mt. Takao, where you can learn about the insects and animals of Mt. Takao. With an increasing number of foreign tourists, I think such information spaces are greatly appreciated. I changed into a fresh shirt after sweating and enjoyed coffee and matcha parfait at the cafe. The bright sunlight pouring in made it a very relaxing space. The parfait was delicious, especially the milk ice cream.

In November 2018, at the foot of Mount Takao in Tokyo, I reflected on my overeating and drinking habits and decided to exercise on weekends. I hiked up to the pride of Tokyo, Mount Takao. It's amazing! There is even running water at the summit and toilets with washlets. This mountain is so convenient, I don't think there is anything like it in the world. After leisurely descending the mountain, I took a break at the "TAKAO 599 MUSEUM" at the base. I had the "Takao Coffee Blend ¥400" at the "Takao 599 Cafe" inside. The coffee I made with hot water at the summit was delicious, but the coffee I enjoyed after a safe descent was also a perfect cup. I relaxed and enjoyed a grateful moment while looking out at the spacious garden. Now, let's do our best next week!

Good evening. I am a beauty acupuncture therapist, Kozue. The other day, after visiting Mount Takao for a prayer, I had tea at Takao 599 Cafe located at the foot of the mountain in Takao 599 Museum. The number 599 represents the altitude of Mount Takao, and this number is used throughout the museum and cafe. The museum seemed quite new and very clean. The cafe is located in one corner of the museum. Since I wasn't very hungry, I ordered black tea and coffee. The black tea was from a German brand called Ronnefeldt, and I chose the Darjeeling Summer Gold blend. The coffee was a siphon blend, which is served in a siphon and equivalent to 1.5 cups of coffee. The black tea had a wonderful aroma and was very easy to drink. It came in a pot, so there were several cups worth. Darjeeling tea is delicious, isn't it? The coffee had a slight acidity but was easy to drink. Coffee served in a siphon has a different feel to it. Although I didn't order it this time, they also have light snacks like hot dogs and cakes. The view of the lush green grass from inside the museum was very nice. Thank you for the meal.
