A reliable red meat steak that is said to be delicious no matter who you bring. It's best to consult with the staff about their recommendations based on their mood that day. This time, we had two seasonal mountain vegetable dishes with the steak. The wine paired with it was a white with a strong mineral taste and a mysterious aftertaste even with a hint of saltiness. Here, you can also have a wonderful encounter with wine. Perfect for spending quality time with your loved ones.

Lost in the night of Osaka, I stumbled upon Bistro Deshnapan. I had made a reservation for a course meal and enjoyed a Vin Nature wine. From charcuterie to steak, everything I ate was delicious. It seems they have been in Osaka for 10 years, and I look forward to visiting this enjoyable restaurant again in the future.

"Bistro de Chnapan" [Bistro Steak French] First visit to "Bistro de Chnapan" Omi beef steak frit is a must at this bistro‼️ On this day, it was a soccer team gathering from high school, it's been 10 years already, time flies... The practice days were like hell, but we made good memories like participating in the national tournament and going to Tokyo. I ordered just this‼️ Each dish is voluminous, so be careful, one dish is generally enough for 2-3 people, so it's better to go with a few people♫ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー〜〜What I ordered〜〜*Assorted steak platter 500g*Anchette de Charcuterie*Horse meat tartare with plenty of cocktail sauce 200g*Spring mountain vegetables and firefly squid, scallops, and satsuma orange salad*Spicy veal tripe gratinPERONI 330ml bottlePERONI 330ml bottleWhite wineRed wineGrappaーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーFirst, cold appetizers, then warm appetizers, everything is delicious! The level of appetizers is high! Everything is delicious! And finally, the long-awaited main meat dish, a hearty presentation‼️ The cuts are ribeye and triangle, crispy on the outside and rare on the inside, with a delicious aroma. The ribeye was delicious! The triangle had even more marbling, a bit tough. The frying method removes excess fat, resulting in a crispy texture, some may like it. I ordered the assorted platter, but I would have preferred more marbled and leaner cuts if possible. (I should have mentioned it...) I was looking at the latest reviews and they also serve natural wine, I wanted to try it. Everything was delicious, so I might go back again❗️I want to try the natural wine too. Thank you for the meal♪

I was looking forward to this bistro visit after a long time. I had a Peroni beer first and then enjoyed plenty of red wine. Since the main dish was meat, I chose four appetizers before the meat. They were all delicious! I would like to try gratin or warm appetizers next time. I want to visit again soon!

Restaurant Name: Bistro Hyakumeiten
Ranking: Ranked 68th out of 100 in the Bistro Hyakumeiten 2021 nationwide selection on Tabelog
Overall Rating: 3.53
Date of Visit: Sunday, January 15, 2023, 11:30 AM
Reservation: Made online 2 days in advance
Order:
- Prefix course (3 dishes) x2, 3,000 yen each
- Amuse: Soup
- Appetizer: Country-style pate, cheese tart
- Main: New Zealand steak frites, pork belly petit sale
- Dessert: Chai ice cream, cocoa mousse
- Coffee or tea
Location: Conveniently located near the entrance of Zempukuji Park
Impression: Visited right after opening, got a nice window seat on the second floor with a good view. Chose the course with options for appetizer and main dishes. The amuse was a unique small soup. The portions from appetizer to dessert were generous and filling. However, the lack of French or Italian sauces typical in bistros left a bit to be desired in terms of flavor satisfaction. While the dishes had creativity, they felt somewhat unbalanced. Despite the substantial portions for the price, there was a lack of captivating elements in terms of taste.

On the first visit, I refrain from casually calling it a top-notch restaurant. However, after the second visit, I believe it can be considered a top-notch establishment. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong, but the classic beef dish is a must-try. The deliciousness, portion size, and cost-effectiveness are all aspects that everyone can appreciate. I recently discovered that the side dishes are also memorable in terms of taste. The charcuterie platter was delicious as usual, but the sautéed shirako was outstanding. It must be noted that the wine selection here is also excellent. It is best to consult with knowledgeable staff about your preferences and budget before deciding on a menu.

The meat was delicious~ I was looking forward to it, so I asked for a good fillet, and it was cooked just the way I like it, crispy on the outside! I couldn't finish it all because I was so full, but I have no regrets. The salad was good, and the 200g portion of meat was just right for me. I took my time enjoying the dessert afterwards, my stomach was completely satisfied!

Located about a 10-minute walk from Honmachi Station and a 3-minute walk from Awa-za Station, this bistro is a must-visit spot known for its Omi beef steak frites. The exterior of the restaurant clearly screams bistro vibes. The green asparagus mimosa salad costs 1650 yen, while the Piperade, scrambled eggs, and Bayonne raw ham costs 1980 yen. The lamb is priced at 2800 yen per 100g, with a minimum order of 200g. The assorted dessert plate costs 1540 yen. The appetizers are hearty, with each dish serving 2-3 people. We wanted to try the charcuterie as well, but even with just the appetizers, it was already quite a generous portion for two people. Both appetizers were delicious and satisfying. They paired well with the wine. The main meat dish had a firm texture with a lean taste. Even 200g was quite a substantial amount. We were completely satisfied after enjoying the dessert. The dishes at this restaurant pair well with wine, making it a great place to enjoy a drink. I would love to revisit this place.

Casual and cozy atmosphere at this restaurant. The dishes are simple yet delicious and come in generous portions. The menu is quite extensive, offering a fun selection, and it's surprising that all the dishes are prepared by just one chef. Despite the limited kitchen space, the variety of dishes is impressive. The staff is knowledgeable about wine, including natural wines, and the prices are reasonable!

I had been wanting to try this popular bistro near Sumiyoshi Park that I had on my wishlist on Tabelog for a while, and I finally went there for Christmas dinner. The Christmas dinner course was priced at a very reasonable 8500 yen. It included the famous selected Omi beef steak frites, so my expectations were high. For the appetizer, I added the foie gras terrine for an extra charge, and the foie gras flavor was incredibly rich and delicious. It was so rich that I felt like sandwiching it between bites of salad. The Omi beef steak frites, a specialty of the restaurant, offered a comparison of sirloin and fillet cuts. Both were crispy on the outside and juicy and tender inside when cooked, showcasing the deliciousness that this restaurant is known for. For dessert, I had raspberry ice cream with gateau chocolat and orange compote, all of which were delicious. Overall, it was a very worthwhile Christmas dinner experience.

Bistro de Schnapan is a bistro restaurant located a 10-12 minute walk from Abaza Station. It is known for its juicy steak cooked to perfection. In 2021, it was selected as one of the top 100 bistros in Japan. The prices are on the higher side, with a meal of steak, appetizer, and drink costing close to 6,000 yen per person, but it's worth it if you're looking for a hearty meal. We ordered the popular menu item, the ribeye steak, and the smoked salmon with seasonal vegetable marinade. The thickly cut, fatty smoked salmon marinated with a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness from the vegetables really stood out. The ribeye steak, fried to perfection, had a crispy exterior and juicy, flavorful meat inside, enhanced by the mustard. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a substantial meal around Jinyama Park, be sure to give this place a try. Bon appétit!

Originally, we were planning to go with four people, but two couldn't make it due to the state of emergency. In the end, only two of us went for lunch. It was a shame that we couldn't have wine due to the state of emergency, but we enjoyed very delicious dishes as always. My choices were the appetizer: bonito and vegetable tartare, and the main dish: minced Omi beef hamburger. Both were incredibly delicious. I had been wanting to try the minced hamburger for a while, and it did not disappoint. It was a very satisfying meal. When the state of emergency is lifted, I would like to visit again with a few more people. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the north side of Jin Park, this countryside French restaurant has a counter on the first floor and table seats on the second floor. They offer sparkling wine and wine in glasses. The menu is displayed on a large blackboard. I was hesitant about ordering the 400g hamburger due to its size, but I decided to try the steak platter, horse meat tartare, and oven-baked fish paste instead. The horse meat tartare was refreshing and delicious, a unique eating experience for me! The meat platter included rare cuts like triangle steak. Finally, the much-anticipated hamburger was huge as expected, but it was incredibly juicy and flavorful with a strong meaty taste. It was delicious!

Three sisters decided to go out for lunch because their Gurunavi points were about to expire. They chose a restaurant where they had a memorable meal before. They opted for the 2900 yen course which included a choice of appetizer and main course. They decided to order different dishes and share them. The soup was a creamy onion soup with a gentle flavor. For appetizers, they had country-style pate, marinated sardines and octopus, and salmon quiche. For the main course, they had pork shank stew, duck leg confit, and the famous cassoulet maison. The desserts were apple sorbet and caramel mousse. Although all the dishes were delicious, the heavy meat dishes made them feel a bit overwhelmed towards the end of the meal. They ended up leaving some food uneaten. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Bistro De Junapan is located in Nishi-ku, Kyomachi Hori 2-chome, just east of the intersection of Honmachi-dori and Amidaike-suji (Okazaki Bridge). It is the second street to the north after turning east on Kyomachi Hori 2. The restaurant is the second building on the right (north side of the Ume-Koen tennis court). We visited on a holiday evening with a reservation, along with three other groups. The first floor has a counter, and we were seated at a table on the second floor. We had reserved the Chef's Special Course and started with a toast of draft beer. The meal included a charcuterie platter, Lyon-style quenelle, half-sized Omi beef hamburger, signature steak slit, and dessert (strawberries, macarons, and ice cream). The background music was nostalgic French songs playing in real-time from a radio station. Despite not typically enjoying wine, I had a glass of white wine and a pleasant amount of brandy that evening. It was a delightful dining experience.

Today, I decided to have lunch at this bistro that I've been curious about for a while. It's an area I don't usually visit, but there are many interesting shops as I walk around. There was even a curry shop with a long line. I was seated at a table on the second floor, as the counter seats on the first floor were full. The lunch course (2,900 yen) was my choice for today. Here is what the course included:
- Amuse-bouche: Turnip potage with just the right amount of salt, comforting and rich in flavor. You can really taste the turnip in each sip.
- Choice of appetizer: Salmon quiche with fresh salmon inside, a generous portion. The pastry was soft and delicious.
- Choice of main course: Duck leg confit, a surprising bone-in duck leg that was flavorful and tender. It had a crispy outer layer and a soft inside. I enjoyed it with mustard.
- Dessert: Chai ice cream and prune far Breton. The chai ice cream was sweet but refreshing, while the far Breton is a traditional dessert from Brittany with a chewy texture.
- Coffee or tea: I chose milk tea.
The appetizer and main course were both satisfying and filling. The bread had a crispy texture and was delicious. I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

This is my first visit. It's a quaint bistro with a lot of character. The restaurant is two stories high, and I was seated at a table on the second floor after climbing the interior staircase. The place is cozy and the dishes are quite flavorful. Being a bistro, I believe the seasoning is tailored to complement the drinks. Nevertheless, the food is delicious. The portions are generous, so I think the cost-performance ratio is high. The bread was served cold with a noticeable tangy flavor, but it was a taste that grows on you. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, truly embodying the spirit of Osaka.

This was my first visit to a restaurant featured in Bib Gourmand. It's located very close to the tennis courts of Utsubo Park. I was seated at a table on the second floor and chose the 2900 yen lunch course, which included a choice of appetizer and main dish. The beef red wine stew with mashed potatoes was delicious without a doubt. The quiche Lorraine for the appetizer was also consistently tasty. The speed at which the dishes were served was on the slower side, so we chatted from 11:30 until after 2 pm.

On Sunday, I went for lunch at a stylish restaurant with a nice interior. It was not crowded. The first floor had only a counter, while the second floor had seating as well. The staff were lovely and greeted me with smiles. I chose the lunch course which included:
- Tomato Potage Soup: A refreshing cold soup with a tangy flavor. It was delicious.
- Quiche Lorraine: A tart with a pie crust filled with a soft, custard-like mixture. I could taste the eggs, and the seasoning was perfect. It was so filling that I was already full after this.
- Roasted Duck Breast: The cooking was just right, and the lean meat was tender. Personally, I would have preferred a bit more salt. The portion was too big, and I couldn't finish it.
- Coconut Panna Cotta: A light and tasty dessert. If the portion was a bit smaller, I might have enjoyed it till the end. If I visit again, I would like to try the hamburger lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to try Bistro Kinoshita near the park, thinking it might be similar to Gushite, but the staff explained that while Gushite is Italian, this place serves French cuisine. They recommended trying the famous steak for comparison. I ordered the steak platter as an appetizer, which had a variety of meats. It was a bit too meat-heavy for my liking, and I slightly regretted my choice. However, after trying it, I found that the different cuts of meat were cooked well and tasted delicious. The steak itself was also cooked to perfection, although slightly on the greasy side.
