I visited for lunch. They offer regular bento boxes and a buffet service. On Sundays, they have a curry buffet, where you can choose between the curry buffet and a regular bento box (adult or child size) for around 1,000 yen, which is very reasonable. There were 6 types of curry available. I chose the school lunch curry and the regular curry. It was very delicious despite being affordable. I enjoyed it at Wakasu Park. I would like to visit again next time.

After reading reviews from Mairebi, I visited this place for the first time. The bento buffet starts from 350 yen and you can fill your container as much as you want. They are also very conscious about infection prevention measures, with notices and disinfectant provided at the entrance along with vinyl gloves. The maximum number of customers allowed inside is 6, and everyone seems to be aware of the guidelines. Inside, there are about 50 varieties of dishes displayed on a large table. Unlike typical places, this shop offers more side dishes rather than just fried food. You can choose between 350 yen and 500 yen containers, but I found it hard to estimate the right amount and ended up with a container that wasn't filled to the brim. However, when I transferred the dishes to a big plate, I realized the portion was actually more than enough. I hope this kind of shop continues to thrive. The taste was decently good. If this place was near me when I was younger, I would have been a regular customer. The menu included fried sardines, mackerel tempura, spring rolls, fried squid, asparagus tempura, taro sprout tempura, meatballs in cream sauce, burdock root salad, spinach in broth, sautéed kinpira burdock, mushroom stir-fry, mini tomatoes, glazed carrots, simmered bamboo shoots, hijiki seaweed, and pickled daikon radish.

There is a traditional shop in the shopping street where a variety of dishes from fried foods to side dishes are lined up near the entrance. Takeout is available for 350 yen, and you can fill your bento box until the lid closes! It's quite cost-effective. The way you pack it is important, and skilled people can pack a considerable amount. The taste is also quite good.

The owner of a noodle factory runs a restaurant as a hobby, which has become a popular spot for its unique offerings. It serves buffet bento boxes for 300 or 500 yen, doubles as an eat-in diner, and also functions as a side dish izakaya. The process is simple: customers fill their containers with rice and various dishes of their choice, then pay at the register. The variety of side dishes rivals that of a hotel buffet, with 40-50 options available. The focus is not just on taste, but also on the efficiency and speed of service. The female manager handles all cooking and serving tasks single-handedly, impressively preparing a wide range of dishes before the store opens at 11:00. She decides the menu based on the owner's purchases and inventory, demonstrating remarkable skill in transforming ingredients into dishes. Customers can fill their containers to the brim for a low price, making it a unique and unbeatable dining experience. This restaurant's commitment to reducing food waste and community service sets it apart from others in the industry.

End of October, Friday afternoon, the end of the month is approaching. Tomorrow is the 31st, so it's the time when Halloween is getting lively. However, due to the hated coronavirus, the excitement is lacking. In my town, Kawasaki, known for its Halloween parade, this year's parade has been canceled. It seems that it has turned into online costume instead. It's a shame if you're going to dress up, you want to be seen by others. What a waste (crying). Today's [Pitopito Seijin] [Ichigou] is working in Koto-ku. Even though it's a happy Friday, there is another pleasure waiting. That is lunch at a bento shop, which seems to be fun. While watching TV while drinking after work yesterday, a common news segment featured a bento shop in Koto-ku. It seems that they offer a buffet-style where you can pack as much as you want for 300 yen. I thought it was a fun bento shop, so I created a job in Koto-ku. Creating work depends on your own skills, muttering to himself, [Ichigou] heads to "Ajino Shirou" Let's go! "It's a nostalgic pain~, something I forgot a long time ago~" Under the clear autumn sky, [Ichigou] sings Seiko Matsuda's "Sweet Memories". Let's stop singing up to the second verse, as the English lyrics continue (laughs) ★ Store interior ★ The store is located in the middle of Suehiro Shopping Street in Higashi Suna, Koto-ku. The nearest station is Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, but it takes more than 20 minutes on foot. Therefore, I strongly recommend visiting by car. There are nearly 50 kinds of side dishes lined up on the table in the store. The most popular is the "fried chicken", which was featured on TV. They serve freshly fried chicken, but it disappears at an amazing speed. But there's no need to worry. If you wait a bit, freshly fried chicken will come again. There are two sizes of bento boxes. The small size of 23-17 is 300 yen, and the large size of 24-20 is 500 yen, as long as the lid closes, it's okay. Even if you try hard to pack a lot, it's strictly forbidden to leave leftovers, it's rude to the store! There is an eat-in space in the store. It's small, so please use it considerately. Please throw away your trash by yourself. ★ Parking situation ★ There is no store parking lot. Parking in front of the store is prohibited. Please use a nearby coin parking lot. ★ Today's order ★ "500 yen bento" I packed a variety of items, but the "fried chicken" is a must. The "grilled salmon" is not the common salmon, so the flesh is firm. Also, the "hamburger" and "stir-fried garlic sprouts" are also delicious! ★ Consumption tax situation ★ Tax included, all-inclusive. ★ Today's supplement ★ The staff are women, and they have a nice attitude. They also press the bento lid tightly (happy). In this day and age, this store offers a variety of side dishes at a low price. It's a good store. If you live nearby, it's a definite repeat. You can eat different side dishes every day, envy those who live nearby! The day after it was featured on TV Tokyo's "Takeshi's The Way of Japan", it was very crowded. It seems that it will be featured more on TV, radio, etc. Going now might be a good idea! Thank you for the meal! I'll visit again! Even though I ate so much, it's only 500 yen, so it's a great deal. Next time, I decided to have a cup of miso soup to help a little, [Ichigou] decided. Pitopito, Pitopito.

"The shop in the 'Sand Town' from the theater quest 'Metropolis Treasure'! The motsu stew and small side dish set are delicious. Didn't have 'rice' this day, but definitely want to try it next time."

I saw it on TV and since it's my local area, I decided to try it out. They have a limited quantity of each dish, but they refill it quickly when it runs out. The variety of dishes is abundant, although the menu doesn't change much. The atmosphere is like home-cooked meals and the flavors are gentle. There are many fried dishes, but they also serve simmered dishes and tofu hamburg steak. It caters to people of all ages and genders. The tofu hamburg steak and "Nanban-zuke" (fried fish marinated in vinegar) are delicious.

I visited "Shigotoya" in the Suwaro Shotengai in Higashi Suna, about a 20-30 minute walk from Ojima Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line. The shop has about 30 table seats and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I arrived around 13:30 and the place was about 60% full, mostly with people enjoying daytime drinking. "Shigotoya" specializes in selling freshly made soba and udon noodles, as well as a variety of other products like rice. They also have a recreational room downstairs where you can enjoy karaoke and table tennis. I ordered the kakiage soba for 370 yen, which was served in about 6-7 minutes. The kakiage was large and the soba was delicious and nicely chilled. Considering the price, the quality was excellent. They also offer a good selection of appetizers, so I look forward to returning for a daytime drinking session next time. Thank you for the meal.

Located halfway between Minamisuna-cho and Higashi-Ojima, near the Arakawa embankment on Kiyosu Bridge Street, about 300 meters down the Suehiro Street, is a shop with a sign that says "Shigotoya." Previously, it was a workwear shop, but now it has transformed into a soba, izakaya, and bento shop. Inside the shop, there are three counter seats, three tables for four, one table for two, and about five to six drum cans serving as tables. There is a lively female staff member with a brisk attitude. During lunchtime, they serve soba, udon, rice bowls, curry, and more. You can add a tempura skewer for 100 yen to your kakesoba (250 yen). You order and pay at the beginning, it's self-service, so you carry your food and return your dishes yourself. The tempura skewers are fried outside the shop in a fryer, which is quite innovative. The soba itself is like eating standing up, but it includes wakame seaweed, fish cake, tempura bits, and green onions. The tempura skewers are made with onion and sausage, freshly fried and delicious. They also have an izakaya menu, with all drinks priced at 300 yen and all food at 200 yen. In addition to soba, the drinks and snacks are cheap, making it a great place for a Senbero (cheap drinking and eating). I tried the "tanuki inari" (200 yen) from the snacks menu, which is fried tofu stuffed with tanuki soba. It was a bit bland and lacked a punch in flavor. The shop is a direct-operated store of a noodle factory in Chiba, which produces and sells "Shogenji Soba," originally from Toyama. At the entrance of the shop, they offer free leftover soba and udon from the factory. The quantity is generous, and they even encouraged me to take as much as I wanted, but I settled for one bag. The best part is the extremely affordable prices. Regardless of the taste, it's a place where you can enjoy both lunch and dinner.

I saw this place on TV before and always wanted to go. On TV, they said as long as the lid closes, it's fine. But in reality, there are restrictions on the number of items and the price is determined by weight. They said the lid had to close, but when I tried to close it, it wouldn't. They still let me buy it this time, but said it's not allowed next time. It's just a normal bento shop. If it goes over a few grams, they charge an extra hundred yen. I just added a little more food, but it was disappointing.

The other day, I visited a nearby bento shop where you can fill your bento box with a variety of side dishes, all for just 350 yen. You receive the bento box at the entrance and then you can fill it up yourself, but rice is required. It's not allowed to fill up the box with just side dishes, rice is a must. If the lid doesn't close, there is an additional charge of 100 yen, so be careful not to overfill. Even with 1/10 of the space left, there was still room for more. The portion size might be hard to see in the photo, but it's enough for a hungry guy to eat. There are two sizes available, 350 yen and 550 yen, so for big eaters, I recommend the 550 yen one. As for the taste, it was quite delicious. Most of the dishes were homemade and not like frozen foods from a supermarket, except for maybe the rolled omelette. The only downside is that with so many different side dishes, the flavors can get mixed up. The threshold for filling up the box is quite low. Therefore, it's wise to choose a few favorite side dishes carefully.

The variety of carefully prepared side dishes, not just fried foods, make the rice delicious! I should have visited earlier. The large bento box is 550 yen and comes with a lot of food. The soba noodles are 330 yen and the inari sushi is 220 yen. Three ripe tomatoes for 100 yen - they will be perfect for tomorrow. Looking forward to it. For lunch, the soba noodles are from the noodle factory. They are mixed with sesame oil, rolled up, and served with wasabi and scallions - delicious! The inari sushi has a hint of chopped pickled plum, which adds a gentle acidity to the sushi rice. For dinner, the bento box is packed just right, not too tight, and the lid closes easily. Everything is delicious, but my top picks are the garlic pilaf, dried tofu, white rice with bonito flakes, pickled bamboo shoots, mushroom stew, shirataki noodles in spicy sauce, tempura taro sprouts, Korean pancake, red tempura, rice paper spring rolls, dried shiitake tempura, salt-grilled salmon, double fried chicken, squid ring tempura, dumplings, ham and potato salad sandwich, and okra salad. Thank you for the feast. I will definitely come back next time when I work from home on weekdays.
