☆彡I love dumplings and enjoy visiting various shops to try them out. Asking the shop owner for recommendations is also one of the pleasures for me, as I often get valuable information from them. The rumor was that "Kodotei" is a branch shop established by relatives, and the main branch is located in Daito City. I had been curious about this place after hearing about it, so I made a reservation with my dumpling-loving friends and visited the restaurant. The exterior of the restaurant looked like a house in a residential area, and it was indeed located in a quiet residential area. Despite its location, the shop was always busy with reservation calls and takeout customers. The dumplings here are on the smaller side, with each serving containing 8 pieces. I planned to order 4 servings for the four of us, but it seemed that they could only cook 2 servings at a time due to the reservation system, so we decided to share 4 servings between us and order twice. Menu: - Dumplings (1 serving of 8 pieces for 300 yen, 2 plates of 4 servings each) - Bottle of beer (600 yen for a medium-sized bottle) From the counter seats, we couldn't see the dumplings being cooked, but we could hear the sound of water evaporating and imagined the high heat of the thick iron plate where they were being cooked. Our appetites were at max level. The dumpling skins were soft from the steam, and the umami flavor had emulsified, creating a harmonious blend with the filling. Despite their easy-to-eat size, the fillings were packed full, providing a satisfying bite with a direct link to the umami flavor. The piping hot dumplings were so delicious that once we started eating, we couldn't stop. Despite the recent price increases, the shop has maintained its price of 300 yen for 8 dumplings per serving (tax included). As mentioned earlier, the fillings are generously packed, making it a truly honest shop. The current owner is the daughter of the previous owner, and she handles everything from preparing the filling to wrapping and cooking the dumplings by herself. Therefore, reservations are required for both dining in and takeout. Thank you for reading until the end. Your likes, saves, and follows are encouraging for me. If you like, please give me a click. I also have an Instagram account @ginjirou.star, so feel free to check it out! ===========

I got curious when I saw the word "Gyoza" on my way back home, so I stopped by this place. It turned out to be a gyoza specialty shop. They didn't serve rice, but I ordered 3 servings of gyoza. The atmosphere felt nice, and the gyoza that arrived after about 10 minutes was beautifully cooked. The crispy outside and soft skin with a delicate texture, filled with plenty of garlic but not overpowering. Each bite made me think, "This is delicious." I later found out it's a famous shop, and I was lucky to have stumbled upon it. I'll definitely visit again. Thank you for the memorable meal. Tonight's dinner: 3 servings of gyoza - 900 yen Parking fee - 200 yen.

The place visited was located about a 15-minute walk from Suminodo Station, standing alone on a side street. It seems that they used to supply to Marumasa and a place with the same name famous for salt ramen in Nihonbashi. The menu consists only of gyoza, with 3 servings of gyoza, a bottle of beer, and a rice dish costing 1,400 yen. The gyoza had a crispy surface and a slightly chewy texture. The filling had a simple, light taste, making it easy to eat and delicious. It felt like it was lacking a bit of a punch, but the gyoza itself was satisfying. If it was just this one place, you could easily eat about 5 servings.

Gyoza specialty shop located about an 18-minute walk from JR Suminodo Station. While Suminodo is known for Marusho Gyoza, this place is also said to be delicious so it was my first visit. They are only open from 4:00 pm onwards, which makes it a bit difficult to visit during the day. I visited on a Sunday evening with no customers before or after me. The interior has only a counter. I ordered the pan-fried gyoza for 300 yen and oolong tea for 300 yen. The oolong tea came in a 500ml bottle with a glass filled with ice. The pan-fried gyoza was small in size, similar to the ones at Tempai in Kitashinchi. One serving is eight pieces, with a crispy and thin skin on the outside and a chewy texture on the inside. Though the location is tough, the gyoza was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today's gyoza in Daito City! When you think of Daito City, Marusei Gyoza comes to mind, which is also a long-established gyoza shop. They used to supply gyoza to Ko Do Ten in Nihonbashi, so there may have been a connection with Hanazono in the distant past. Also, they mentioned having relatives in Kagoshima! The Ko Do Ten in Kanto seems to be unrelated. The gyoza here is 600 yen for 2 servings, small and with thin skin, but delicious with a strong garlic and ginger flavor. It was really delicious! They don't have raw gyoza, which is a bit disappointing, but you can also take out their fried gyoza. They only serve gyoza, which is quite straightforward. Thank you for the meal! Small Do Ten, 072-875-4114, 1-3 Nitta Higashimachi, Daito City, Osaka Prefecture.

Before heading out to have a blast, I stopped by a dumpling specialty shop called "Kohoten" in Daito. It seems like Daito City has quite a few dumpling specialty shops like "Marusei" and "Toshiya". It's a fierce battleground in a not-so-big city. Leaving that aside, this was my first visit here. They only serve pan-fried dumplings, which is quite hardcore. The price is reasonable at 300 yen for 8 pieces per person... I ordered 4 servings. Personally, I like the type of dumplings that are bite-sized with thin skin, which seems to be a characteristic of dumplings in Daito City. The skin is chewy and quite delicious. The filling has a lot of vegetables and you can taste the ginger flavor. However, the garlic flavor is not strong, so it's on the milder side. You can eat as many as you want. Personally, I would like them to add some garlic-flavored ones to the menu as well.

There are many hidden gem restaurants in Suminoe, Osaka. One of them is the original store where many other branches have been opened. The previous owner, who passed down the skills, even taught Marumasa how to make dumplings. They offer a menu of one serving of dumplings for 300 yen, which consists of only cabbage and pork mince. It is simple yet delicious.

【Daito City】Delicious with thin skin! Local gyoza specialty store ~ "Kodoten" This day, I had some errands to run at my parents' house in the evening, and my father invited me to have dinner together. However, I was worried about the coronavirus, so I decided to get takeout as a gift! I remembered that Mairevi often mentions reviews of local places in Daito City, and one gyoza specialty store called "Kodoten Sumimichi" caught my attention. It's close to my parents' house, and I didn't even notice it when passing by... (^_^;) Kodoten has been a long-established store for over 30 years. I contacted them in advance to reserve gyoza and pick-up time, and a very friendly landlady came out to greet me! I prepared a thermal bag and arrived at the store at the scheduled time. When I entered the store, I was welcomed by a bright landlady in a small shop with a few counter seats. Looking at the menu on the wall, it only had gyoza and drinks. It's really a gyoza specialty store! When I told her my name, she had just started preparing the gyoza. The landlady said, "Just wait a bit! I wish you could eat at the counter if it weren't for the coronavirus, sorry about that." "No worries at all," I replied, and we chatted casually while eagerly waiting for the delicious gyoza to be cooked! The smell of the deliciously cooked gyoza was irresistible! The small, golden-brown gyoza looked so delicious! ○ Three servings for my parents' house ○ Six servings for my home I packed them in a thermal bag while they were still warm, and moved to my parents' house to enjoy the gyoza together. I tried a bite with a slightly sour vinegar soy sauce. The gyoza with thin skin and fluffy filling is delicious! Unlike the oily gyoza from a chain restaurant, these are light and easy to eat with the vinegar soy sauce, so you can easily eat as many as you want! I can't believe there's such a delicious gyoza specialty store nearby!! I would love to go to the store and eat freshly cooked gyoza once the coronavirus situation settles down! Thank you for the meal! (*^-゜)vThanks!

I wanted to eat gyoza! It's at Kawachiya~ Lately, I've been feeling almost broken-hearted by the gyoza reviews from Myrebi-san and others, but today I finally ate it. And it was my first visit to a gyoza specialty shop. I've known about this shop for a long time, since my university days. It's been over 35 years. I knew about it, but it was my first visit. The reason is that for Kawachiya, gyoza is not just a side dish for rice. I have known the owner of Marumasa for a long time, so I used to go there often. But I didn't really go to gyoza specialty shops. Especially since the nearby "Tenka" closed down, I haven't eaten at gyoza specialty shops at all. It became a part of Chinese cuisine in my mind. My days of living alone will soon be over. Due to the rebellion in the livestock world, my planned "mischief" was not possible. I wanted to decorate the last time in a grand way. I made a reservation over the phone. I'll say it again. Gyoza is not just a side dish for rice. I ordered with that intention. The reservation time was 6:00 p.m. I want to eat it hot and freshly baked, so I'm going in the silver Suzuki Wasp instead of the car. I put the insulated bag in the tail box and head out. This tail box is a large capacity excellent product. It's my first visit, so I'm a little nervous. But the staff at the restaurant (a woman) is extremely friendly. They treat me like a regular customer who has been there many times. And the gyoza is ready at 6:00 p.m. I quickly put the hot gyoza in the insulated bag in the tail box and head home. I arrived home at 6:10 p.m. After disinfecting and washing hands, I start eating at 6:15 p.m. The first bite is at 6:15 p.m. It's hot! I eat while breathing heavily. It was introduced as light in the reviews, and it really is. The size is similar to Marumasa's. The sear marks are firm, making it easy to eat. You can eat as much as you want. Despite saying I wanted to be grand, Kawachiya is a coward with non-alcoholic beer. But for my first visit, I was very satisfied.

I want to defeat the new coronavirus! But I want to defeat it... Please, let me defeat it. With all my might, I am supporting local restaurants through takeout! I recently tried out a gyoza restaurant called "Kodoten" that has been in business for over 30 years in my local area. I called in advance to confirm their operating status, and they informed me that they were only offering takeout services due to the state of emergency. I placed an order for 6 servings of gyoza over the phone and specified the desired pickup time. As I rode my bike to pick up the order, I noticed that the parking lot of the nearby video rental store was full. It seems like everyone is making an effort to "stay home." When I arrived, I found a small and clean restaurant with only 6 counter seats. A friendly and welcoming woman was there to assist me. The takeout order included: - Gyoza (6 servings): ¥300 each The gyoza, slightly smaller in size, had a nice golden brown color and a juicy and refreshing taste with a hint of spiciness. The slightly thick skin paired well with the filling, making it enjoyable. It was a satisfying meal, and I look forward to returning in the future. I hope that the situation with the new coronavirus improves soon. Don't give in to the virus, local restaurants, and all food establishments!

Local dumpling specialty shop. The menu consists of dumplings and beer only. It would be nice to have rice as well. The dumplings are mainly vegetable-based and light. They are small in size, so you can eat as many as you want. On this day, I had 4 servings for one person. It seems that they also offer shipping to other regions.

I used to visit the small restaurant Namba no Kodote-san and was moved by the curtain, so I decided to go in. The food was quite light but very delicious, and I finished three servings without hesitation. Since it's close by, I would like to visit again. The owner was also a very friendly and nice person.

I visited a long-established restaurant that has been in business for 33 years, soon to be 34 years. The friendly female staff made me feel welcome. It was a day when an earthquake had occurred, so there were no other customers in the restaurant. The price for one serving was 300 yen. I ordered two servings and did not order any drinks. They served ice-cold water with a smile, which was a great service! The sound of dumplings sizzling on the iron plate in the back could be heard. There was a TV, so I didn't feel bored. The dumplings were small and seemed similar to Maru-Masa's dumplings. They had a nice crispy texture, a light flavor, and would go well with alcohol. Of course, they paired perfectly with the ice-cold water. I found the dumplings light and delicious, making me want to come back for more.

Personally, my favorite dumpling restaurant is "Kodotei". The friendly husband and wife owners run this small, cozy restaurant with only counter seats. They wrap and cook the dumplings right in front of you. The dumplings are small with thin skin and cost 300 yen for a plate of two. They are juicy and crispy, a bit lighter than the famous "Maru" dumplings in the area. The price is a bit high, but it's worth it. Thank you for the delicious meal!

A small restaurant with about 8 seats located about a 15-minute walk from JR Sumidou Station. It's a quiet place away from the station, so only locals go there, making it a great spot to relax and eat gyoza while watching TV. I often go there on my days off! The gyoza has thin skins and is on the smaller side, so when you order three servings at once, the friendly lady there always crisps them up nicely for you. The price is also reasonable at 300 yen for 8 pieces. Small Dongtian is open from 5 pm, and they only serve gyoza, so it's the perfect place to go when you're craving gyoza. With the weather getting warmer, gyoza and beer make a great combination!

Osaka is in a really tough situation due to the pandemic, and it's been hard to feel refreshed these days. During Golden Week, I continued my stay-at-home life and felt like I wanted to eat something delicious to change my mood. So, I decided to use takeout from a local dumpling specialty shop called "Kodotei" for the first time in about a year. When I called in the evening on the day of, a friendly woman took my order. Me: "I'd like to order 4 servings for takeout. I'll be there in about 30 minutes." Woman: "Thank you. We'll have them ready for you around that time." Even over the phone, her smile came through, which was nice. When I arrived at the reserved time, there was a partition set up between the counter and the kitchen, which wasn't there during my last visit. And once again, a friendly and cheerful woman was managing everything on her own. [Takeout contents] (Prices include tax) - Dumplings: 300 yen per serving x 4 servings (Orders start from 2 servings per person. The box for takeout is free) For dinner, these dumplings served as the main dish along with other side dishes and soup. For my husband and me, we've learned that 2 servings per person is the right amount since our last visit. The dumplings are slightly small with a nice golden brown color. They have a refreshing taste with a hint of ginger and a spicy kick, even though the garlic isn't overpowering. The slightly chewy skin complements the filling well, and they're just delicious! As Toru Matsumoto also mentioned on his show "Gacchuu, Osaka" (FM CoCoLo), "When making dumplings, don't use garlic, use ginger instead." Thank you for the great food. I hope they continue to thrive in the local area for a long time!
