"Hayauchi" in Tennoji-ku, Osaka City. Located 4 minutes south from exit 4 of Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line. Visited around 12:40 on a weekday. The interior of the restaurant is a traditional Japanese soba shop, with a focus on soba noodles. There are 6 counter seats and 4 tables for 2. Ordered the "Thin Soba Noodles" and the "Coarse Country Style Soba" (1350 yen including tax). The Thin Soba Noodles had a smooth texture, aroma, sweetness, and slightly firm texture that paired well with the rich and elegant soba broth. When finishing the Thin Soba Noodles, the Coarse Country Style Soba (80% buckwheat) arrived, which was incredibly delicious! The unique texture and flavor of the coarse ground soba, combined with the soba broth, green onions, and wasabi, created a very tasty dish. The addition of soba water at the end made it thick and delicious until the last bite. The service from the staff was also excellent, making it a highly satisfying lunch. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

There is a soba restaurant near Shitennō-ji Temple. It's always crowded, so I decided to go before it opened. I wrote down my name and waited in line. When I arrived around 11:15, there were already 6 groups ahead of me. It's truly a popular soba restaurant. I ordered the mixed soba with tempura, and it was delicious. Both the soba and tempura were tasty.

When I went to Shitennoji Temple for some business, I saw this restaurant on the way to the station and decided to give it a try. There was a line of customers outside the shop, so I wrote my name down and waited for a bit. I ordered the sudachi soba and my daughter ordered the tororo soba along with a side of homemade tofu. The soba noodles were thin but still had a firm texture and were delicious. The tororo was sticky and had a nice texture. The homemade tofu was soft and flavorful, different from the typical tofu you find elsewhere. It was so good that I wanted to have seconds! The restaurant is not very spacious, so there is always a line, but the turnover is quick because of the soba noodles. The service is casual but friendly. I would definitely want to go back to this soba restaurant if I'm in the area again.

The soba was delicious, but in terms of cost performance... I wish they had a lunch set menu at least. It was a small restaurant with many staff (part-timers?), which made it a bit chaotic. The Nanban was tasty, but the tempura was a bit lacking in portion for the price. However, I might visit again during the memorial service at Shitennoji Temple. Gotsu-o-san!!

Lunch today was cold soba noodles, still delicious soba noodles. I arrived around 2pm and the restaurant was almost full, with the counter seats all taken. Luckily, I was able to find a table. Last time I also had good luck finding a table, and I enjoyed the cold soba noodles with sudachi citrus. I want to come back during the remaining hot days to eat again! It was delicious~ I also like the cozy atmosphere of the wooden interior of the restaurant. The staff were friendly too. ⭕️

Just by looking at it, you feel cooler. A refreshing sudachi soba with a lot of citrus flavor, available only in the summer to fall season. The clear broth combined with vinegar and the spicy daikon radish topping is incredibly delicious. The generous portion of toppings is also amazing. Not only the regular menu soba, but I recommend having this refreshing soba during this scorching hot season to cool off. The sister restaurant, Soba Kiri Ogura, is also located in Nihonbashi, but it is equally delicious and reasonably priced, so be sure to check it out.

I like the calming atmosphere of the soba restaurant at Shitennō-ji for lunch. The seasonal soba dish "Hiyakake Sudachi Soba" (thinly sliced) costs 1,200 yen, and the "Futomaki" (half portion) costs 575 yen. The chilled soba in a cold dish with a refreshing vinegar and sudachi citrus flavor is delicious. The seasoned rolled sushi complements the soba well. The cold broth with the sudachi citrus flavor is tasty on its own, but adding grated daikon radish at the end adds an extra kick. Finishing with soba-yu (hot water used to rinse the soba bowl) completes the meal. They start taking reservations about 30 minutes before opening, making it easier to plan your visit. Enjoy! Visited Hayauchi, a soba restaurant located near Shitennoji Yuhigaoka Station on the Osaka Metro Tanmachi Line for the first time. The area around Shitennoji Temple is known for having many great restaurants. Right next to Hayauchi, there is a popular spice curry restaurant called Niji no Hoto, and I even found an eel restaurant. This is a must-visit. Hayauchi offers a wide variety of soba appetizers, almost like a izakaya level of selection. Some may argue whether this is the correct positioning for soba appetizers, and some may prefer to have soba as the last dish after a more refined selection of appetizers. The restaurant may attract those who enjoy discussing and critiquing soba restaurants. For example, at Matsushita in Nakazakicho, it is undeniably a soba appetizer, the epitome of a restaurant where you should have a drink first, while at Matsumoto in Kyoto, quality might be more important than the traditional soba appetizer style. Regardless, the key point should be the quality of the soba. The restaurant is open for a drink from lunchtime, making it suitable for various occasions. The main soba dishes offered are thin-ground soba and coarse-ground country-style soba, each priced at 900 yen for one serving or 1350 yen for two servings. You can also order one serving of each type. I ordered both varieties. The coarse-ground soba has a distinct flavor, which may resonate with those from Toyama. However, it may not have the typical Toyama flavor, but it embodies the soba that the owner of Hayauchi wants to serve in a natural way. I personally recommend the coarse-ground soba. The soba broth is not particularly Toyama-like, but it has its own unique flavor that I enjoyed. The wasabi and white onions served were delicious as well. In conclusion, Hayauchi offers a comforting and satisfying soba experience, showcasing the owner's desire to serve genuine soba. While it may not be delicate or refined, it provides a reliable and fulfilling meal. Two servings will leave you feeling quite full. This is just my personal experience and opinion, so please take it as a reference. Enjoy your meal!

June 2023 - Memoir - Left "Kiraku" and headed south. I remember there was a famous bakery along Kamimachi Street. Without researching in detail, I walked quite a bit to the storefront. Shutter closed... Maybe it's the wrong place... Oh no! It's closed on regular holidays. It's frustrating to give up now. I decided to walk a little further south and returned to Tanimachi Street to visit "Soba Cuisine Hayauchi" for the first time. I'm going to compare soba dishes! Arrived at the store around 1 pm. I filled out the waiting sheet. There are 5 groups waiting, but I'll wait as long as it takes. Even a family on an Asian trip is waiting. It's a popular restaurant. I got seated in 30 minutes. Since I'm alone, I sat at the end of the counter. I ordered cold soba, one with finely ground noodles and one with coarse ground noodles. It seems like a good deal to order them separately. - Fine ground noodles 1 serving - Coarse ground noodles 1 serving Total: 1,350 yen including tax. Shortly after, the finely ground noodles arrived in front of me. It looked delicious. The noodles were firm with a great texture. After finishing, a serving of coarse ground noodles was brought to me. I ate it without any condiments, just 2-3 strands at a time. Unfortunately, I couldn't distinguish the difference between the two types of soba. Both had excellent texture. It was a great meal at a reasonable price. I recommend ordering two servings. Thank you for the meal. The restaurant was full, so I took photos quickly as the atmosphere wasn't suitable for taking them leisurely.

The restaurant is located about 5 minutes from Shitennoji Yuhigaoka Station, and the atmosphere is amazing! This time, I had the tempura soba with grated yam topping. The quality of the soba is top-notch. I have been to many soba restaurants, but this one is one of the best. It's even Michelin-rated. Everyone was buying sushi as souvenirs, which caught my attention! I definitely want to go back! I'm also interested in trying the hand-made soba experience!

Soba restaurant with a traditional atmosphere - the soba broth is Kanto-style, I think? I finished my errands in the direction of Yuyake Hill and decided to stop by since it was just past noon. As I was alone on a weekday, I had to wait a bit before I could enter. The temperature was rising and the weather was getting humid, so I decided to have duck soup soba. The soba noodles were thin and had a refreshing texture, and I started by dipping them in just wasabi, which was delicious. The duck soup had a sweet broth with duck meat, green onions, and small pieces of mochi, which was very tasty. After finishing it all in one go, I relaxed with some soba-yu, which I love. Thank you for the meal. It's located right near Yuyake Hill subway station, and you can walk there in about 10 minutes from Tennoji. It's a Michelin-starred restaurant, but it's a very nice place without any pretentiousness. Even overseas customers seemed to be enjoying their meals. I'm sure the sake and side dishes in the evening are also excellent. I'll definitely go back when they have my favorite sudachi soba.

I visited Hayauti-san's restaurant again. It's almost always fully booked with reservations, so customers who come without a reservation may not be able to get a seat. Luckily, I had made a reservation this time. I ended up ordering too much food this time, and having the soba in a large portion ended up being a bit much later on (laughs). It was my own fault. I asked for the chef's choice of sake, and once again, I enjoyed delicious sake. Thank you, chef. When you order a large portion of soba, they bring it out in stages, timing it for when you've finished one and a half sheets. Thank you for the meal.

A couple got off at Shitennoji on the Tanimachi Line and headed straight to "Hayauti". They waited inside and sat at the counter. They enjoyed the aroma of duck soup soba, which was rich and glossy. The soba noodles were smooth and went down the throat easily, with a rich and delicious taste. The soba broth was thick and they wanted to keep drinking it. The staff (part-timer?) were young, efficient, friendly, and the taste and service were refreshing. It was a delightful restaurant experience.

I visited this restaurant for lunch before, but I forgot to post about it at that time. So, this is actually my second time here. The soba noodles are strong and delicious. They don't have a list of drinks, but they recommend options for you. I had a lot of fresh sake, which was really tasty. The food and soba noodles went well together, so I kept drinking more (lol). The Yakimori in particular was a great match. Thank you for the meal.

You can enjoy drinking from noon. The seasoning. Balance. Of course, soba. A place where you can also enjoy alcohol properly. Be prepared to wait in line. You should go with the composure to enjoy it. I will go again. I want to go every day. I fully enjoyed it♪

After 5-6 years, I visited a soba restaurant on the approach to Shitennoji Temple. There is usually a long line during weekend lunch hours, but you can usually get in without waiting if you go early in the evening. It was a cold night, so I had soba with shochu and hot water. As side dishes, I had potato salad, tempura of conger eel, fried tofu and taro, beef tendon and konjac, and finished with country-style soba and half a thick roll. Everything was delicious, and there are other menu items that caught my eye. Most importantly, the soba is really delicious!

Today, I visited "Hayauti" near Shitennoji Temple in Osaka. Despite arriving 15 minutes before opening, there were already 5 groups of people waiting in line. It's definitely a popular place! Luckily, I was able to get in just before the first seating. I started with the 100% buckwheat soba and then ordered a tempura set for seconds. The soba was robust yet had a wonderful aroma and smooth texture. It was delicious!笑

Today's soba was from Hayauchi. I had one serving of thin-cut and one serving of coarse-ground noodles with a side of tempura. I arrived at 11:10, so I was the first in line, but five minutes later, people started gathering and a long line formed. The restaurant was full as soon as it opened. It's a familiar sight... The taste and aroma were both excellent.

Located in Shitennoji Temple, "Hayauti" is a restaurant known for its delicious soba noodles. It is popular and often has long lines on weekends. The interior has two 4-person tables and a 6-seat counter, so it can get crowded, but the turnover is quick. They make the soba noodles on-site, so you can enjoy freshly made noodles with a good texture. I ordered the tempura soba. You can choose between fine or coarse ground soba noodles, and I chose the fine ones for a smooth texture. The tempura included 2 shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, sweet potatoes, lotus root, edamame, and ginkgo nuts, all freshly fried and deliciously crispy. The soba noodles were smooth, had a good bite, and were the best I've ever had. Towards the end of the meal, the staff brought hot soba broth, which I poured into the remaining dipping sauce and enjoyed drinking. They also serve dishes that go well with alcohol, so it's a versatile restaurant for various occasions. If you love soba noodles, I highly recommend visiting this place.

Lunchtime. I lined up for about 15 minutes and entered the restaurant at 12:30. There is always a line in front of the shop. Perhaps because it was during the winter holiday period, the staff at the reception seemed inexperienced and provided slow service. I had already placed my order while waiting in line, so within 5 minutes of entering, the delicious tempura was brought to me. I enjoyed it with the recommended salt while waiting for a few minutes for the soba to arrive. The broth had a gentle flavor with a hint of salt, which was soothing for my stomach after the holiday indulgence. The soba had a good chewiness and was smooth, which was delicious. Personally, I prefer a bit more chewiness. It seems that they offer plenty of drinks and excellent appetizers in the evening, so I will visit at night next time. Thank you for the meal!
