Finally, I went to Maruya, a place I've been wanting to visit for a long time! I had been wanting to go before the cold season ended, so I made sure to go. Since it's a popular restaurant, I recommend making a reservation. Their famous oyster miso hot pot for 2 people, sashimi platter for 2 people, and oyster tempura were delicious. The oyster miso hot pot was filled with plenty of oysters, each one large and plump. The miso broth had a refreshing hint of yuzu, which was just right and very satisfying. The sashimi was fresh and large, with a good amount of fat, and the raw oysters were incredibly delicious. I was also happy to see firefly squid in the sashimi platter. The oyster tempura had a nice crispy texture on the outside, while the milky part of the oyster was still tender inside. It came with sauce, but I preferred eating it with salt. The portions of the oyster hot pot, sashimi, and tempura were quite generous, so be careful not to overeat. The staff were all friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. I would love to go back when I crave oysters again!

There are many varieties of sashimi platters and it's amazing! The fish menu is delicious, probably delivered directly from the market on the premises of Kizu Market. The grilled kabuto (helmet shell) is huge and looks like it will fill you up! They recommended the oyster hot pot, but it might not be available now. I want to try the hot pot next time!

There were chairs! I had a very enjoyable and delicious time. They provided good quality ingredients at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was fun and the owners were like a happy couple, interacting with the regular customers to make everyone's time enjoyable. I was surprised by the watermelon chu-hai, I thought it wouldn't taste good because of the watermelon... but it was sweet and delicious. I asked a regular customer and they said they always use sweet watermelon. It might be even better if they reduce the portion size a bit and adjust the price accordingly. You can try a variety of dishes even with a small group, so I will visit again!

It's like a shop inside a vinyl tent. The seats are narrow and there's no place to put your belongings. The sashimi is delicious. The oysters are also delicious. Especially, the broth in the hot pot was incredibly tasty. I like grilled oysters and fried oysters, but I usually don't like oysters in hot pot. However, I found the oysters in this place to be delicious.

The restaurant is very crowded, but you can eat fresh oysters in a sashimi platter that smells a little like the sea. The oysters with ponzu sauce are delicious, with thick slices of sashimi. The oyster hot pot with white miso does not contain monkfish. If you ask for a gout hot pot, they will make it for you. The amberjack and tuna sashimi were delicious.

You can eat oysters raw, and they also have pork inside. I went to Maruya, a standing bar in Osaka Ougoku-cho! I tried their seasonal limited oyster miso hot pot, which was packed with fresh oysters. It was so delicious! The miso and oysters went really well together! Add in the Chinese noodles and it was perfect! The finishing Chinese noodles were also amazing! Oyster lovers will absolutely love this place! It seems like they serve it until around April. Even though it's a standing bar, you can also sit down. Reservations are recommended.

Today it's cold so we decided to have hot pot and came to "Tachinomi-dokoro Maruya". This place is popular on Instagram and TikTok! Despite the snow falling, the place was packed with customers! We ordered a sashimi platter and an oyster hot pot. The sashimi platter had a wide variety of fresh and delicious fish! The oyster hot pot was amazing with a mountain of oysters and even some white fish roe on top! Everything is so fresh as it comes directly from the Kizu Market. It's simply the best!

Daikoku Town - Imamiya Ema - Oyster Hot Pot - [2-chome, Higashi Fukutsu, Naniwa-ku] Located at the northeast corner of the Daikoku intersection on National Route 26, at the eastern end of Kushimarket (Kushimachi Yokocho), you will find Maruya, a standing bar. We visited with a reservation for three people during the peak oyster season in February. The restaurant, resembling a vinyl house, had circular tables that could fit 4-5 people. We started with black beer and enjoyed oyster miso soup (1980 yen x 3), fresh cod sperm sac (1000 yen x 2), Chinese noodles (350 yen x 2), and thick udon noodles (350 yen x 2). Determined to focus only on the oyster hot pot, we waited for the pot to boil, which took about 20 minutes. As we finished our beers and moved on to highballs, the two of us who love to drink eagerly awaited the completion of the hot pot. The hot pot was finally ready, filled with 30-40 oysters that could be enjoyed raw. The topping of cod sperm sac, white miso, and yuzu peel added a delicious flavor. The pot contained pork, enoki mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, tofu, and bean sprouts in a sweet broth, which we adjusted to our liking with shichimi and ichimi spices. After filling our stomachs with noodles, we concluded our meal with satisfaction.

I was invited to go to an oyster hot pot restaurant by a friend, even though I wasn't very interested in oyster hot pot. But when I tried it, the oysters were piled high and I was told I could eat them raw whenever I wanted. As someone who loves raw oysters, I was thrilled and did a little victory dance. It was really delicious. The staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere where the staff and customers were getting along well. There were some young people as customers, but because of the location, it also had a bit of a deep vibe. The restaurant was very small, but once I had a few drinks, I found it quite cozy.

I went to Maruya, a popular standing bar on Instagram that serves delicious oyster hot pot. Despite being a standing bar, all seats are available. The phone keeps ringing with reservations even while we were eating. It's best to make a reservation by phone or online after 10 pm when it's less busy. The oyster hot pot looked great, but it was only enough for two people, leaving us still hungry. It's a shame they don't offer single servings. The taste was lighter than expected. The yellowtail sashimi was excellent. There weren't many small dishes to nibble on, so we left after just an hour of eating the hot pot. Thank you for the meal!

After finishing a live show at ZeppNamba, I came to a seafood izakaya surrounded by vinyl sheets in Namba Kushimachi Yokocho next to Kuromon Market. First, I quenched my thirst with a draft beer. The grilled salted sardines were fragrant and delicious. I also had a bottle of Kirin Lager. The dried overnight sea bream had a rich flavor without any strong taste. I preferred it over the simmered dish. The seafood pancake had a chewy texture with octopus and squid. The fried rockfish was cooked slowly and thoroughly, so I could eat almost every part, including the head. I enjoyed my meal at Namba Kushimachi Yokocho in Naniwa-ku, Osaka.

I decided to go with a sashimi platter, oyster vinegar, and the last seasonal hot pot of the day with a topping of cod milt. The appetizers were firefly squid and chilled tofu, both fresh and delicious. The oysters in ponzu sauce were big and juicy, living up to the restaurant's reputation. The sashimi included sea bream, tuna, bonito, and more, a wide variety. The hot pot arrived and it was overwhelming with the amount of oysters. It was so much that I wondered if it was really meant for one person. Once it started boiling, I mixed in the miso and enjoyed it. Miso and oysters are a classic combination. I went out drinking with a friend and we met up in Namba before heading to a popular restaurant called Maruya in Namba Kizu-machi Yokocho, about a 5-minute walk from Nankai Imamiya Eki. Although it's a standing bar, they also have seating available. We ordered highballs, which were made extra strong and tasted great. The complimentary dish was shirasu (whitebait). We also ordered the specialty oyster miso hot pot, sashimi platter, grilled atka mackerel, hokke (Okhotsk atka mackerel) sashimi, seared bonito, and more. The sashimi platter was delicious, especially the atka mackerel. The highballs were so strong that one was enough for my friend to feel tipsy. The oyster miso hot pot was full of plump oysters and had a rich flavor. We also enjoyed dishes like grilled hokke, sake, and fried horse mackerel. The staff were friendly and the overall experience was enjoyable. I would love to come back to try more dishes from their extensive menu.

I visited this restaurant because it seemed like a place where not many people drink outside. It is located inside the Kizu Market. We sat at a terrace table with three people. The interior was small, with a counter and two small table seats. There was a partition on the terrace table, but we were allowed to move it aside. We ordered sashimi and octopus tempura, which are the specialties of this seafood izakaya in Kizu Market. The sashimi was very luxurious, with squid, shrimp, bonito, octopus, and sea bream. Everything was fresh and delicious, and everyone praised it. We enjoyed it with regular beer, half-and-half, and local sake. We didn't order too much because we were planning to drink at home afterwards, but I would like to come back again. The manager was very cheerful.

I heard that there is a really cheap oyster hot pot restaurant at Kizu Market, so I decided to visit. The place looks like a typical market stall, but you can actually sit down. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. And the oyster hot pot, priced at 1680 yen, came with a huge amount of oysters. This time, I added some shirako on top. The miso-flavored soup with oysters and shirako was rich and tasty! Even if I get gout tomorrow, I won't regret it. The menu says one drink per person, but one of my friends doesn't drink alcohol. It was kind of sad to see the look on their face when told they had to order a drink. Of course, I understand it's a business and they need to sell alcohol because the prices are low. Anyway, I always drink twice as much as others, so I asked them to bring me three drinks right away. Next time, I'll go with a sign saying "I drink a lot." The bill was surprisingly cheap. I'm full again today.

This time, I went to Maruya located under the highway. The dishes I had were mainly seafood. They included a sashimi platter, fried oysters, grilled saury, deep-fried eggplant, grilled chicken with salt, and thick fried tofu. The sashimi platter is one of the specialties of this restaurant. The cuts were luxurious and brought happiness to my mouth. The thick fried tofu was also delicious, with an abnormally soft tofu texture and a crispy outer layer. The eggplant was also tasty, especially when deep-fried. I started feeling cold halfway through as I continued drinking beer, so I switched to enjoying seafood with sake. Since it's a restaurant inside the market, the prices were reasonable and the food was delicious.
