Today, I had some business in Nara in the morning. On the way back, around lunchtime, I visited a restaurant in Tennoji that I had been wanting to go to for a while. It was already around 2 o'clock, but there were four people waiting. I visited this place to try their soupless tantanmen. At first, I thought about getting the special version as usual, but when I looked at the review photos from other customers, it seemed like a wild toppings extravaganza. (laughs) I wanted to try it, but I'm on a mini diet, so I resisted and ordered the regular soupless tantanmen for 870 yen. When the waitress came to take my order, I asked for 200 grams of noodles. I really wanted to get 350 grams, but... (^^;; As soon as I entered the restaurant, my order was quickly served. Wow, it looks delicious, doesn't it! Even without the special toppings, it looks quite impressive. There are various toppings, including pickled radish. This pickled radish goes so well with the mixed noodles! I mix it all together... Wow! What a strong noodle... I mean, strong punch. Other customers mentioned that the noodles were thick and difficult to mix, and I understand now. I put all my strength into mixing it continuously. Oh, but these amazing strong noodles! And my favorite flat curly noodles. It's so hearty and doesn't seem like just 200 grams. The flaky chashu, pickled radish, soft-boiled egg, chopped onions, and more all combine with these strong noodles to create an irresistible texture, and the right amount of spiciness adds to the experience. The chewiness and elasticity of the noodles are at a godly level. It's like a high-quality customization of Jiro-style noodles. It was a wonderful moment. In the words of Raoh, "I have no regrets in my noodle life!" (laughs) Thank you for the meal.

I happened to visit a very delicious ramen shop. When I first saw it, I wasn't sure what to expect, but once I entered, I found a very clean and beautiful interior with a good menu. There were no menus inside the shop and no vending machines, so I was unsure how to order and had to ask where the menu was. Each table had a booklet as the menu! I ordered the regular chicken broth ramen. There were various options to choose from, which I think younger people would appreciate. Since I can't eat too much, I asked for a little extra vegetables. The noodles and soup were not mind-blowing, but I could tell that there were various efforts put into them. One thing that bothered me was that the staff, who were foreigners, had their thumbs inside the bowls... it was quite off-putting. Even though they were foreigners, if they had been told in the beginning, I think they would have made sure to keep their thumbs out when serving the ramen. Overall, if I go to Abeno again, I would definitely visit this place. Thank you for the meal.

Chicken white broth salt ramen with whole wheat hand-kneaded noodles for 840 yen (tax included). Half topping of flavored egg (free). As mentioned by others, there are many foreign staff members. Good value for money with plenty of vegetables, an extra noodle refill, and a free half flavored egg topping. The soup has a slightly light taste of chicken white broth. However, the noodles are disappointing, as they seem undercooked and leave a lingering feeling in the mouth. Additionally, the chashu pork is too salty. Perhaps trying a different type of noodles may yield a better experience, or it could have just been a one-time occurrence for me.

Night visit. Payment after the meal. All staff members are foreigners and their Japanese is quite poor. It seemed strict if the order was not according to the manual. - Special Chicken Paitan Ramen: 1110 yen, flat thick noodles. Toppings with plenty of vegetables and flavored egg. The flat thick noodles have a satisfying deliciousness. The hand-kneaded noodles have a few hand-kneading marks and feel like straight noodles. There is quite a line depending on the time. Thank you for the meal.

There is always a long line at 8:30 PM on Fridays, but there was only one group waiting, so I decided to try the chicken white broth miso vegetable ramen with extra half egg for free, which is rare. Maybe it's popular because of its rarity. The taste is a bit different, creamy, light, and rich. Evaluations may vary from person to person. Personally, I don't think it's worth waiting in line for.

After drinking, I always crave ramen. I went to the popular restaurant "Menya Taniguchi" at Abeno Walk in Tennoji. The place was packed, so I had to wait a bit. I tried their Tonkotsu Shio Ramen for 830 yen, which was light yet flavorful. The chashu was also delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

The taste was average. For 1160 yen, I might try a different place next time. I had the Special Chicken Paitan Miso (flat noodles). I went on Monday at 6:45 pm and didn't have to wait in line. The miso flavor was strong!! The water was lukewarm!! Personally, I prefer ramen with ice water. The staff seemed unfriendly, they were chatting with a friend inside, the menu looked greasy, and there were several things that bothered me.

I ordered the special no-soup tantanmen noodles. They come with a free half-seasoned boiled egg. You can choose the amount of noodles in increments of 50 grams, ranging from 200 to 350 grams. It was a great deal and the flavor was really delicious. It wasn't too spicy, so if you're looking for spiciness, this might not be the best choice. The mild spiciness from the aromatic spices made me feel warm from the inside. It's a great choice for when you want a hearty meal on a cold day. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Next to Q's Mall, there is a ramen shop that always has a long line, so I was curious and decided to visit for the first time. Even on a weekday night, there were 4-5 groups waiting in line. Upon entering the shop, I noticed that only foreign staff were working, causing some delays in the operation, with mistakes in orders for customers beside me. As for the ramen itself: - Tonkotsu Shio Ramen 830 yen The thin noodles were visually appealing, and the clear soup was just right for finishing off a meal. However, I felt that it lacked a bit of punch as a dinner option. I also tried the extra noodles, which were hand-kneaded ultra-thin noodles. There were other tempting options like chicken broth and tsukemen, so I would like to go back to try them.

Last time I had a lot, so I tried again. I didn't order the spicy tan-tan, but something light and balanced with a clam broth that's trendy these days. The place is not bad, so maybe that's why it's popular. You can choose from 3 types of homemade noodles, but they're pretty standard. It was satisfying to go there once. All the staff are foreigners, which seems to be a trendy business move.

The Dan Dan noodles without soup special, 300g. I think it was 1160 yen? It does have nuts and such in it, but it lacks the strong Dan Dan flavor. It's like it's Dan Dan noodles, but not really. Maybe it's good for Japanese taste? It doesn't have much of an ethnic feel. It seems like you can get more noodles for free, so I ended up really full.

At the ramen restaurant, Menya Taniguchi in Tennoji, located in Via Abeno Walk in Abeno Q's Mall, the name was a bit hard to find on the signboard. There were about 4 people waiting in front of the store, indicating its popularity. You can choose from tonkotsu shoyu or chicken shio broth, with various flavors like miso, shoyu, and shio, as well as different types of noodles. They also offer tsukemen and tantanmen, so it's good to take your time deciding while waiting. We ordered tonkotsu shio with normal broth and special thin noodles, and chicken shio with miso broth, whole wheat noodles, and added half boiled egg (complimentary) and extra vegetables (complimentary). The tonkotsu shio ramen had a refreshing taste with a slight pork flavor, while the chicken shio ramen had a noticeable miso taste. The noodles were firm and had a good texture. Overall, the customizable options, free toppings, and free extra noodles made it a good value for the price. It's easy to see why it's popular.

I arrived before 1 pm. There were only 3 people lined up in front of the shop, so I decided to wait. I was able to get in after about 10 minutes. I ordered my favorite tonkotsu shoyu ramen with thin noodles. It's always delicious whenever I eat it. The broth is light and perfect! There was a note about the free noodle refill, saying to order it when you have finished about 1/3 of your noodles. The person next to me ordered extra noodles with flat thick noodles and was asked if it was okay because it would take some time. The cooking time is 4 minutes, so it was a kind reminder. The extra noodles were served in about 5 minutes. In my case, with thin noodles, it only takes 50 seconds to cook, so I didn't receive any special notice. However, there was a moment when the cook's hands stopped, and I wondered if they had forgotten my extra noodles. It took about 8 minutes for them to be served, and it was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice if they had said "sorry for the wait" when serving them. Despite this small disappointment, there's no doubt that it's a delicious restaurant, so I will definitely go back. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the noodle shop "Taniguchi". It's always crowded at lunchtime and I couldn't eat there, but after 8 p.m., it was empty and I could enter without waiting. The dishes were stylishly presented. They offer free toppings like an extra serving of noodles, half a flavored egg, and extra vegetables, so I chose all of them. You can also choose the type of noodles for the extra serving, so I was able to try two different kinds of noodles, which felt like a good deal. It was very delicious! I can see why there's always a line. My friend had the soy sauce ramen. I'll try that next time!

I used to not give ratings because I was disappointed when I went to eat soupless tantanmen before, but this time I reconsidered that it's not good to evaluate without eating what they are good at, and tried their special chicken white broth miso ramen. As expected, recommended items are different. It was super delicious! The noodles were also whole wheat hand-kneaded noodles, which matched very well. Next time, I'm thinking of trying the regular chicken white broth.

On this day, I stayed overnight at Tennoji Station (after sightseeing in Kawachinagano, in a convenient location to move to Kyoto the next day) and researched a highly rated ramen shop nearby, so I decided to visit. What I ordered: - Special Miso White Chicken Ramen It's common to see combinations of salt and chicken white broth, or soy sauce and chicken white broth, but miso is quite rare. The charred aroma and flavor of the chashu were excellent!!

On my way back home, I was in Tennoji and had been craving ramen since the day before, so I searched on Tabelog for a ramen place. As a fan of chicken white broth, I decided to go to this place. Even though it's located on the 1st floor of VIA Abeno Walk, it wasn't listed on the mall map for some reason, making me wonder if it had closed down. But Tabelog was updated, so I wandered around for about 15 minutes with a puzzled look on my face. After looking at the exterior photo, I finally found the place. It was a Sunday before 1 pm, so I was prepared to wait in line. Sure enough, there were 6 people ahead of me, and I got into the shop after about 30 minutes. The soup had both pork and chicken options, but I had decided on chicken white broth. I was torn between salt and miso, but the staff recommended miso, so I went with that. The ramen was priced at 890 yen, which seemed quite reasonable to me. You could choose from 6 types of noodles, and I opted for homemade hand-kneaded noodles. There were free toppings available, such as extra noodles, half-seasoned egg, and extra vegetables. I chose the seasoned egg and extra vegetables. The presentation was very stylish! The soup was rich and the miso flavor was strong, making it quite heavy on an empty stomach, but it was delicious, so I managed to finish it all! The noodles were perfectly coated in the soup, so tasty! While eating, I realized that my seasoned egg was missing, but I didn't want to bother mentioning it as the staff member who took my order was a foreigner, and I was already full. Creamy but with a strong miso flavor! Maybe that's why I couldn't taste much of the chicken essence. So next time, I want to try the salt flavor, but I'm not sure if I want to wait in line again. Overall, it was a ramen place with a bit of a wait, only counter seating, and slow turnover. It seemed like they were short-staffed.

There were many ramen shops lined up around, but this shop had a long line. I tried the Tonkotsu Shio Ramen, which was delicious with both a light and rich, savory flavor of roasted pork. You can choose the type of soup, noodles, and optional toppings (some are extra cost). Surprisingly, extra noodles are free. The soup was light and suitable for women's taste. The staff were all low-key and not very friendly, but the delicious taste made it a popular spot.

I ordered the Buta Shio Ramen for 830 yen because it was listed as the first item on the menu, but it was just average. According to Tabelog rating criteria: 5.0 for prefectural top, 4.5 for city/town top, 4.0 for city/town top ranking, 3.5 for delicious, 3.0 for average, 2.0 for bad, 1.0 for terrible, 0.0 for refund, and 0.0 for wanting money.

I usually go for the pork salt ramen, but this time I decided to try something different. I chose to have whole grain noodles as my topping. It was good, but I still prefer the salt flavor. I've always been a fan of salt ramen, so it's hard to change my preference. For 830 yen, the quality of the ramen was impressive. Personally, I think I still like the pork salt ramen with thin noodles the best. It's a matter of personal preference. I also got a free extra serving of thin noodles. Thank you for the meal.

Char siu with a nice sear has a strong and pleasing flavor that everyone will enjoy. The flavored egg that follows is sweet and gentle, the best tasting egg I've had at a ramen shop. The shop opens at 5:00 PM and when I arrived at 5:00 PM, there was already one customer ahead of me. If you go around 5:30 PM (on weekdays), you should be able to get in without waiting if it's just one or two people. Being able to choose the type of noodles for your ramen, as well as getting free extra noodles, half a flavored egg, or lots of vegetables, is a big plus. The staff were very friendly too! I definitely want to come back here again! I had the Special Pork Salt Ramen for 1,110 yen. Just one thing to note ⚠️ When closing the door, if you let go of it halfway, it makes quite a loud "bang" noise. So remember, please hold onto it until it's fully closed!
