On this day, I had some business in Mitaka. It finished early, so I decided to have a drink before heading home. After exploring the area around Mitaka Station South Exit, I found a promising sign on a building and decided to go in. The place I visited this time was Ebisu Mitaka Store. The entrance to the basement floor was through an elevator. The counter seats were nicely spaced out, perfect for enjoying a drink alone. Orders were placed through a tablet. I ordered Sapporo Lager for 530 yen, which was cold and refreshing. The appetizer of cold simmered eggplant for 300 yen was delicious. I also ordered my favorite dish of chicken skin with ponzu sauce for 429 yen, which was amazing. I tried three flavors of chicken wings: sansho pepper, black pepper, and sauce, each for 121 yen. They were all tasty, with the sansho pepper being my favorite. I also ordered grilled skewers: Hakata pork belly for 132 yen and tsukune for 165 yen, both were delicious. I paired these dishes with a glass of Kameizumi Junmai Ginjo sake from Kochi for 950 yen, which had a soft and smooth taste. The total bill was surprisingly affordable at less than 3000 yen. Overall, everything from the drinks to the food was delicious, and I would definitely want to visit this great restaurant again if it were closer to my home. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

After a long time, I felt like eating horse sashimi and went to this restaurant. I was a bit scared because I had a bad experience with raw meat before, but this time I had no problems and enjoyed the meal! The motsunabe included in the course was also delicious and filling, making it a great deal. I also appreciated the complimentary dessert at the end!

Located just a 1-minute walk from Mitaka Station South Exit. As soon as you get off the escalator, you're right there. I visited on a Sunday at 5pm and customers kept coming in one after another. It was nice to get a 20% discount on drinks or food with a coupon. The salted cabbage and fried chicken wings were a bit salty, but the horse sashimi trio and sesame bonito were very delicious. The service was also good. Got a coupon for 5 fried chicken wings with the receipt. You have to go.

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was, considering I just randomly walked in. It seems to be a restaurant that mainly serves Kyushu cuisine. I forgot to take a picture of the spicy lotus root, but it was definitely worth trying. I ended up going back for more multiple times. The spiciness of the mustard was addicting. Thank you for the meal.

Reserved a 3-hour all-you-can-drink plan for 1590 yen. Minimum of 2 items per person, so we ordered 4 items for the two of us. We ordered Kyushu cuisine, including chicken tempura, mustard lotus root, and vegetable skewers. The vegetable skewers, except for the pork wrapped in versatile leeks, were disappointing as they were small. However, we were satisfied as we could drink cheaply and eat well!

I haven't been in touch for a while. I'm still alive today... I visited this chain restaurant for a night out with close friends. Despite offering all-you-can-drink Ebisu beer at a reasonable price, the food, including motsunabe, was well-prepared and satisfying. I drank too much again tonight... Thank you for the meal!

On the second day of my trip to Tokyo, I met with my uncle and aunt whom I hadn't seen in a long time. Our meeting point was in Mitaka, which was a bit of a walk from my accommodation in Kichijoji. I remembered walking there a long time ago, so I thought it wouldn't be too far. However, the summer evening was hot and humid, and I ended up sweating a lot on the way. After about 10 minutes, I finally arrived at Mitaka station and met up with my uncle and aunt. We went to a restaurant they recommended, which was known for its Kyushu-style dishes. We let them order for us, and we enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes. The motsunabe (offal hot pot) we ordered was especially tasty, and I wanted to add more vegetables to the remaining broth, but unfortunately, they couldn't accommodate that request. We ended up ordering another one, feeling a bit wasteful. Also, the staff didn't notice the empty plates piling up next to our table, so we had to ask them to take them away each time. Despite these minor inconveniences, we had a great meal and were treated by my uncle and aunt in the end!

Listed up reasonable places to enjoy motsunabe, reserved a table for a year-end party with colleagues living nearby. Upon entering, the staff greeted us energetically. This is how an izakaya should be. Besides the motsunabe, we also enjoyed the crispy fried chicken wings and fatty horse sashimi, which were all rich in flavor and paired well with drinks. By the time we got to the motsunabe, some of us were already tipsy. The motsunabe was soy sauce-based and the freshness of the motsu was top-notch and delicious. However, it made us incredibly thirsty. For those with high blood pressure, don't forget your medication. Thank you for the meal.

First stop at the casual drinking festival - horse sashimi and draft beer (Ebisu). The lean red meat was refreshing.
