On a regular day at 12:30, the restaurant was spacious and easy to enter. The entrance is a bit hidden, but there is a sign on the main street to help you find it. The interior was clean, and mostly female customers were present. The menu only offers chirashi sushi, which was served within a few minutes after seating. The exterior gives off a traditional Edo-style chirashi sushi vibe. The bowl had ikura in the center, pink minced tuna on the side, slices of tamago, and a bit of Matsumae-zuke. Burdock root, carrot, and pickles were also included. The amount of sushi rice was modest, suitable for female customers, but growing men might want to ask for a larger portion. Miso soup was also served. The fish slices were all fresh, with sweet and tender squid, and high-quality medium fatty tuna. At a price of 1,100 yen including tax, it's a satisfying meal for anyone. This restaurant is definitely a good choice for lunch in the Kojimachi area.

At lunchtime, there is only one menu option, and without ordering anything special, a seafood bowl for each person will be served! There are also counter seats, making it easy to use alone. I probably got in on the first turn, but there was a waiting line when I left... The food comes out quickly, so I think it's great.

Located in the back of the first floor of a building, you might not even notice this place without the sign. The lunch option is only chirashi sushi for 1200 yen. It seems to be a shop with its main store in Yamagata. I ordered with less rice and no wasabi. The portion may look small because of the less rice. There is a mountain of fresh sashimi. It's nice to see the energetic chef behind the counter. The service is quick and the turnover is fast. The miso soup was also delicious, I drank it all up. Very satisfied.

I came back again. The nigiri sushi is very cost-effective at 5000 yen. I chose the omakase nigiri. I got a little confused about the price. If you just want nigiri, it's good to go for the 5000 yen nigiri and maybe add a little extra. I will come back again.

A sushi restaurant that I often visit. The shop is spacious and luxurious, with a long counter where you can enjoy a calm meal. The selection of ingredients is excellent, always offering the best seasonal items. The sushi is both traditional and innovative, and the appetizers are also delightful. Located about a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Kojimachi Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. This place is close to my workplace, so it's one of my go-to spots for a well-deserved lunch after a busy day. The Special Assorted Sushi Lunch for 1,200 yen (tax included) is a great deal with a generous amount of toppings and a side soup. The chef's careful and efficient work, along with the lively service, always leaves me feeling refreshed and energized. The sunken kotatsu-style counter seats are also a nice touch. I'll definitely be back for another visit after finishing a work project. They're open from 11:30 to 13:30 (last order), and since they have good turnover, there's hardly ever a wait on weekdays.

Just a short walk from Kojimachi Station. The restaurant is clean with a counter and several private rooms. Although the main branch is in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, the head chef was at the Kojimachi branch on this day! The fresh fish was delicious, and each dish was prepared in a way that made it taste even better. The head chef's personality surely has many fans, but other staff members are also friendly and make the experience very enjoyable. It's a restaurant where you can feel that they are doing a great job. Thank you for the meal!

(December 2022 revisit) This was a weekday evening drinking session. I visited this place for a business dinner with clients. It's been 2 years since my last visit. I started with a bottle of Premium Malt's beer, and after one glass, switched to my usual highball. The prices of the drinks were not listed on the menu. On this day, we had a course meal consisting of 2 appetizers, sashimi, simmered fish, and sushi. The portions were small, but the flavors really stood out! The sashimi included horse mackerel (recommended with green onions), medium fatty tuna, lean tuna, red snapper, and striped jack (served with wasabi soy sauce). The horse mackerel had a nice firm texture. The most unique part was the large fatty tuna on top of the sushi, with a different type of sashimi beneath it, allowing us to enjoy contrasting textures. Both were from the same tuna. I was able to enjoy delicious drinks and food in moderation. Thank you for the meal.

Lunch was great. When entering the restaurant, I had to take off my shoes as it was a rule. I was seated at the counter since I was dining alone. I didn't have to wait long, as my order was served in just 5 minutes. The portion size was a bit small, but the quality of the food was good. I was satisfied with the price, especially since it came with a delicious clam soup.

The restaurant closest to my workplace which I had never visited before. During lunchtime, there were quite a few customers, but the staff seemed overwhelmed and the atmosphere was hectic. The bara-chirashi served was tasty, but with the price exceeding 1,000 yen for lunch, I had expected a more relaxed dining experience.

We decided to go for lunch together. We chose a sushi restaurant for a change. We arrived a bit early at 11:45 to avoid the lunch rush. I ordered a seafood bowl for lunch. It was filled with plenty of fresh seafood and each bite was delicious. I was very satisfied with the meal, especially considering it only cost 1100 yen. Given the location, I think it was a great deal for a seafood bowl.

I used it on Thursday night. The chefs and staff were all smiling and explained the dishes clearly, making me feel comfortable. I had a course meal for around 10,000 yen with drinks, and everything from appetizers to grilled dishes, sushi, and the final soup dish were all satisfying, with flavors that brought out the taste of the ingredients. The lunch menu is advertised as 1,100 yen including tax. I definitely want to visit for lunch. I initially thought it would be more expensive due to the location, but considering the taste, portion size, and the staff's service, I think it's very reasonable.

Around Hanzomon, before going for a cherry blossom viewing stroll, a couple discussed where to have lunch. They decided to go to "Suzumasa" on Shinjuku Street for some sushi. The restaurant only serves "chirashi sushi" during lunchtime, so the decision was easy. The entrance to the restaurant is at the back of a building on the first floor. It used to be called "Koraku Bekkan," but the name has changed, though the same chirashi sushi is still available. The wife remembered this place from 30 years ago when she was a student, with similar prices and menu items. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with carpeted sunken seating and comfortable counter seats. They were seated in a sunken seating area and served miso soup with clams, which was delicious but a bit too hot. The chirashi sushi arrived with a variety of toppings including tuna, squid, mackerel, shrimp, salmon roe, tamagoyaki, and more. The couple enjoyed the thick and flavorful tuna, and despite initially thinking the rice portion was small, they found the overall meal satisfying. They appreciated the quality of the sushi and felt it was a good value for the price. They plan to visit again soon on a weekday when it's less crowded.

The start with nodoguro and the sweetness of asparagus permeating was excellent, with the mozuku nicely balancing out the sourness. It was very easy to eat and I am grateful for that. From the sashimi to the negitoro roll, everything was always delicious.

While they have a limited selection of alcohol, if you ask for something spicy or fruity, they can serve you a small bottle (1 cup or half). I usually start with sashimi and grilled dishes before moving on to sushi. They use thoroughly inspected fish, so you can enjoy without worrying about Anisakis. The sashimi with green onions is amazing and pairs well with sake. The grilled nodoguro was outstanding, with a perfect balance of fatty and lean meat. The otoro was so tender and melted in the mouth. I also tried uni, which was rare this year, and it was delicious. The meal ended with a negitoro roll, which was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back.

Here is a high-value lunch seafood bowl! It's been a while since I visited Kojimachi. I wanted a lunch that was a bit refreshing but still satisfying, so I decided to visit Suzumasa. Even though there were four of us, we were able to be seated right away despite it being a weekday lunchtime. The impact of COVID-19 is truly remarkable. This time, we were seated at the back. We placed our order right away. I was craving a seafood bowl, so that's what we all ordered. After a short wait, our bowls arrived promptly. Hmm, they look delicious as always. And all this for just one bill? The rice looks beautiful, the fish is shiny. Mmm, I'm satisfied. The restaurant is also clean and provides a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The portions were generous and the freshness of the ingredients was satisfactory. The miso soup served alongside the bowl contained a good amount of clams. (Visited in early March 2021) It was a weekday dinner. I visited this restaurant after visiting a business partner. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were only two other groups of customers in the spacious restaurant. I started with a beer and then switched to a Red Rabbit carbonated drink. I consider myself a highball connoisseur (laughs). The dishes I tried were Firefly Squid with vinegar miso, Simmered Sea Cucumber, Sashimi assortment (Tuna Chu-toro, Akami, Yellowtail, Scallop, Ark Shell, and one more that I forgot), Grilled Mackerel with salt, and a finale of 7 pieces of sushi (Tuna O-toro, Sea Bream, Eel, Squid, Horse Mackerel, Halibut, and Sea Urchin). The sashimi and sushi were all delicious, but the standout was definitely the grilled mackerel! It was fatty and moist. Grilled fish served at a sushi restaurant, the freshness is on another level. Truly impressive. It's hard for me to visit this place regularly due to its location in Kojimachi, but I definitely want to bring my wife here at least once.

It's been a while since I entered this building. The only noticeable changes are whether the consumption tax is included or not, and the teacups seem to have become cleaner. The interior of the store also feels more organized compared to the chaotic feeling before. The operation has improved, and it seems like the speed to serving the meal has increased.
