I received an invitation from a senior colleague I am grateful for, and visited a restaurant for the first time. It was a bit hard to find as there was no signboard, but I managed to arrive a little late. We toasted in a sunken kotatsu table seat at the back. The appetizers were plentiful - edamame, okara, snow crab with miso, scallops, and more. It seemed like we could drink a lot just with these appetizers! The sashimi platter for four was luxurious - bonito, medium fatty tuna, ark shell, barracuda, horse mackerel, Anago eel, and more. The whale song was a rare touch. All the dishes were delicious. Of course, we had to have sake! The assorted grilled dishes were hearty - grilled sea bream, spiny lobster, matsutake mushrooms with chestnuts. The tempura platter was also impressive - Anago eel tempura was even more delicious than the sashimi. There was also matsutake mushroom tempura. For dessert, we had a tomato salad with ameera tomatoes. It was a feast.

Today, I had a dinner meeting with business associates at a gourmet restaurant chosen by one of them. The restaurant was a bit hard to find, with no visible sign outside, but we eventually located it on the second floor. We arrived at 7:00 PM for our reservation and were warmly welcomed by the lively chef. We were seated in a cozy sunken table area and started with a toast. The menu was a bit hard to read, with no prices listed, but our experienced companion confidently placed our order. We had a variety of dishes including seasonal sashimi, simmered fresh clams, and assorted tempura, along with drinks like beer, sake, and a special plum wine. The meal started with a fantastic trio of appetizers featuring premium ingredients like crab, red clam, and abalone. The sashimi platter was beautifully presented and included a selection of 9 different types of fish and seafood. We also enjoyed the simmered clams, tempura assortment, and the unique flavors of each dish. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, with conversations flowing freely among diners. While the bill came out to about 10,000 yen per person due to our indulgence in drinks, the overall satisfaction with the quality of food and service made it worth it. I look forward to returning to this wonderful restaurant for more delicious food, drinks, and conversations at the counter next time. Thank you for a great meal!

I didn't drink because I was driving, but the two people I went with enjoyed some delicious sake! The sashimi platter was a bit limited due to the heavy rain this week, but they still served a generous portion. The simmered fish dish was said to be the best. The tempura vegetables, including horse mackerel, sweet potato, lotus root, and yam, were the tastiest. I regret not enjoying a meal with sake too. The chef here is quite talkative!

I was taken to a restaurant by an acquaintance near their company. I forgot to take photos because we were engrossed in conversation, but everything was delicious. In particular, the Saga beef nigiri and sashimi platter were amazing. I could have eaten as many as I wanted. I have a feeling I'll be going back when I'm in Kitakyushu.

We entered the restaurant with three people after 6:00 PM. Although there were empty seats at the counter and table, we were guided to the back of the restaurant. The air conditioning was on, but it didn't seem to be very effective. We were served beautifully arranged appetizers, which was a nice touch. We were looking forward to delicious fish dishes. We ordered Saga beef steak, assorted tempura, assorted sashimi for three people, steamed hamaguri clams, and fried taiyaki clams. We also had 3-4 cups of hot oolong tea each. The total bill came to around 27,500 yen. The sashimi was delicious, but considering the price, we expected it to be good. The tempura had a moist batter, which was tasty. Personally, I prefer a lighter, crispier batter. The steak was served on a large plate, which was disappointing. By the time it was served, it had cooled down quite a bit, and the meat lost its appeal.

My favorite traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant. I have been coming here since it moved about 8 years ago. This place is clearly unique compared to other restaurants, with an obsessive attention to ingredients and the entertaining machine-gun talk of the owner, George-chan. The restaurant is quite hidden, with no signboard. The interior is elegant, and the menu, written in George-chan's calligraphy, does not have prices listed. So, I sometimes hesitate to order, but the prices are actually very reasonable considering the quality. After exchanging greetings, we toasted with beer! Now, let's try some dishes ^_^ - Appetizer: Young burdock, rice octopus, wild parsley, bamboo shoots, Thai onions, black beans, etc., cooked in a thickened broth. This appetizer is unbelievably delicious and impressive! I've never had such a tasty appetizer before. The flavorful broth is outstanding, with each ingredient being incredibly delicious. I was already amazed from the start. - Sashimi platter: Fugu, whale sashimi, tuna cheek meat, tuna collar, fugu liver, Hokkaido sea urchin, fatty tuna, saury. The fugu was incredibly huge and thinly sliced. The whale sashimi was incredibly tender and sweet with each bite. The tuna collar had a strong tuna flavor and was delicious. The fugu liver was a unique part with a soft and enjoyable texture. The Hokkaido sea urchin was consistently delicious. The fatty tuna was seared, giving it a delightful aroma and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The saury was also large and had a thick texture, unlike any I've had before. Each item was impressive and delicious. - Seasonal vegetable tempura: The tempura here is fried in cottonseed oil, preserving the natural flavors of the ingredients. It was crispy and delicious. On this day, they served taro sprouts, garlic scapes, spring onions, red sweet potatoes, fava beans, and more. I believe it was served with sansho pepper salt. The red sweet potato tempura was outstanding, with a unique texture and a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. I stopped ordering more to go to my next destination, but they were delighted to see me and even offered a little extra service. The tamagoyaki and Lily root wagashi were also delicious. This place is truly the best, and I was reminded of it once again. George-chan's entertaining talk throughout the meal added to the fun of the dining experience. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

For about a year now, I have been regularly taken to a restaurant by a friendly CEO whom I have known for a long time. It's a place I wouldn't go to on my own. The food is incredibly delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant is great!

Lunch was also delicious! Had lunch with my dad and older brother. We ordered a Western-style lunch. It had red shrimp, whole prawns, tuna, oysters, crab cream croquettes, minced cutlets, seafood salad, everything was delicious.
