The upper fillet cutlet set meal costs 1980 yen. I visited around 8:30 pm on a weekday. The restaurant has a counter with 17 seats, a table for 2, and 3 tables for 4 people. The interior is bright and clean with white wooden counters and tables. The counter seats were almost full, with only a few empty seats. The menu offers 13 items including loin cutlet and fillet cutlet set meals, set meals with shrimp fry, and cutlet rice bowls, as well as 7 types of appetizer items like skewered cutlets and horse mackerel fry. The limited quantity upper rib loin cutlet set meal was sold out. I ordered the upper fillet cutlet set meal. It was served in about 10 minutes. The upper fillet cutlet came with shredded cabbage, rice, red miso soup, and pickles. You can have unlimited refills of rice and cabbage. The cutlet was cut into 8 pieces, with a thickness of about 2 cm. The coating was crispy and light, while the meat was slightly pink, very tender, juicy, and had a delicate sweetness and richness. It was very delicious. There were two types of dressing available, yuzu and sesame, and I enjoyed the cabbage with sesame dressing. The red miso soup had clams in it, adding a delicious flavor, and the rice was also tasty.

Around 12:50 on a weekday, there were already more than 10 people lined up when I visited. I was able to enter the restaurant about 20 minutes later. It took about 10 minutes until the food was served, which was faster than I expected. I ordered the large pork cutlet set meal for 1500 yen. The difference between the regular and the large size is that the large size uses "jihamoto" pork. The regular size is usually 120 or 150 grams, but I forgot to ask the exact weight. The large size is 180 grams. Looking at other people's regular size pork cutlets, it seemed quite big, so I think it was around 150 grams. You can have unlimited refills of rice and cabbage, but due to the large portion, I had to pass on that. The cutlet was tender, had good value for money, and was delicious.

I waited a bit (19:30), but it felt like a high-class atmosphere at Tokyo Station! The tempura was crispy even with miso sauce, they fried it right in front of me, the rice was delicious, it was the most delicious! The clam miso soup was made with red miso, I think! They say you can have free rice refills!

I came back again today and ordered the loin set meal with an additional fried horse mackerel with tartar sauce. I saw the person next to me asking for salt, so I followed suit. As always, the tenderness of the loin and the crispiness of the fried horse mackerel were delicious, and I was very satisfied. Of course, I had a refill of cabbage served in a separate dish. The open kitchen and the staff were pleasant to watch.

Popular tonkatsu restaurant located on the 1st floor of Yaenorth in Gransta. Arrived early for lunch, but there was already a line due to the Shinkansen being stopped in Shizuoka because of heavy rain. Managed to order the limited "premium rib roast set" which was delicious with a crispy coating and tender, slightly sweet meat inside. The cabbage was finely shredded and fluffy, and the miso soup with clams was also tasty. Rice and cabbage are refillable.

I arrived at the restaurant on a weekday at 1:00 pm during the Obon holiday. I waited in line for about 20 minutes before being seated, and then my meal was served in less than 10 minutes. It seems to be part of the Wako chain. #Tokyo #Otemachi #Gransta Yaesu North #Yaesu North Dining Hall #Tonkatsu #Pork Loin Cutlet Set Meal #Half Rice #Cabbage #Miso Soup #Fried Horse Mackerel #Lunch

I lined up for about 30 minutes with a colleague who had returned from overseas, but it was worth it! I had tonkatsu that made me think, "This is it!" for the first time in a while! The rice was just as impressive as the tonkatsu. It was delicious. I was quite satisfied with just the rice and pickles. The cabbage was also plentiful and I was very satisfied! I will definitely go again!

Tonkatsu Sushuki: Lunch Limited Hire Katsu Set Meal for 1,150 yen
It was lunchtime, so there were nearly 10 people lined up, but the turnover was relatively fast, and we were able to enter earlier than expected. Free refills for cabbage and rice, the meat was thick and the breading was crispy and delicious!

I have lost count of how many times I have been here. I was really worried when they were renovating, thinking they might not come back. I can't thank them enough for offering such quality at such a reasonable price. I used to avoid pork loin, but after trying it here, I realized how delicious the fat on the loin can be. I would love to buy a bento box from here when I travel on the bullet train.

I was amazed by the tenderness of the meat in the hirekatsu above all. I ordered the miso hirekatsu don, and the sweet sauce, onsen egg, and miso katsu matched well, and I was impressed. It is a bit expensive, but I felt it was worth paying for. The miso soup with clams was also delicious.

I usually just commute between home and work, but I had a rare opportunity to go out during the day. It felt like a business trip. It was hot, but I was feeling excited. I was near Tokyo Station and searching for a place to eat while on the move. In the end, I, who loves tonkatsu, chose a tonkatsu restaurant. I noticed for the first time that there is a gourmet area called Yaesu North. It was just past 11 am when I arrived, but there were already quite a few customers. I entered without waiting and ordered the large pork cutlet set meal. The kitchen was very organized and efficient, with each task clearly divided. The person next to me ordered the premium pork cutlet, that looks good too. And here it is, my pork cutlet. It's quite thick. I heard that you can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. I took a bite. Yes, it's delicious. But there's a bit too much fat for my liking. It might be nice to have salt or wasabi besides just sauce. That way, I feel like I could taste the sweetness of the meat. The miso soup has clams, which I also like. I didn't have much time to eat slowly, so I finished a bit hurriedly. I would have liked to have a little more cabbage, miso soup, and rice as seconds, but oh well. I'll come back again if I have the chance.

I can't forget the fried horse mackerel! So for my third lunch visit, I added pork cutlet and shrimp fry with an additional order of fried horse mackerel. It was almost 3 o'clock when I entered, and there were 2 people in the kitchen and 1 person in the hall. After me, a group of 9 people entered. I watched the staff's efficiency while enjoying my cabbage refill and rice refill. Thank you for your polite service. It seems like I will be coming back to this tonkatsu restaurant for the fried horse mackerel and shrimp. It was delicious!

The heat in Tokyo is intense, and my appetite tends to decrease at night. I must eat to gain energy. I searched for a dinner spot at Yaesu North Exit Dining Street, where every restaurant had a decent line. I observed the customers in line, especially noticing many solo female diners. This time, I chose Tonkatsu Sushuki-san. The portions weren't huge, but the satisfaction level was high. I vaguely remembered visiting this place two times before. To start, I had pickled horse mackerel for 450 yen (tax included) and a lemon sour for 500 yen (tax included) to stimulate my appetite. Then, I ordered the limited quantity premium rib roast cutlet set for 2080 yen (tax included) at just the right moment. It came with unlimited cabbage, rice, and a special table sauce, sesame dressing, and yuzu dressing to enjoy the sweet rib roast. The rice was soft with a flavor-forward taste. Ah, I was thoroughly satisfied.

On my second visit, I ordered the hirekatsu and ebi fry. The ebi fry was plump and delicious, and the hirekatsu was also good. I had two servings of cabbage (served separately) and I am convinced that I will come back regularly! Although the fried horse mackerel from the previous visit was the best, the customer service and the work in the open kitchen have made this restaurant one of my favorites. I will definitely come back again.

Visited around 2:00 pm on Sunday. There is always a long line on weekdays, but I was able to sit down smoothly. After much deliberation, I ordered the pork cutlet set meal and a beer. The cutlet was very tender and juicy, and the sauce was slightly sweet, making it very easy to eat with the rice. It's all-you-can-eat, so I ended up having 3 servings. It's tough to wait in line on weekdays, so I want to go back on a holiday.

I had a late lunch and decided to treat myself with the premium pork loin cutlet set with an additional horse mackerel fry at a total of 2,200 yen. It was my first time dining here and I was impressed by the delicious tonkatsu, just like the one I had at "Tonkatsu Hajime" in Nihonbashi. The pork loin cutlet was crispy and light, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The horse mackerel fry was also a hit, with firm and flavorful flesh. I was pleased that they served extra cabbage on a separate plate. It would be perfect if they offered salt, soy sauce, or tartar sauce for the horse mackerel fry (I'm a bit picky). I imagine the shrimp fry comes with tartar sauce. I plan to try the pork tenderloin and shrimp fry next time. I will definitely come back!

Outside the ticket gates of Tokyo Station, there is a free passage from Marunouchi towards Yaesu. Located on B1 floor of Kurobei Yokocho, above that on the 1st floor is Yaekita Shokudo. There you will find Tonkatsu Sushuki. There was a line of about 10 people, but the turnover was good and we were seated in about 10 minutes. They take your order while you wait in line, so the service is quick. For lunch, I had the Rosu Katsu set for 1,150 yen with a smaller portion of rice. The evening Rosu Katsu set is 1,480 yen, which is 330 yen cheaper. The katsu was crispy with good oil drainage. The miso soup was red dashi with clams. The red dashi had less acidity compared to those in the Tokai region, making it more universally appealing. You can get refills for rice and cabbage. Even though I ordered less rice, the normal portion might have been fine. The amount served is not excessive to avoid wastage. They also have bowl menu starting from 1,080 yen, which seems like a good deal. I will definitely go back again!

Tonkatsu Sushuki, I used it for dinner after finishing my Tokyo business trip. I arrived at the restaurant around 5:30 PM, and the table seats were already full. I was seated at the counter, but before 6 PM, even the counter was full. I wanted to order the limited quantity top loin cutlet set, but unfortunately it was sold out. So I ordered the following instead, with hopes of trying the top loin cutlet next time:
- Top loin cutlet set @1880 yen
- Bottled beer (Kirin Classic Lager/medium bottle) @580 yen
The tonkatsu arrived in about 15 minutes. It had a slightly coarse bread crumb coating, with a nice golden color and a traditional appearance. The meat had a good texture, with a hint of sweetness from the fat. The sauce was on the sweeter side, making it a classic tonkatsu. The rice was cooked just right, which I personally liked. The rice itself was ordinary, but the cooking was done well, making it very delicious. The pickles were tasty and went well with the rice, perfect as a side dish for the beer. The cabbage came with two dressings, sesame and yuzu, and you can get refills of rice and cabbage. I think this restaurant offers traditional tonkatsu of good quality at a reasonable price. The fact that it's located near Tokyo Station is also a plus. Next time, I definitely want to try the top loin cutlet.

This popular restaurant always has a long line. But if you go at a slightly different time, you might be surprised to find a shorter queue. The pork cutlet set meal has been reduced to under ¥1200, which is budget-friendly. The cutlet is thick, with just the right amount of fat, and the pork is tender. I definitely want to try the fillet cutlet as well. If it's a day off, I would have liked to have a beer too.

I have been trying to avoid oily foods recently, but I have been curious about this highly-rated restaurant for a while and decided to visit for lunch. Luckily, there was only a 5-minute wait to get in. I ordered the pork cutlet bowl while being mindful of the oil. The broth was very refined, not too strong, with just the right amount of seasoning - it was delicious. Next time, I'll try the pork loin.

On a holiday afternoon, I decided to have lunch at Tokyo Station. Since it looked like it might rain, I didn't want to wander too far from the station. This time, I decided to try Tonkatsu Sukiya at Yaekita Shokudo. I arrived at the restaurant a little before opening time. About 15 minutes before opening, people started lining up, and by the time they opened, there were about 10 people waiting. More customers arrived later, and by the time we left, there were 5 or 6 people waiting. They took our order while we were waiting. I ordered the Top Rib Loin Katsu set, and my wife ordered the Top Loin Katsu set. We also ordered the marinated horse mackerel. The marinated horse mackerel arrived quickly. The sweet and sour vinegar flavor was not too strong, making it easy to eat. The flavor of the horse mackerel was also nice, with just the right amount of seasoning. After a short wait, the tonkatsu arrived. On the table, there were tonkatsu sauce, sesame dressing, and yuzu dressing. The mustard was served on a plate. I prefer to eat delicious tonkatsu with salt, so they brought me some salt. The Top Rib Loin Katsu was cut a bit thick, allowing the flavor of the meat to come through. The coating was crispy and delicious. Since you can get extra rice and cabbage, I asked for an extra serving of cabbage. My wife seemed to enjoy the Top Loin Katsu as well. I was able to enjoy delicious tonkatsu near the station. Thank you for the meal.
