I visited Yakiniku Kitan Hozoji for the first time for a dinner meeting with a customer. Although I had visited the Minamisenba location several times when it first opened, it has now become so popular that it's difficult to make a reservation. We reserved the Hozoji course for the second seating at 8:30 PM. The course included:
[Appetizer]
- Seasonal vegetables, homemade namul, and kimchi
[Sashimi]
- Assorted wagyu sashimi, wagyu yukke with raw egg yolk, wagyu toro taccarbi, aged hiuchi with consomme jelly
[Raw Vegetables]
- Chorogi salad
[Aged Salted Tongue]
- Premium aged tongue, aged prime tongue, wagyu tongue geta
[Aged Salt-grilled Meat]
- Aged wagyu ichibo meat, aged lamb sirloin
- Assorted seasonal grilled vegetables (5 kinds)
- Freshly cooked white rice
- Aged sauce-grilled meat assortment (4 kinds)
- Recommended hormone of the day
[Finishing Dish]
- Sudachi cold dish
[Dessert]
- Today's dessert
The aged meat had a moist and tender texture with no hint of the usual strong flavor of tongue. Despite the large cuts, the meat was surprisingly easy to chew and literally melted in the mouth. The sashimi was also exceptional, with a concentrated umami flavor and a delightful sweetness. The hormone dishes were delicious without any unpleasant smell. Thanks to the high-quality meat, I didn't feel heavy or bloated even after eating a lot. Since it's usually difficult to make a reservation, I look forward to challenging myself to dine here again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I chose the Hasshoji course. I was worried if there would be enough food for my boyfriend's birthday, but it was more than enough! My boyfriend was already full and looked uncomfortable, haha. The quality of the meat was great, very different from what we usually eat. You can't eat a lot of it! It was delicious. We also ordered a dessert plate with a message and fireworks added, and we were very satisfied. I highly recommend it for special occasions. The private room was cozy, the staff were friendly, so I will definitely go back!

I visited Kitann in Hozanji because I had a good experience at the Kitann in Shinsaibashi. I ordered a course and enjoyed delicious meat dishes as follows:
- Seasonal appetizers: kimchi, seasonal vegetables, homemade namul
- Today's recommended 3 kinds of wagyu beef sashimi
- Chorogi salad
- Aged beef tongue: aged salted tongue, wagyu tongue geta
- Aged wagyu rib meat: aged lamb loin
- Seasonal grilled vegetables platter (5 kinds)
- Freshly cooked white rice
- Aged beef barbecue sauce (4 kinds): aged wagyu hane shita, aged wagyu harami, aged wagyu misuji, with marinated egg yolk
- Today's recommended hormone dish: top mino, fatty tet-chan
- Sudachi cold noodles
For dessert, you can choose from egg tart, ice cream, or chocolate terrine. Everything was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed putting the marinated egg yolk on the rice. It's typically meant to be eaten with meat sukiyaki-style, but... Overall, there wasn't a significant difference compared to Shinsaibashi, so I would like to continue using either based on reservations and location convenience.

The location was a bit difficult to find for tourists, but we managed to arrive safely and enjoyed the casual course. We started with appetizers, followed by delicious grilled meat with salt and sauce, then finished with Sudachi cold noodles and ice cream for dessert. When I made the initial reservation, the person who answered the phone told me that they had only reserved a table and I could decide on the menu when I arrived at the restaurant. However, about an hour later, I received a call saying, "I thought you had given us an answer because it was hard to get through on the phone for a while." They then said, "If you haven't decided on the menu yet, it's fine to do so when you come to the restaurant." The change in tone was disappointing, as it felt like they were trying to push their convenience onto the customer, which is not a professional way to handle things. Despite this, the food was delicious. I had reserved a table at the Kitantei Hozonji-cho store and enjoyed solo BBQ. I couldn't resist ordering an additional harami (skirt steak) because it was so tasty!

I couldn't take pictures of all the dishes, but the aged meat was very tender and delicious. The wine we had with it was easy to drink and paired perfectly with the meat. The staff at the restaurant was very attentive and chose a wine for me since my preferred choice was not available. It was a lovely gesture. The service from all the staff was pleasant, and the food was delicious. It's a restaurant that I would love for many people to experience, but the difficulty in getting a reservation is something to consider.

The beef tongue bowl was delicious before, so this time I tried the beef tongue bowl. It's nice to be able to relax in a private room. The beef tongue bowl is a bit over 2000 yen, but the other options are around 1500 yen, so it's quite reasonable. Nowadays, even ramen can easily cost around 1500 yen, so having a private room with this kind of meal is great. The beef tongue bowl is topped with a lot of green onions, which doesn't look as photogenic as the beef rib bowl, but that's okay. There are about 6-7 slices of beef tongue, and if you get extra rice, it might not be enough, but the green onion seasoning is so good that it makes the rice very tasty. Also, the beef tendon stew in the small side dish has a good amount of volume, and it goes well with the rice. I'm also curious about the beef tongue bowl that doesn't have the toppings. It's great that they serve lunch until 2:30 pm, which is a longer operating hours.

I had the "Aged Black Wagyu Ribeye Tataki and Sukiyaki Assorted Platter" for lunch. The ribeye was incredibly tender and packed with rich flavor, the more I chewed, the more delicious it became! The sukiyaki was not too overpowering in taste, just right. The short shirataki noodles were well-seasoned. The soft simmered dish in the small bowl was so tender and flavorful that I ended up putting it on rice and pouring hittsumi-bushi broth over it, which was a delightful combination. The meat in this bento box, along with the egg yolk, was truly delicious! When I cut into it, I was like "Wow!" Personally, I found that warming up the ribeye in the hittsumi-bushi made it even more tender and tasty. The ambiance of the restaurant was great, and they even had mouthwash in the restroom! I was seated in a private room meant for two people, which was perfect for someone like me who enjoys privacy and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, gave me an umbrella bag, and provided detailed explanations. For 1580 yen, I was extremely satisfied with this meal! I definitely want to go back again.

Visited with 5 people. We were guided to the second floor where we took off our shoes and entered a cozy private room for 6 people. We asked for recommendations and ordered a la carte. The Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) was incredibly delicious and a must-try. The assortment of kimchi, especially the dried radish kimchi, had a nice texture and was my favorite. The Napa cabbage kimchi had a more mild taste that was easy for Japanese palates to enjoy. The aged beef tongue had a different texture depending on how it was cooked, but I personally prefer lightly searing both sides until the color changes slightly. It was simply delicious, especially when squeezed with sudachi (Japanese citrus). I wish the tongue was cut a bit thinner towards the end. The Harami (skirt steak) was easy to eat and beautifully presented, lightly seared on the surface without overcooking. It had a great texture and rich flavor. The Hiyu (beef rib) was incredibly tender and melted in the mouth, with a nice sweetness from the fat. The Yakiniku (grilled beef) platter was a bit pricey at 3000 yen for 2 slices, but it was worth it for the quality of the meat, likely from the sirloin. It was served with a refreshing sauce with grated daikon radish. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience with other delicious cuts of meat that I couldn't identify as I left the ordering to someone else this time.

I used it for lunch! I chose the Ichibo-only option and I was very satisfied! Usually, these kinds of dishes come with just a few pieces of meat and end up with leftover rice, but there were about 12 pieces? (I'm not sure) included in this one ✨ And there was even sukiyaki meat underneath, so the cost performance was really good. I want to use it for dinner next time!

My son wanted to eat at Hitsujisawa, so we went there. This time we had a private room for two people. We ordered the same as last time, the Black Wagyu Aged Rib Meat Tataki and Sukiyaki-style Mixed Rice Bowl. It was delicious as always! I'm not good with words, sorry... Eating Sukiyaki-style and finishing with the rice bowl was also delicious. My son said he had been here twice with his friends (lol). Usually, he likes the restaurants I take him to and ends up going with his friends. This seems to be one of his favorite places. Next time, I wonder if we should try a different menu... but in the end, I think we'll end up ordering the same thing again. Thank you for the meal!

Visited for lunch on a weekday. Taste: I was happy to eat good meat at a reasonable price! While it may not be the best meat, it was quite delicious for the price. I think they use good quality ingredients. I would like to try the salted tongue as well. Atmosphere: It was not crowded on a weekday, so we were seated right away. We visited as a party of two and were seated in a private room, which allowed us to enjoy our meal leisurely. Cost performance: I think the lunch menu is very good.

Popular yakiniku restaurant located at the entrance of Kitamichi Zenshoji Yokocho. It gets very crowded during lunchtime because you can get a great deal on a meat bento. You can make a reservation for lunch, but you must order a course if you choose to do so. Please note that you cannot reserve the lunch special bento. This time, we made a reservation for a course. I mentioned my dislikes and allergies in advance, but there was a mistake in the provided dishes. However, they quickly brought a corrected version when I pointed it out. Their customer service is excellent. The meat was tender and delicious. The rice with pickled egg was also a nice touch. It was delicious! I will definitely go back again!

I forgot to take a picture of the main meat... I had enough points on Tabelog, so I treated myself to a lunch. I have visited before for the regular meat bento lunch, but this time I had the yakiniku course. The meat was of course delicious, but the yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) was outstanding! I will definitely come back again after earning more points!笑

The meat sushi for the appetizer was different from your average izakaya. In this era of expensive ingredients, it was a treat to enjoy a dish made with beautiful egg yolks without hesitation. Of course, the taste of the egg was exquisite, and the meat was no exception. The yukhoe melted in the mouth, and the grilled meat was delicious as well. The staff was courteous and provided excellent service. I would love to go back for a special occasion. It seems like they also serve lunch.

I visited this restaurant for lunch for the first time, which I found on Tabelog near my workplace. It is located near Hozenji Temple, where there used to be Sebentango. The interior of the restaurant seems to consist entirely of private rooms, and I was guided to a room for 6 people. Although I was dining alone, I ordered the Aged Rib Meat Aburi Sukiyaki Gozen (1580 yen) and enjoyed it by adding dashi in the style of hitsumabushi. It was a luxurious and satisfying moment.

- Date and Time/Crowdedness: I made a reservation for 1:00 PM on a weekday. Since it was a private room, I am not sure about the crowd level.
- Location, Parking: Located a 2-minute walk from Namba Station B18 exit, down a narrow alley.
- Actual Meal Experience: I had the Kaiseki lunch course in a private room for 5,500 yen. It included 3 types of kimchi, Chorogi salad, Ichibo beef tartare, aged tongue with seasonal grilled vegetables, recommended aged meat, fresh hormone, rice, pickled egg yolk, pickles, and miso soup. I also had a soft drink for 550 yen. The restaurant had a stylish atmosphere with jazz music playing. The private room made it comfortable to dine. The seating seemed to be on a 1 hour 30 minute limit. All the meats were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the thinly sliced meats. The sauce was slightly sweet with a hint of acidity, which I liked. It's a popular restaurant for a reason, and overall, it was a great dining experience! At night, they use aged black wagyu beef, but the lunch special of aged wagyu beef at this high-end yakiniku restaurant is incredibly delicious! It is operated by the discerning palate group, with Hiroki Takeshita as the owner. Hiroki Takeshita was born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1976. His hometown of Miyakonojo is a thriving area for livestock farming. Inspired by the livestock industry he grew up around, he decided to pursue a career in cooking. He started his career at a French restaurant in a hotel in Osaka. After six years of training, he transitioned into the world of meat. After owning a restaurant in Kitashinchi for 10 years, he opened the Hozoji store in Minamisenba following the success of Yakiniku Koshitsu. He continues to expand his reach as an owner and propose new ways to enjoy meat. This restaurant opened on April 3, 2022. The location is about 40 meters north of Hozoji. The nearest station is Namba Station, a 3-minute walk away. The opening hours are 11:00-15:00 for lunch and 17:00-23:00 for dinner, with irregular holidays. There are 40 seats, all in private rooms. Reservations can be made online through Tabelog and Hitosara, as well as by phone. The popular lunch menu is the black wagyu aged ribeye tataki steak bento, which is what I ordered. There are usually long lines during lunchtime, especially on holidays, so it's recommended to go before opening time to get in on the first round. There are many options like the meat bento and hitsumabushi, but this one stood out as exceptionally delicious. They also serve freshly cooked rice, and everything from the rice, sauce, to the meat was perfect in the bento. I couldn't help but think about trying dinner as well, so I made a reservation for that day. I will definitely visit again! [Order] ◻︎ Black Wagyu Aged Ribeye Tataki Steak Bento 1,891 yen

[Received Menu] Matsusaka beef sirloin and aged tenderloin course (¥13,200) tax included ・ Kimchi Namul assortment ・ Chorogi salad ・ Fresh senmai sashimi ・ Toro taku ・ Yukke ・ Tangkalbi ・ Aged tongue ・ Ichibo ・ Harami ・ Sirloin yakiniku ・ Hiuchi ・ Hanesita ・ Here ・ Lamp ・ Cold noodles ・ Ice cream [Impression] This place is located on the second floor of Kitani In. While Kitani In offers a special counter space, the second floor here is a casual yakiniku spot! Even though it's casual, you can enjoy yakiniku in private rooms, making it perfect for a date. The Kitani Group is known for their aged meat, which enhances the flavor and richness of the meat. I especially like the aged tongue! The quality of all the meats is excellent, and the portions are generous. It's great that you can try various cuts in small portions. Definitely worth a visit!

Yakiniku Kitann's lunch is excellent value for money! There is a concierge at the entrance, giving the restaurant an upscale feel. They guide you to a private room even if you're dining alone, making you feel a bit guilty. I tried a variety of dishes, but I highly recommend the Ichibo steak and sukiyaki combination set! You won't find this quality of meat at this price often! It is likely that this restaurant is located on the site of the famous restaurant, Fuufuzenzai, in Hozenji Yokocho. It's a place with a long history in Minami! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had been curious about this place for a while, but there was always a long line whenever I tried to visit. I was planning to go to another steak restaurant nearby, but it was also crowded on the 29th, so I decided to try my luck here. Surprisingly, there was no wait at all. The restaurant had a luxurious feel with all private rooms. I was torn between the aged rib-eye steak tartare and the aged salted beef tongue, but I chose the beef tongue. I was seated in a room for six people all by myself. The food was served promptly and looked incredibly delicious. The beef tongue was beautifully arranged with layers of green onions, and it felt like uncovering a treasure chest when I moved the onions aside. I enjoyed the beef tongue with rice, and finished with a tea-infused rice bowl similar to hitsumabushi. All this for only 1,680 yen, which was cheaper than the usual steak restaurants I had in mind. I was extremely satisfied. Next time, I will definitely try the tartare. Taste: 5.0, Ambiance: 4.5, Value for money: 4.5, Service: 4.5, Portion size: 4.0, Variety of menu: 3.5, Customer service: 4.0. It's been a while since I visited Kitan. This place is so good that I feel like going there regularly! The meat lunch here is incredibly voluminous and delicious. I keep coming back for more. This time, I went on a weekday for lunch, and surprisingly there was no waiting time! It's a first for me after visiting more than 5 times and always waiting for over an hour. I was so happy! When I left, there was a line, of course. The interior is calm and stylish with a traditional Japanese atmosphere. I tried the shabu-shabu and sukiyaki combo for the first time, and it was delicious! But personally, I recommend just the shabu-shabu. The meat is so tender with a bit of chewiness, and the sweet and savory sauce is amazing. They also serve a side dish of Nara beef stew, which is also delicious. I highly recommend this place!
