A friend mentioned that they were curious about the limited-time ramen being offered at Osaka Ohsho, so I decided to visit the branch in Nishikasai. I tried the Kuroi Chuka Soba (Black Chinese Noodles) from Takaida (¥750), along with a side of small rice and 3 gyoza (¥180 + ¥190), which ended up being quite a feast. The ramen is a reinterpretation of the Takaida style, known as Takaida-kei, by Osaka Ohsho. I'm not entirely sure what defines the Takaida style, but I used to visit a popular Takaida shop called "Menya 7.5Hz" in Shinbashi. It's a shame that shop is no longer around. Now, onto the Kuroi Chuka Soba. As the name suggests, the black soup has a soy sauce base with a peppery kick that reminds me of what I used to eat at Menya 7.5Hz. While I don't taste much of the dashi, the strong soy sauce flavor with the accent of pepper gives it an addictive quality. The thick noodles have a decent portion even without upsizing. I personally prefer them on the softer side, but I wouldn't mind trying them firmer. The plentiful green onions provide a crisp texture that pairs well with the soup, and the chashu would be great with rice. The gyoza, however, was unnecessary (laughs). Although I'm not familiar with the original taste, this bowl of ramen brought back fond memories of Menya 7.5Hz. I might come back again to try it!

I was drawn to the menu by the delicious-looking photos, but what came out was quite meager, to the point where I thought they brought the wrong dish. The color was completely different. The taste was okay, but the portion was small. The eggs were also overcooked. Lately, there have been a lot of misses with the limited-time specials.

The lunch options in Nishikasai are starting to run out, so I decided to visit Osaka Ohsho for the first time in over 10 years. I was originally craving for gyoza, but I ended up choosing the Tanmen and Half Fried Rice set for its value. I thought about adding gyoza, but it would have driven up the cost quite a bit. However, as I write this, I realize there was a 100 yen discount coupon for gyoza that I missed. Oh well... Now, about the Tanmen. It wasn't too salty, and the sweetness of the vegetables spread nicely, making it quite delicious. The slightly thicker noodles complemented the soup well. Although it lacked meat, it might have been even more satisfying with gyoza on the side. The Half Fried Rice was a decent size, with a slightly moist texture that was easy to eat. The set cost 730 yen, which is reasonable in terms of cost-performance, but overall, the prices seemed a bit higher than expected for a chain restaurant. Nevertheless, the flavors were quite solid, so I might come back to try other menu items in the future.

Visited the chain restaurant "Gyoza Chinese Dining" near my home for lunch today to avoid crowds. The CEO of Osaka Ohsho mentioned on the TV show Gacchiri Monday that Osaka Ohsho was founded by the owner of Gyoza Ohsho. I tried the "Original Pan-Fried Gyoza (including tax: 265 yen)" and the "Chinese Rice Bowl (small, including tax: 650 yen)" to warm up in the sudden cold weather. The Chinese filling with pork, shrimp, cuttlefish, cabbage, carrots, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and greens was delicious with a soy sauce flavor. The gyoza skin was chewy and the meat and vegetable filling was tasty. I left a little rice in the Chinese Rice Bowl. It was delicious.

At Osho in the north exit of Nishi-Kasai Station, I was seated at the counter on the first floor since I was dining alone. I ordered 5 water dumplings and shrimp with mayonnaise as I was just a little hungry. The water dumplings were delicious and chewy, but the shrimp had a slightly thick coating.

I went to Adam's Family Indian restaurant for their chicken biryani at 7:40 pm, but they were only doing takeout at that time. So, I decided to go to the nearby Osaka Ohsho instead. I ordered the fried rice and dumplings set for 980 yen including tax, which came with egg fried rice, dumplings for two, and seaweed soup. I asked if I could pay the price difference to change the set to char siu fried rice, but they said it was not possible, so I stuck with the egg fried rice set. The egg fried rice had a good balance of ingredients and seasoning, with a nostalgic flavor typical of Osaka Ohsho. The dumplings had a perfect crispy sear on them, unlike the steamed white dumplings from Manchuria, making them visually appealing and delicious. The total for the items ordered separately would have been 1,070 yen, so getting the set with a 90 yen discount was a good deal. I think it would be beneficial for the restaurant to offer a discount on any combination of fried rice and dumplings, as it would make customers happy and potentially increase sales. Changing the program on the cash register should be easy to do.

This is a Chinese chain restaurant located about a 3-minute walk from Nishi-Kasai Station. I ordered the fluffy and creamy Tianjin rice (¥540) and the original grilled dumplings (¥265, discounted to ¥165 with a Tabelog coupon). The dishes were ready in about 8 minutes. The Tianjin rice came with seaweed soup. The Tianjin rice was indeed fluffy and creamy, with a nice balance of egg and sauce that was not too sweet or sour. It was simple but delicious. The grilled dumplings were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, packed with meaty goodness. I enjoyed them with the simple combination of dumpling sauce and chili oil. I often visit chain restaurants, and while I had only been to the Minami-Gyotoku branch of Osaka Ohsho a few times, I will definitely consider visiting again in the future.

After work, I had lunch around 2:00 PM in Nishi-Kasai. I had trouble deciding where to eat, but ended up going to a reliable restaurant. When I arrived around 2:00 PM, there were only two customers at the counter. I ordered double gyoza and fried rice. The gyoza was crispy and delicious, and the fried rice had a nice charred flavor. It was really good.

Located along the Rainbow Road near the north exit of Nishi-Kasai Station on the Tozai Line is a gyoza restaurant next to the Chinese restaurant Nichigaya. Order: Original pan-fried gyoza x2, rice. The gyoza has a crispy texture on the outside, cooked to perfection. The skin is thin, just the way I like it. When eaten with vinegar and pepper, it's delicious. Two servings of gyoza is quite filling. It was delicious. Thank you.

I visited a branch in Nishikasai before lunch for a scheduled appointment, and after finishing my business, I decided to have lunch at a nearby "Osaka Ohsho" restaurant. I was intrigued by a limited-time menu that a beautiful writer from Rocket News had reported on. Since "Osaka Ohsho" is not as common as other chain restaurants, I took this opportunity to visit the branch in Nishikasai. I ordered the "Passion Oidama Katsu Don" from the menu, which was a Chinese-style katsu dish with a ramen broth base. The restaurant always comes up with interesting and long-named limited-time menu items that attract customers. The previous limited-time menu item, the embarrassing named omelet rice, was so popular that it had its period extended. Overall, the experience at "Osaka Ohsho" was enjoyable, and I would rate it 6 out of 10.

Counter seats and box seats. I wonder if there is a second floor. With 3 people in the kitchen and 1 person in the hall, it was like a battlefield during lunchtime. Many customers had to wait for quite a while. I had the "Rousu Tenshin Chahan" for 875 yen, which is a limited-time menu. The fried rice was delicious and fluffy with plenty of finely sliced pork in a sweet and savory sauce. It had a satisfying taste and looked good. However, it felt a bit overpriced for the taste alone.

This is Osaka Ohsho Nishikasai branch, located about a 5-minute walk from Nishikasai Station. I visited around 8 pm on the last day of a long weekend and it was not crowded. I was seated at a table on the first floor (there is also a second floor). I ordered dishes like shrimp mayo, stir-fried bean sprouts and leeks, and boiled dumplings. It was nice to be able to enjoy Chinese cuisine at a reasonable price.

Just before 2pm on a holiday in Nishikasai. I was in the mood for gyoza and beer, so I headed to Osho. Surprisingly, it was my first time here. It's located right by the station. The interior is long with table seating on the right and a counter on the left. There's a cashier area in the front and seating on the 2nd floor as well. The table seating was quite busy, while the counter was empty. The staff were friendly, but it was a bit cold near the entrance. I sat at the counter and ordered the following: Draft beer x2 (430 yen each), pickled vegetables (190 yen), original pan-fried gyoza 6 pieces (240 yen) (all prices excluding tax). The beer was Asahi Super Dry. I would have preferred Lager, but I was grateful for the Super Dry compared to the standard Premium Malt's. The pickled vegetables were large and tasty, a great snack. And the gyoza. When my husband was asked by his mother to bring home "fresh gyoza," he bought some random ones from the supermarket, only to be told, "When it comes to gyoza, it has to be Osho." What kind of gyoza is capable of captivating that lady? These gyoza were small but perfectly crispy on the outside, with a good appearance. The filling was modest but incredibly juicy. The quality for this price is unbeatable. If you can take home fresh gyoza at this price, there's nothing to complain about. I watched a popular anime on VOD while relaxing and enjoying the gyoza. Eventually, the counter seats got crowded with local solo drinkers and young people, so I asked for the bill. It came to just over 1,300 yen including tax. It's a bit more expensive than Nichiya, but the gyoza is delicious, so it's worth it. In any case, I've been feeling more and more like "as long as I can drink, it's all good." Thank you for the meal.

On a holiday when eating lunch with family, opinions are divided on what to eat. Some want something warm like ramen, others prefer fried rice. Some want a place with alcohol, while others prefer a smoke-free environment. Some want fried food, while others want to eat vegetables. When faced with such diverse requests, we always rely on [restaurant name]. Today, it was cold and rainy, so I ordered the thick and hot Sanratan noodles. As expected from a major chain, the hot soup was just right, and the noodles did not get too soft. They seemed designed to expand when soaked in the soup. They were a bit firm at first, but as I ate, they swelled up just enough, and were delicious. The kids each had their favorite Tianjin rice bowl and fried rice, while my wife had the mapo ramen. Thank you for the meal, we will visit again.

Within walking distance of Nishi-Kasai Station. I went for lunch and had the Suratanmen, fried rice, and gyoza. There weren't many people on the second floor at first, but it gradually got busier as lunchtime approached. Mostly families. The gyoza and fried rice were delicious, but the Suratanmen was not as tasty as I had imagined. It's hard to say whether it's better than Gyoza no Ohsho.

West Koshien Osaka Oushou. Came with my son around 7pm. We were seated on the second floor, where there were other families with children, creating a sense of comfort. The first floor was fully occupied. More than half of the second floor was also filled. Cheers with beer and orange juice! Ordered a kids ramen, double gyoza ramen set, and the discounted water gyoza (190 yen) offered on certain days! Kids ramen arrived quickly, followed by the water gyoza in about 2 minutes! They go well with beer! The ramen set arrived promptly. The gyoza had a solid flavor, perfect crispiness, and a good size. The ramen was a slightly light soy sauce flavor. Oh, Wednesday special - 190 yen for a highball! Couldn't resist ordering it! Feeling full and satisfied. It's nice that they offer different discounted dishes based on the day of the week. Thank you for the meal, will definitely visit again.

I visited at 13:20 on a weekday with 3 people. We were directed to the second floor. However, no one came to take our order after we were seated. Since no one came for a long time, I had to press the call button on the table to place our order. The gyoza was delicious, but the ramen was not tasty. The cashier was friendly and cheerful, but I won't be visiting again.

On the weekend, my family had some errands near Nishi-Kasai Station, and it was around lunchtime, so I asked the kids what they wanted to eat. They immediately said "ramen and gyoza!" We decided to go to Osaka Ohsho, located close to the station. It was a bit past 12:00, so I was worried about the crowds, but we were able to find seats without any trouble. With young kids, waiting can be a bit tricky, so we quickly placed our orders and waited. The younger child had a kids' ramen for 190 yen, the older child had wonton noodles for 560 yen, I had a large ramen for 550 yen, and my wife had char siu noodles (forgot the price). We also ordered 2 pieces of pan-fried gyoza and 1 piece of boiled gyoza for 260 yen each. Despite all of us having the same soup, we still ended up sharing and drinking each other's soup, which was quite funny. My son discovered the recommended "way to eat gyoza" on the menu and decided to try it out. First, he tried it plain, then with gyoza sauce, then with plenty of spicy chili oil (which he skipped), and finally with miso sauce. He really liked the miso sauce and said the boiled gyoza tasted better with it. The classic flavors were consistently delicious as always! If I were alone, I might also choose the eggplant miso stir-fry or the gyoza set meal. We all enjoyed our meal together and look forward to visiting again.

I revisited a Chinese restaurant chain near my house in March 2019 to try their highly recommended "Fluffy and Creamy Tianjin Rice," which is a favorite of the Japanese TV personality Mizutomo Asami. I ordered the dish with less rice, priced at 490 yen, and also the "Original Pan-Fried Dumplings" for 260 yen. The Fluffy and Creamy Tianjin Rice consists of fluffy egg omelette on top of rice sprinkled with white sesame seeds, covered in a thick sauce. The omelette had a soft and fluffy texture, and the sauce was smooth and gently flavored. The dumplings, made with domestic vegetables, were consistently delicious as always. This was my first time trying "Tianjin Rice," which is not found in Tianjin, China where I have visited before, and it unexpectedly turned out to be very delicious. Although I am not a fan of Mizutomo Asami, her recommendation as a food lover was definitely spot on. It was a delightful meal.

About 4 years ago, I heard good things about the dumplings at this restaurant so I decided to try it out. I vaguely remember ordering either fried rice or ramen along with the dumplings, but I can't recall for sure. What I do remember clearly is that the dumplings were small in size. Despite that, they were delicious and I left satisfied. If I have the chance, I would like to visit this restaurant again.
