I had been interested in a kebab shop that I saw on Tabelog. It's only for takeout, but there are tables and chairs in front of the shop, so you can eat freshly made kebabs there. It's located on the pedestrian heaven West Radial Eurod, so there are several benches set up, which is convenient. They offer kebabs in rolls and pitas, and I chose the falafel sandwich for 600 yen. It was my first time trying falafel, which is like a vegetable croquette. I also ordered a milk tea (chai) for 300 yen. They gave me the drink first and asked me to wait while sitting down. The milk tea was just right, not too sweet! After waiting for about 10 minutes, they handed me the falafel sandwich and said I could pay after eating. It was a nice gesture. The falafel sandwich was about 1.5 times bigger than I had imagined! It had shredded cabbage and tomatoes in it, and the seasoning was ketchup-based. It was very satisfying with plenty of ingredients. The falafel was quite delicious for my first time trying it. They also accepted electronic money like PayPay.

Good evening everyone! Do you like Middle Eastern food? I'm sorry for starting off with such high energy... I just really love Middle Eastern cuisine. One of my favorite dishes is Koshari, which is commonly eaten in countries like Egypt. It's similar to sobameshi in Japan, with rice topped with pasta, specifically a smaller type of pasta called vermicelli, and cooked beans in tomato sauce, all topped with a generous amount of fried onions. It's a carb-loaded national dish that is absolutely delicious. In Tokyo, there is a Koshari specialty shop where you can try authentic Koshari, but it's hard to replicate the taste without special spices like Za'atar. At this kebab shop run by Abdou, they also sell falafel at festivals and are regulars at Fuji Rock. They speak great Japanese, work efficiently, and are always busy taking orders on Uber. The shop itself is small and unassuming, like a lottery ticket counter, but it's always bustling with customers. I found the shop, eagerly ordered Koshari, tried the freshly made falafel on the spot, and then took my food to go. I also ordered a non-alcoholic Middle Eastern drink called Barbican with pomegranate flavor, which I used to drink a lot in the past. I sat outside the shop in the light rain, waiting for my food, enjoying the Middle Eastern news on the TV inside. The owner asked me if I could handle a bit of spiciness, and when I said yes, he gave me a green sauce in a bottle, which turned out to be just the right amount of heat. It was probably jalapeno sauce, and it was perfect. The falafel was also delicious, especially when freshly fried. I love Middle Eastern food so much that I watch a lot of local cooking YouTubers and even try to make some dishes at home, although they are not authentic. Eating falafel made by someone else was truly a treat. I was considering buying some hummus on my way out, and the owner seemed happy that I appreciated good food. I got a loyalty card as well. Apparently, their chicken rice is also very popular, so I'll look forward to trying it next time! As I waved goodbye, the owner said, "You really appreciate good food, don't you? You're a true foodie!" Even if you can't fly Emirates, you can still enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine in the corner of Tokyo!

After arriving past 12 o'clock, the restaurant was still closed. Even after waiting until 12:20, it did not open. I had to settle for a fried chicken bowl at a nearby restaurant for lunch. When I went back after 1 o'clock, it was finally open. I asked if they could make the Koshari dish that other reviewers couldn't get, and they said they could. When I went to pick it up around 5:00, it was ready for me. The Koshari dish consists of rice, macaroni, soba noodles, and beans cooked together, topped with a mild tomato sauce. The flavors are subtle and it's easy to eat. It takes time to prepare because of the various ingredients, so if you let them know in advance, they will have it ready for you. I would like to try other Egyptian dishes from this restaurant.

The other day, I visited NILEX KEBAB, a renowned restaurant on the west radiation street of Hachioji Station, known as the Alex Ochoa of the kebab world. Alex Ochoa, originally from Miami, Florida, was a professional baseball player in the MLB before coming to Japan to play for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. His performance was exceptional, much like the top-notch service and flavors at NILEX KEBAB. The chef's skills are reminiscent of Ochoa's strong arm in the outfield, and the taste of the kebabs is like hitting a cycle in baseball - perfectly balanced and satisfying. Just like Ochoa was known for his laser beam throws, NILEX KEBAB's performance in serving up delicious kebabs is top-notch and truly impressive.

The other day, I visited the famous NILEX KEBAB located a 5-minute walk from Hachioji Station on the JR Chuo Line, Yokohama Line, Hachiko Line, and Yamanote Line. I tried the chicken kebab, which was amazing. This place truly lives up to its reputation as a top player in the kebab world. It's a muscle dish that makes you want to challenge it occasionally!

The treat I received was a chicken kebab made by Abdou, the owner of an Egyptian restaurant called Nilex Kebab along the Hachioji Radiation Road. You can choose from mild, sweet and spicy, medium spicy, and spicy options. I prefer the medium spicy one. The grilled chicken chunks were plentiful and the sandwich also included shredded cabbage, tomatoes, tangy homemade sauce, and mayonnaise. Although the pita bread was a bit soggy by the time I ate it, the chicken had a good flavor and the balance of tangy sauce and spicy seasoning was just right. The restaurant is takeout only, but if you can find a bench outside, I recommend trying the freshly made kebabs. Abdou, the cheerful Egyptian owner, adds to the pleasant experience.

I purchased a Chicken Kebab Pita for 500 yen at Nirex Kebab, a kebab specialty shop along Eurod near Hachioji Station North Exit. A couple was ahead of me in line. Since it was Golden Week, I wanted to have kebabs and beer for lunch, so I bought the kebabs here in advance and enjoyed them at Komiyapark. The menu offers three options: beef, chicken, and Egyptian falafel, which can be served in pita bread or as a roll. When ordering, I was asked if I wanted it spicy, so I chose Very Hot. The last time I had a proper pita was during a solo trip to Tel Aviv, Israel, where I ate all-you-can-fill pitas at a stall for about 300 yen each night. The kebab had plenty of meat and vegetables, which I enjoyed. I even had the stall owner recognize me on the third night. I had a delicious meal at Komiyapark on a bench with a craft beer, HANALEI IPA from Hawaii, and the pita. The kebab became spicy and tasty with chili sauce as I ate.

Takeout-only restaurant in Hachioji Eurod offering various kebabs and Egyptian cuisine. Ordered the falafel, which was like a kebab but with croquettes and shredded cabbage in pita bread. Slightly spicy with red sauce. Tasted as expected, with a chewy pita bread texture. Would like to try other dishes next time.
