I went for lunch. I was really hungry so I ordered the large serving, which turned out to be really big! Haha, I tried the tomato carbonara for the first time and it was delicious! However, the taste was a bit strong towards the end, almost bitter... Also, it was disappointing that the eggs were not real... Oh well, it's understandable in this day and age...

It's been a while since I went to Kamakura Pasta. The chewy texture of the whole shrimp and cod roe matched well with the tomato sauce, making it a luxurious pasta. The shrimp soup was also smooth, making it a shrimp-filled dinner. The all-you-can-eat bread was brought to our seats, allowing us to enjoy our meal leisurely. The croissant and petit melon bread were especially delicious.

Dinner on November 15, 2022 (Tuesday). Worked in Murayama all day. For dinner, got off the train on the Chuo Line. Tried a couple of places in the south exit of Musashikoganei, but they were closed or not impressive. Ended up at a chain restaurant on the 2nd floor of Acqua Mall. It's also a chain under the management of Kamakura Pasta, a subsidiary of Sanmark Holdings, with a total of 194 stores. I had no idea what to order, so I decided to go with the Carbonara pasta, which was the biggest photo in the menu booklet. I ordered the "Extra Rich" Carbonara with 3 egg yolks (1300 yen including tax) in a large size (1800 yen including tax). The server asked if I was okay with the large portion being double the amount, to which I replied, "I think I'll be fine." The pasta that arrived was indeed a huge portion. The noodles were fresh but not particularly tasty. The sauce was plentiful, and it seemed like they used a lot of eggs, but it didn't result in a delicious sauce. There was a lot of cheese on top, but it didn't have a strong flavor. Perhaps it's because they don't make everything from scratch in the store. In COVID-19 news, there were over 10,000 new cases in Hokkaido and Tokyo, with the world's population surpassing 8 billion today.

In 2006, Kamakura Pasta, a pasta specialty store born from the all-you-can-eat bread restaurant San Marco, was created. The name "Kamakura" was chosen because the Japanese-style atmosphere with tatami mats and the concept of eating pasta with chopsticks matched the image of Kamakura. When it first opened, it was quite popular. Eating pasta on a tatami floor after storing your shoes in a locker was a sensational experience. However, now the Japanese-style atmosphere is gone, and the interior is just like any other Italian restaurant. It seems suspicious to use a place name without any connection to it. After over 20 years, I visited the restaurant again. The location near the station is convenient. During my visit, there was a special promotion featuring sea urchin, so I ordered the "Sea Urchin and Plump Shrimp" premium pasta with rich sea urchin cream sauce in a large size for 2,112 yen. The visual presentation did not match the photos, and the amount of sea urchin and shrimp toppings was minimal. The taste was decent, but not exceptional. The pasta, especially the large portion of fresh pasta, had a difference in texture between the first bite and the last bite, which left a lasting impression. Overall, it was just average. I indulged in plenty of freshly baked bread. The prices were not cheap, but lowering them may not be sustainable for the business. In order to survive, chain restaurants need to focus on customer satisfaction rather than just pricing. Kamakura Pasta seems to have moved away from its original Japanese-style image, and relying solely on the all-you-can-eat bread offer may not be enough to attract customers.

I arrived late for lunch and it started raining, so I visited this place for the first time in years. I ordered the semi-dried tomato and mozzarella tomato cream spaghetti with a salad and coffee set. I think it was around ¥1,600. You can also change the pasta to fettuccine. The taste is basic and reliable, not flashy. Thank you for the meal. Visit time: 13:30-14:10 Recommendation: ★★★★

I wandered around looking for a place to have a light drink and a meal to finish the night, and stumbled upon this place for the first time! [Exterior] It looks like this... Located on the 2nd floor in the Aqua Mall to the right of the south exit of JR Musashikoganei Station... I carefully checked the display and menu in front of the store and decided to go in... [Interior] It looks like this... I visited at a very late hour on a weekday, but there were a few customers inside... I was seated at a table right after entering the store! [Table setting] It looks like this... There were a pot, paper napkins, and other items placed on the table! [Menu] Now... what should I order... Oh no, something uncharacteristic of a blogger happened... My camera battery died, so I couldn't take any photos! I ordered the fresh basil tomato sauce pasta! I love tomatoes... haha The pasta had a chewy texture with a punch of garlic, but I would have preferred a stronger tomato sauce flavor... The fresh basil added a refreshing accent! The amount of noodles was a bit small for a main meal during dinner, so they also offered a nice service of extra large portion or all-you-can-eat freshly baked bread set! The pasta was more flavorful than I expected, and it was a satisfying way to finish the meal... I enjoyed it deliciously as always and felt happy!

Bakery-owned pasta chain, San Marco, operates a pasta chain, and this was my first visit. Today, I visited the one in Musashikoganei, Tokyo. I ordered the Roasted Bacon Peperoncino for 890 yen at "Nama Men Koubou Kamakura Pasta." The menu has a wide variety of options, but all are over 1000 yen, which is a bit on the expensive side. Among them, the most familiar and reasonably priced option is the Peperoncino. The establishment is originally a bakery, so for an additional fee, you can have all-you-can-eat bread. However, unfortunately, there was no bread available today. The dish arrived after a 5-minute wait. The noodles were thin and had a nice al dente texture. The bacon was crispy, perhaps due to being roasted, but it was not plentiful as a topping. It was delicious, but the most disappointing part was the small portion size. It was gone in no time, and honestly, it was not satisfying. Perhaps they anticipated the bread all-you-can-eat option, but even for those who do not eat bread, a little more quantity would be appreciated. It's tasty, though.

I went for lunch. First time trying Kamakura Pasta! I had the shrimp peperoncino, and the noodles were chewy and delicious. A bit on the pricey side, but if you like peperoncino and shrimp, it's a must-try! I would like to go again!

There is a restaurant that offers all-you-can-eat freshly baked bread. The pasta is also delicious. It would be better if the bread could be made a little faster.

This time, I was debating between pasta, tonkatsu, and Chinese food, trying to decide where to go. Even though I've been coming to Aqua Mall for years, I haven't visited all the stores yet. So, I decided to try to conquer the remaining three unvisited stores, which ended up being an izakaya, a tonkatsu restaurant, and a pasta place. Ultimately, I ended up at Kamakura Pasta for the first time. We had been hesitant and excluded it from our options multiple times in the past, but we finally made it there. While chain restaurants also offer fresh pasta, I personally find that dried pasta is delicious enough, so I had never been swayed by the appeal of fresh pasta. However, I was impressed by how the use of fresh pasta also helped speed up the cooking time, resulting in a quick service. I also appreciated the option to choose between chopsticks or a fork when ordering. Overall, it was a great experience. I may have eaten a bit too much today. Rating for revisiting: ★★★★, Recommendation rating: ★★★

Musashi-Koganei Station South Exit is just a 30-second walk away. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Acqua Mall. There was also a "BAQET" restaurant, which is part of the same Sanmark group, but it was already past 3 o'clock and lunchtime was over, so we went to Kamakura Pasta. The seating area consists of a combination of table seats with a total of 58 seats, quite spacious and relaxed, with the window seats offering a nice open feel. [Date: 2017/05/28] With my wife. Ika (squid) and colorful vegetable pasta (980 yen) before tax. The pasta had plenty of vegetables, giving it a seasonal taste and was quite delicious. The chewy texture of the fresh pasta was consistently tasty. The Japanese-style carbonara (980 yen) before tax was disappointing as it lacked flavor and had few ingredients, not giving much of a carbonara feel. The all-you-can-eat bread set (380 yen) before tax is the real highlight here! The bread from the Sanmark group is consistently delicious, so I like it. It is freshly baked, the size is just right, and it's good! I personally prefer when the bread is left on the table for self-service rather than brought to the table by the staff. The prices range from 890 yen to 1390 yen for the pasta dishes, which may feel a bit expensive, and the prices are without tax, which is a bit of a downside. If you're only going for the all-you-can-eat bread, it's quite good, but if you end up spending around 1500 yen per person, the value for money is not great. Unfortunately, the curry bread and other specific bread items we were looking forward to were not provided, and despite being there for over an hour, the bread service was slow, which was disappointing.

I had the clam and squid pasta with nori flavor at a pasta chain store operated by Sanmark Holdings. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building called "Aquell Mall," just a 1-2 minute walk from the south exit of Musashi-Koganei Station in Koganei City, Tokyo. When it comes to chain restaurants or grocery stores that include the name of a region in their store name, I always make sure to check if the store really exists in that area. It may not be a big deal, but for me, it's a gauge of whether the establishment shows sincerity to its customers. By the way, this store also has a branch in Kamakura (Kamakura Tebroad Store). I had used a Kamakura pasta store over 10 years ago, which was located in the Oval Building in Aoyama, Tokyo (now closed). The casual interior makes it feel easy to use. Before taking our order, they provided a survey form and offered all-you-can-eat bread (for a fee), typical of a Sanmark Holdings store. After much deliberation, I ordered the aforementioned dish from the extensive menu. Although it contained garlic, the flavor was mild. The nori worked well to give a refreshing touch to the oily sauce, but it tended to stick to the teeth, so brushing teeth after the meal is a must. The clams were not properly cleaned of sand. Overall, I didn't feel like going back there anytime soon.

I visited around 11:30. There were no other customers. I ordered the lunch set with some kind of basil and tomato pasta. The service was not bad. First, I had a small salad. I was told that I could get a large portion of pasta for an extra 200 yen, but I decided not to. The pasta didn't have any special features - it was similar to what you would get at a nearby Saizeriya. The bread was okay, not too moist inside but the crust was decent. Considering the cost-performance ratio, I think pasta from a chain restaurant would be sufficient. However, the spacious interior was a plus. By the time it was almost noon, families with children had started coming in. Thank you for the meal.

Just outside the south exit of JR Musashi-Koganei Station, on the 2nd floor of Acquaell Mall, you will find "Namemen Koubou Kamakura Pasta Acquaell Mall Musashi-Koganei Store." This is a pasta restaurant operated by the Sanmark Group. The entrance may be narrow from the outside, but the inside is quite spacious with around 60 seats. The decor is inspired by Japanese aesthetics, with a calming wood tone. I ordered the thick-cut bacon carbonara Kamakura-style with the Petit Course (all-you-can-eat bread + 3 appetizers + drink + dessert), and a bit of alcohol... The pasta had a chewy texture that paired well with the sauce, and the bacon was juicy and delicious. And of course, Sanmark is known for their bread! The all-you-can-eat bread service brings a variety of freshly baked rolls to your table, including sugar rolls, croissants, milk rolls, basil rolls, and more. There are also bottled wines available, making it a place where both adults and children can enjoy.

I entered a restaurant without knowing it was a chain store, and noticed that they were selling bread that looked familiar... Ah, it must be a shop run by Saint Marc. I arrived just before the lunch rush, so there were not many customers yet. It was a pasta restaurant with a Japanese twist, similar to Gogomono in concept. You could choose between chopsticks or a fork. Unlike Gogomono, there were several side dishes that seemed to go well with alcohol, making it suitable for a drinking party. Although there were many Japanese-style dishes on the menu, I opted for a simple fresh basil and tomato pasta. It came with a salad and bread set for about 1300 yen. The salad arrived first... it was small... with a hint of sakura shrimp perhaps? Next, the pasta arrived. It was quite oily with plenty of soup. The pasta was described as fresh noodles, but it had a texture and vibe that reminded me of ramen noodles... a bit questionable. The bread was okay. There was a bean bread and a sugar bread. It seemed like you could have all-you-can-eat if you chose that option, but at my age, having a lot of pasta and bread is not healthy. Overall, the cost performance was not great. First of all, if they are going to name the restaurant after pasta, I wish they would put more effort into the pasta itself. Personally, I prefer the regular Saint Marc restaurants. The service may vary, but there were a few things that made me think, such as the menu taking a long time to arrive.
