This is a restaurant located on the 2nd basement floor of Abeno Center Building, serving Akashiyaki, Okonomiyaki, and Yakisoba. It was established in 1970, making it a long-standing establishment. The interior has counter seats and table seats, totaling about 25 seats. There may be a line during lunchtime, but I visited outside of peak hours and was able to sit without waiting.
I tried the Akashiyaki, which was served on a sushi geta with 8 pieces. The gentle yellow color of the egg is appealing. You pour the dashi from a tokkuri into a small pot and then dip the Akashiyaki in it. The Akashiyaki has a fluffy texture from being cooked on a copper plate with bonito flakes and kelp-flavored dashi. The contrast between the soft dough and the plump octopus is exquisite. You can enjoy changing the flavor by adding condiments like Mitsuba, green onions, and ginger sweet vinegar pickles. The portion is small, so if you're looking for a full meal, it might be better to order another dish like Okonomiyaki or Yakisoba. Overall, it was a delicious meal.
On weekdays during lunchtime, rice and miso soup are served as a complimentary service. The menu includes Akashiyaki for 750 yen, Takoyaki for 750 yen, Yakisoba for 950 yen, Egg Soba for 1050 yen, Yaki Udon for 950 yen, Squid Salt Grilled for 650 yen, Oyster Salt Grilled (winter only) for 1000 yen, Mix Grilled for 1200 yen, Full Stomach Modern for 1200 yen, Deluxe Grilled for 2500 yen, Pork Ball for 950 yen, Squid Ball for 950 yen, Octopus Ball for 950 yen, Cheese Ball for 950 yen, Rice Cake Ball for 950 yen, Scallop Ball for 1400 yen, Shrimp Ball for 1400 yen, Oyster Ball (winter only) for 1400 yen, and more. Takeout is also available.
