This is the 3rd branch of the well-known Kameido restaurant "Torisawa", formerly known as "TORISAWA CA10AL (Casual)". Before I knew it, it had been renamed to "Torisawa" haha. With the yakitori boom, there are more and more popular and exclusive restaurants like Torishiki, Toriyoshi, Torisawa, and Omino, making it difficult to casually drop by for some yakitori these days. Just as the original name suggests, Torisawa here aims to provide the same great value and casual dining experience as the main branch in Kameari. Indeed, it's relatively easier to make a reservation here compared to other places! So, after a long time, I visited with my American colleague from work (although this place tends to attract more couples due to its location). Located on the 8th floor of a building in a backstreet of Azabu-Juban, the interior features a monochrome white wall and a black L-shaped counter with 13 seats. When we visited after a long time, the head chef Hama-san who had been there since the opening had graduated, and now it's managed by Kotama-san. The food is mostly omakase style, where dishes keep coming until you say stop. Just like the main branch, they use the delicious Oyama-dori chicken from Tottori Prefecture, known for its juiciness and flavor. As expected from Torisawa, the skill of cooking the chicken is crucial for the taste, and everything we had was as delicious as ever. Tonight, we enjoyed kashiwa (chicken thighs), seseri (chicken neck), fresh ginkgo nuts, hatsumoto (aorta between the heart and liver), lotus root, liver, chicken wings, genkotsu (knee cartilage), soriresu (base of the thigh), tsukune (chicken meatballs), shiitake mushrooms, neck skin, round heart, and minced chicken rice. I thought maybe they grilled it a bit too much today, but the cooking was still outstanding as always! Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back!

It was my second visit. The skewers were still very delicious as always. This restaurant in Azabu Juban is easy to make a reservation, so it's a good choice when you feel like eating delicious yakitori. They have an omakase style menu, and I would love to try all the varieties if possible, but I couldn't do it this time either... The chicken is delicious, of course, but I also really like the thick tofu that comes out from Torizawa-san's group. I will try visiting other branches as well, and I plan to use this restaurant again.

After entering the shopping street from Azabu-Juban Station and walking towards Shirokane Takanawa for about 7 minutes, you will arrive at the restaurant. This area is known for its many famous restaurants of various genres, making it a fiercely competitive restaurant district. Despite being a popular yakitori restaurant, the place was far from full and I was comfortably seated at the counter. They asked about any dislikes for the order, and then the staff grilled the skewers as they saw fit. The system stops when you are full, which allows you to eat more than with a set course and makes it easy. I had a few beers as appetizers at another restaurant before coming here, so I couldn't eat as much as I wanted due to a slight buzz and a satisfied appetite, which was a shame. However, every piece of meat was fragrant and delicious. The juicy meat oozes out from the crispy surface and seeps out between the teeth. It was a rare encounter with high-quality yakitori, so I'd like to visit on an empty stomach next time.

The fluffy tsukune and perfectly savory gizzard captured my heart in particular. The staff at "Torisawa" were very friendly and responsive to any request, ensuring a comfortable dining experience with timely service for both food and drink refills. The pricing was reasonable, and I am highly satisfied with being able to enjoy yakitori of this quality. It's a wonderful restaurant that I would love to revisit. Located in Azabu-Juban, there is a yakitori restaurant called Torisawa. The main store is in Kameido and this is their third branch, also very popular, in Azabu-Juban. The small restaurant has about 10 counter seats, with a cozy and hidden atmosphere. It's surprising that all the staff members are very young, even the head chef who I think is in his early twenties. The recommended way to enjoy the food is to go on an empty stomach as they serve skewers until you say stop. They will ask in advance if there are any ingredients you don't like. I mentioned that I only dislike liver, and we started with yakitori. Despite being a yakitori place, the interior is quite stylish and there is no smoke, probably due to a powerful ventilation system. The appetizer of pickled daikon and cucumber with miso paste, and grated daikon as a chopstick rest, were roughly prepared and crunchy. We started with a draft beer and cheers with Ebisu's draft beer. The dishes included plump chicken thighs, slightly bitter ginkgo nuts, perfectly cooked heart, quail with a hint of rawness, crunchy snow peas with lemon, and tender lemon-squeezed firm meatballs. The thick fried tofu had a crispy surface and fluffy inside. The bonjiri was juicy with a nice layer of fat, and the chouchin had a rich flavor and perfect cooking. The seseri meat was chewy with a delicious balance of elasticity and fat. We stopped at this point and had the finishing meal of minced chicken rice bowl, egg over rice, and tea-soaked chicken soup. The minced chicken rice bowl with white soup was thick and rich, and the skewers were slightly larger in portion size, satisfying and delicious. We had about two beers and the total bill was just over 10,000 yen. Even on an early Saturday evening, the first seating was fully booked so making a reservation is a must. It's a trendy yakitori restaurant, and although the staff are young due to the location, the customers are also young. I would like to visit the Kameido store next time. (*^^*)

Located on the 8th floor of a building in a calm area away from the main street in Azabujuban, this restaurant offers views of a park and residential area from its windows. Owned by Mr. Akira Nakazawa, who started his first shop in Kameido, this popular yakitori restaurant now has four locations in Azabujuban, Nishi-Azabu, Gakushuinmae, and others (franchise). Reservations are difficult to come by. The restaurant operates with a two-part seating system, with a maximum of 10 seats at the counter available at 6:00 PM and 8:15 PM. One notable difference in grilling technique was observed with the quail eggs. The eggs had a perfectly grilled outer layer, a resilient texture, and a smooth, gooey yolk that flows into your mouth when the skin is broken. This texture is a must-try. The "chochin" (lantern) and "hizamawari" (knee) parts of the chicken also provided a similarly impressive experience. The chicken broth soup was rich without being overpowering. Paired with wine, the yakitori was served in delicate wine glasses, exuding a casual yet subtly refined elegance throughout.

★Today I wanted to eat rare yakitori in Azabu-Juban, so I made a same-day phone reservation. The grilling at all the locations is excellent and the yakitori is very carefully cooked. The Azabu-Juban location has a bar-like atmosphere and is easily accessible, making it a great place to enjoy some delicious yakitori. It was cooked to a medium-rare perfection! This is my favorite yakitori restaurant, but it's hard to get a reservation due to its popularity and timing not matching up. I hadn't been in half a year, and when I visited this time, I was surprised to see a different head chef! I asked the staff if Mr. Hamada was off today, and they said he retired in August. Shocking! It turns out he left about two weeks after my last visit in August. I wanted to taste his cooking one more time. I wonder how the new chef's grilling skills are. I realized how delicate yakitori can be. The ingredients may be the same, but the grilling makes a huge difference in taste. It was undeniably delicious, a unique yakitori experience that you can't find elsewhere. I felt that the harmony between the chef and the food is crucial for a well-balanced dish. It was delicious. Finally made it. Torisawa's Azabu-Juban branch. A reward for ourselves who have been working hard towards the end of the fiscal year! Personally, I wanted to eat yakitori, so that's why we went, but everything was delicious. I wonder if there are many regular customers. It felt like there were a lot of regular male customers that day. Thank you for the amazing yakitori. I will come back again!!

This time, I visited "Torisawa Azabujuban." Originally, I was aiming for a different branch of Torisawa, but I was introduced to this restaurant as it was available for reservation. At that time, I was surprised to learn that Torisawa was founded by someone who had trained at Torishiki, and I was also introduced to other Torishiki-related restaurants. The menu was omakase style, with a variety of dishes such as chicken thigh, gizzard, quail liver, chicken heart, thick-fried tofu, chicken shoulder, cartilage, and chicken soup, along with drinks like beer, highball, wine, and water. Since I had another restaurant to go to next, I stopped at a good timing and didn't order rice dishes this time. The overall impression was not bad, but there wasn't anything that really stood out, it was a calm and steady experience from start to finish. Also, there didn't seem to be any lanterns available that day. I might try visiting other restaurants in the Torisawa group in the future. Thank you for the meal.

First visit. I heard from a new colleague that this restaurant has a good reputation, so we made a reservation and visited. I have no complaints, but I also don't feel particularly satisfied - it seems like the service is just following instructions. The restaurant had high ratings on Tabelog, but it was a bit different for me. It might be good for work (business relations) or couples, but I didn't have any complaints.

Before writing on Tabelog, I had the pleasure of sharing a table with Mairevi for the first time, other than the reviewer I already knew. Thank you, Y-san. It was so much fun. I was surprised to find out that we have a mutual friend. Tabelog seems like a dating site for middle-aged men, haha. This restaurant, part of the Torisawa group, is easy to book in Azabu-Juban. Highly recommended for yakitori. I'm also curious about Torisawa's new ramen shop, Torisawa Jigbone Club. Gotta go. We visited with four people including two friends, spending just under 70,000 yen. We drank a lot, so if you drink moderately, it should be around 10,000 yen. Personally, I prefer this place over Torisawa 22 in Hiroo in terms of value for money. I'd like to visit again. After that, we went to Roppongi for the night with Y-san. Thank you, Y-san. I'll share a few thoughts with photos.

I have not dabbled in other social media platforms, continuing my hobby only on Tabelog. I nervously came to Azabu-Juban to meet with MyRev, the user I interact with the most. I visited "Torisawa Azabu-Juban," a popular yakitori restaurant just 2-3 minutes walk from the station. I have visited the main store in Kameido once before. I ordered the chef's selection of skewers and enjoyed each part cooked perfectly. The most delicious ones were the "chochin" and the meat right before it. The conversation was lively, and as for the details of the skewers... My impression at the end of the meal was that it was better than the main store. Nowadays, Tabelog is gaining attention in various ways, but I feel it is a wonderful tool for those who purely enjoy and pursue food. While young people often meet on social media, I discovered the new charm of Tabelog where people of the older generation with the same hobby (good food) can share. It's not just about rating and searching, there are other ways to use it. The bill came to around 16,000 yen per person, but normally it's a good value around 10,000 yen.
