I ordered the Duck Broth Soba in large size for 2400 yen. While waiting, I checked out Tabelog and found that the real soba shop chooses the real reviewer, who happens to be me (lol). It is said that the more you chew, the more flavor you get, just like the famous reviewer Nishinari Eiji. This soba also uses soba flour from Fukui prefecture and the more you chew, the more flavor comes out. It was wonderful. Thank you for the meal! (⌒▽⌒)

Today is the Arima Kinen, so I came to JRA Wins Dotonbori. Before placing my bets, I decided to have lunch at "Teuchi Soba Hoshi (Akari)" restaurant. The restaurant has only three tables and a counter, serving delicious soba from Fukui prefecture. The interior is quiet with jazz music playing and a view of the Dotonbori River from the shop. I ordered the "Tengamo Tsuke Soba". I started by tasting the soba without any condiments. It has a nice aroma and flavor! The duck broth is rich and deep in taste. The tempura consisted of shrimp, sakura shrimp, seaweed, and shiso leaf. They were all delicious, but the tempura was exceptional! The duck broth contained large pieces of Kawauchi duck, white leeks, and duck meatballs, all of which were very tasty. The duck meat was chewy and the meatballs were delicious! Lastly, I added some concentrated soba broth to the duck broth. The restaurant is run by a quiet husband and his attentive wife, and it is one of the top restaurants for me. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

Located in the Dotonbori Sakaisuji side of Namba, this restaurant may seem inconspicuous at first glance if you haven't read the reviews on Tabelog. Despite this, the restaurant was almost full inside, but we were seated promptly without much of a wait. The majority of customers were from overseas, which shows that this place is well-known among international visitors. We ordered the duck soup soba for 2,200 yen and the spicy duck soba for 2,200 yen. The food was delicious, and even though the prices were raised in March 2023, considering the location and quality, it may actually be seen as affordable by many tourists. The restaurant allows smoking, but there were no smokers during our visit.

When you order the Tempura Soba, they serve the soba and tempura separately, so you can enjoy them in your favorite way. The tempura was so crispy and delicious, with various ingredients like sweet onions, pumpkin, eggplant, shrimp, and more. The presentation was also lovely, making the meal even more enjoyable. This time, I chose the hot soba because it was cold, but I would like to try the cold soba next time. It might be crowded during weekdays for lunch, so I recommend arriving early. The restaurant has counter seats and table seats, and it's a bit small, so going early is a good idea. The address is 1-1-9 Dotonbori, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka. I went to Akari, a hand-made soba restaurant in Namba, Osaka. I happened to come across this highly rated restaurant while looking for a place to eat. It was lunchtime and there was a short wait. Their specialty is duck soba. Inside the restaurant, you can see the soba-making process. You can also see the Dotonbori River in the back. I ordered the recommended dish, "Tenkamo Nanban" and "Kamo Zaru". The tempura was crispy and freshly fried. The soba in the "Kamo Nanban" had a nice texture and was very delicious. They use duck meat from Kawachi duck, which was also flavorful and had a good chewy texture. I don't usually find soba to be that delicious, but this restaurant had the best soba I've ever had! I will definitely come back again! Thank you for the meal!

I went to have lunch at Handmade Soba Hoshi. ☆Kamiten Zaru Soba ¥2000 It was a fragrant soba made with 80% buckwheat. It was smooth and delicious. The tempura included 2 prawns, shiitake mushrooms, pumpkin, eggplant, asparagus, onions, and seaweed. It was quite filling. I enjoyed the soba. Thank you for the meal.

The taste was gentle and the duck soba had a satisfying texture. The atmosphere was neither good nor bad. The stoic owner (just imagining) quietly served the soba. In terms of cost performance, it felt cheap for what we ate! Overall, if it's nearby when I feel like eating soba in Minami, I would definitely stop by! That's the feeling!

It's a bit lonely now with no inbound tourists and fewer people in Namba. I ordered the large serving of tempura soba. The soba had a strong flavor and was delicious. I always thought soba portions were small and wouldn't fill me up, but the tempura here was plentiful and tasty. With the large serving of soba and tempura, I left feeling satisfied. It was a better experience than I had imagined, and I definitely want to come back. Thank you for the meal.

There was a soba restaurant in such a place! I ordered the lunch set with duck soup and zaru soba (2000 yen). They use soba from Fukui prefecture, and it was really delicious! The duck soup was elegant with duck meat and duck balls, very tasty! The tempura was crispy, a must-order! The tempura included vegetable tempura, shrimp, seaweed, and shiso leaf. The place is small, so it gets crowded quickly. They open at 12:00, but if you wait outside, they will guide you in around 11:50. I definitely want to come back here! Located in Nipponbashi, Osaka, this restaurant is called "Hoshi" but read as "Akari." It is situated at the end of Dotonbori on the Nipponbashi side. They serve delicious 80% buckwheat noodles from Fukui with a nice texture. This time, I tried the duck soup soba, which was okay. Next time, I think I'll try the cold soba noodles!

The difference between Joten and Ebizo seems to be only the number of shrimp. The tempura was fried to a dark brown color, with only vegetables and grains. The soba and dipping sauce had a simple taste. The soba, with its substantial weight, had a rustic feel reminiscent of Fukui Prefecture. It was nice that they brought extra soba broth without being asked. Three professors from a university next to me were discussing Korean theories. They talked about how having long, straight legs is a sex appeal, and how even palm reading can be artificially created through plastic surgery. The professors, an old man, a middle-aged man, and a middle-aged woman, were chatting non-stop. They mentioned that they have been getting their hair cut at Seifu, a barbershop known for a long time. They joked that if that's the case, Tokiwa also looks like Seifu.

I finally got in after waiting in line three times! I had the duck soba with tempura set for 2000 yen. The soba had a nice texture and flavor. I've never had duck soba with so much duck meat before! I am very satisfied!

A friend and I visited this restaurant for the first time today because my friend was in the mood for soba noodles. We arrived at the opening time (11:30) and were able to be seated smoothly, but soon the place was full. The restaurant is not very large, so I recommend going right at opening time. Today, I ordered the duck broth soba (1,500 yen) and my friend ordered the tempura soba (1,600 yen). I usually don't choose duck broth soba (I have a relatively conservative palate), but I decided to try it based on the atmosphere of the restaurant. Looking around, it seemed like many people were ordering the duck broth soba, so my expectations were high. Soon, our dishes arrived. The soba noodles were as good as I had hoped. The duck broth was a bit strong in flavor, but it paired well with the soba noodles and I found myself eating it quickly. I also tried a bite (actually, a few bites) of the tempura soba my friend ordered, and the broth had a nice light flavor, making me think that regular zaru soba would be better for enjoying the soba noodles themselves. The tempura had a crispy texture that was different from other soba restaurants - I wonder if there's a secret to the batter. The tempura pieces were fried well and were quickly devoured. After paying the bill and leaving the restaurant, we saw customers waiting outside... Overall, it was a satisfying lunchtime experience. Thank you very much.

This soba restaurant has been certified for using delicious soba from Fukui prefecture. I highly recommend the Duck Soup Zaru Soba (1500 yen). They use luxurious Kawachi duck, and the dipping sauce is incredibly delicious. It's so good that your body feels like it's saying "delicious" after just one sip. The dipping sauce is filled with homemade tsukune, large pieces of green onions, sesame seeds, and fatty duck meat. I entered the restaurant as soon as it opened at 11:30 on Sunday, and by 12:00, the compact interior with a full counter and 3 tables for 4 people was already full. I had the duck soup soba for 1,500 yen. The soba didn't have any unique features, but the duck soup was full of delicious duck flavor with plenty of duck slices, green onions, and Mitsuba leaves. I was very satisfied! There were no smokers when I visited, but there were ashtrays, so smoking is allowed. The selection of alcohol seemed limited, so it's better to just have a quick meal for lunch at this restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

One evening, I went to Handmade Soba Hoshi (Akari) in Dotonbori for dinner. It was New Year's Eve, so I decided to try their New Year's soba. Since it was late, I was one of the last customers and ordered the "Tempura Soba". The soba noodles had a great texture and flavor, and the tempura was crispy and came in a variety of options. You could eat it on its own or dip it in salt or broth, which was really enjoyable. The owner, Taguchi, seemed to be doing well, and I was glad to be able to greet him for the new year. After having a drink in the evening, I stopped by Hoshi-san for some soba noodles as a final meal. I ordered the tempura soba with lukewarm sake from Kureharu. As I sipped on the Kureharu, the tempura arrived. It included eggplant, onion, pumpkin, shiitake mushrooms, lotus root, shrimp, and more. They used good shrimp. Delicious. Soon after, the soba noodles arrived. They were served on a bamboo tray. The soba noodles had a firm texture typical of Niha. Delicious. The price is cheap for Dotonbori. Thank you for the meal.

This restaurant was selected as one of the top 5000 on Tabelog. It is located in Dotonbori, Osaka Minami. I ordered the "Ten Zaru" for 1600 yen. The restaurant is certified as a "Delicious Fukui Prefecture Soba Restaurant" and they use high-quality soba made with a mix of 20% wheat and 80% buckwheat. It was delicious! I went with a friend and luckily we were able to order just before closing time, with only 2 portions left. The hand-made soba station is right at the entrance, and the tempura was also delicious. Osaka is a soba restaurant located near Namba and Dotonbori, closer to Nipponbashi. The building looked a bit old, so I didn't notice it right away. I mustered up the courage to go in, and I'm glad I did! It might be a hidden gem! They had salt soba, so I knew it was a place that takes pride in their delicious soba. I ordered soba-gaki, and the female staff asked if I wanted it with soy sauce or sweet red bean topping. I chose soy sauce for my first time trying it. The dish looked great, with nuts on top that turned out to be roasted soba seeds. The wasabi was fluffy and delicious. The dish also came with sugar soy sauce, which added a nice touch. It was different from the soba-gaki at another famous restaurant, but still very tasty! I might start exploring soba-gaki more when it gets too cold for cold soba or zaru soba.

I hadn't had soba for a long time due to the state of emergency, so I decided to stop by while shopping. I was drawn to the deluxe-looking tempura and duck soba, but I wasn't particularly impressed, perhaps because my expectations were too high.
