やや大食い
谷根千 is still good. I think so again. I walked from Sendagi to Yanaka Ginza, heading towards Nippori. There are many small and charming shops crowded together. I want to visit here, I want to eat here... There are also many foreigners. I walked through Yanaka Ginza and climbed the Yuyake Dandan. After a short walk, I found the restaurant. A large elephant statue welcomed me. I had just eaten Sri Lankan curry nearby, so I planned to have tea. I confirmed the tea set on the menu at the entrance and entered. Excited by the various decorations at the entrance, I went up the stairs to the second floor. Inside, it was cluttered with expensive-looking tea sets and ornaments. The distance between the tables and chairs was narrow, and the back was bustling with female customers. There was no counter, no solo customers, and no male customers. Oh... did I make a mistake? Since I couldn't find any staff, I peeked into the kitchen and called out to an Indian person? who came out. Communication was difficult. He said the manager would come, so I waited. The manager did not come, but after a while, I was guided to a table for three nearby. The chairs, table, and tableware had a luxurious feel. It was before 2 p.m., but only the food menu came, and there was no tea set. I communicated that I wanted the tea set mentioned on the outdoor sign and ordered chai and cheesecake for 880 yen. It went through. After a short wait, the cheesecake came on a tea pot-shaped plate. Also, the hot chai. There were many things to look at, and it was enjoyable and quaint. I planned to stay for 40-50 minutes for time adjustment. However, as soon as I finished the hot chai, not even 20 minutes had passed since entering, a person in white clothes who seemed to be the manager said, "This seat will soon be reserved." There was no such guidance when I entered, and there were some empty seats. The manager moved to a table with many women in the back and was chatting with them. Yes, talking to women must be fun. I am not a person who stays for a long time in general. However, being told this in less than 20 minutes was a first for me. Was it because I didn't order a meal? Feeling disappointed and sad, I paid and left. Thank you for the meal.
