On August 24, 2018, I revisited the shop "Izumo" that I fell in love with on my previous visit. The atmosphere and the perfect distance between the chef and customers make this shop truly amazing. Of course, the unique skewers they offer are also very appealing. This time, I went on a Friday night and started with Asahi Super Dry. We ordered various skewers such as fukiyose, squid seaweed roll, eggplant dengaku, tako-chin, chicken breast, grilled chicken, stamina grill, rare konjac, liver, shrimp with yuba, and beef loin. Despite eating quite a lot, the food was light and I could keep eating more. The chef always provides the appropriate sauce for each skewer, making the dining experience enjoyable. It's a great place to explore different ways of eating as a regular customer. On September 10, 2018, I visited Izumo again with a friend. We enjoyed the skewers and the lettuce appetizer, and I also had a chance to meet another friend who dropped by. We ordered various skewers like stamina grill, fukiyose, rare konjac, chicken breast, tako-chin, Izumo seaweed roll, liver, beef loin, potatoes, and eggplant dengaku. Each skewer was prepared with different seasonings based on the chef's recommendation. The potatoes wrapped in bacon were especially delicious. My friend also enjoyed the skewers she ordered. I hope this shop continues to thrive in Minami. On October 24, 2018, I visited Izumo again and tried the new additions to the menu, oyster and ginkgo nuts. Both were delicious, especially the oysters wrapped in bacon. They were perfect with salt and seaweed. I also received detailed recommendations from the chef on how to enjoy each skewer, which I noted down for future visits.
