On a scorching midsummer noon, I decided to challenge myself with a spicy negi chashu ramen instead of opting for chilled tsukemen. I also ordered rice to go with the pork bone broth with back fat. The combination of spicy negi and chashu was surprisingly delicious, with a hint of sweetness. I even added some homemade chili peppers for extra heat, which intensified the flavor. I recommend this dish to those who are not afraid of spiciness. The fact that rice refills are free prompted me to have seconds. Despite breaking a sweat, I found myself hooked on the dish. I finished every last drop of the soup and left feeling completely satisfied.

I visited on a Sunday night. The staff were energetic and full of enthusiasm. The ramen had a rich pork fat flavor but wasn't heavy, and I could finish the soup too. The seasoning was delicious, and the chashu was tender.

I liked the Shibiraka Niku-tsuke Men and used to come for it during the limited season. I haven't really tried anything else. I think it's just a normal ramen shop. Personally, I find it neither good nor bad. The seating is limited and depending on the time, it can be full. I surprisingly like the furikake on the table.

Today, I decided to try a new area for a change of pace, Hounancho. I visited Mambo Nakano, which is open until 9pm, around 8pm. The mostly counter-style restaurant had 2 customers in front of me and 1 behind me, but in between, they were receiving orders non-stop from takeout services like UberEats and Demae-can, and the 3 staff members were working at full speed. Although they seemed to be promoting their tsukemen, I chose the Miso Ramen with back fat for 830 yen. The rich miso flavor with back fat was delightful ❤️ The noodles were about 4mm in diameter, slightly yellow, and medium thickness. They had a good chewiness and were delicious. The variety of condiments for flavor customization was also a plus. I especially love their homemade chili peppers, which not only add spiciness but also enhance the umami flavor. Adding grated garlic first and then vinegar to the soup after finishing the noodles was fantastic. The service was pleasant, and there was nothing negative to say. However, I can't help but feel like something is missing. Maybe it's the slightly chain-like, subdued feeling despite there being only a few locations. Is it the font of the sign that gives off a chain store vibe? Or is it the lack of a standout uniqueness in the balance of price, taste, and portion size? I will come back another time to try other items on the menu and think about it.

I went with the miso ramen based on my own preference, but it seems like the restaurant's specialty is actually soy sauce ramen, which serves as the foundation. The miso ramen had a thick, juicy chashu pork which was delicious. It was rich and flavorful, with a nice balance of fatty sweetness and strong saltiness from the miso sauce. However, it didn't have that distinct miso aroma, so I started to think that maybe the restaurant's recommendation is actually the soy sauce ramen. As more customers started coming in, all ordering soy sauce ramen, I realized that was indeed the case. I may have given the restaurant a bit of a challenge with my choice, but I will revisit after considering all the points.

Hello, this is Sapio.
■ Tenho series Hanamachi branch
This restaurant has been around since before I joined the company. I have visited it several times and have written some harsh reviews, thinking I knew ramen well. I am often teased by my colleagues, saying, "Sapio, you don't like Tenho, do you?" About a year ago, this branch underwent a renovation and I noticed that the soup is now made in-house. In this internet age, past reviews remain the same as they are now. This is what they call an internet tattoo. Nowadays, you can be held accountable for statements made decades ago. When I looked at the ticket, I saw an interesting menu item called Spicy Meat Tsukemen. Let's try this today.
● Actual Eating
The bowl is filled with plenty of meat. The sauce has a sweet and sour taste with a hint of spiciness and back fat, which adds richness. The spiciness is on top of the meat. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles with a chewy texture. Have these noodles always been paired with tsukemen? If my memory serves me right, they are similar to ramen. Rice is available for an additional charge. However, refills are free. I transferred the meat from the noodle bowl to the rice and enjoyed it heartily. I finished with a full stomach. Thank you for the meal.

We visited in the evening as a pair. We were seated at a table without having to wait. We ordered soy sauce ramen. The pork bone broth was quite rich, and the noodles were smooth and delicious! There was plenty of pork fat in the soup, so even though it didn't feel heavy while eating, our stomachs felt full afterwards.

I will resume posting on Tabelog after a long time! I went to "Menya Tenho" near Hananacho Station for lunch today! I had the "Special Tsukemen" which costs 850 yen. It was served in about 5 minutes, which was fast and nice! At first, I was worried because the noodles looked rubbery, but they were actually chewy and delicious. The char siu was fragrant and tender, and I loved the flavor. If the dipping sauce had a bit more richness and thickness, it would have been perfect!

I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen. When I took a sip of the soup, I felt more sweetness than spiciness. It tastes good, but it seems like a lot of sugar is used, so I might gain weight. The Spicy Miso Ramen is 50 yen more expensive, but there is a jar of homemade chili peppers on the counter that looks delicious and you can use it for free.

Around 1:30 PM when I entered, there were a few people lined up. The interior of the restaurant had about 10 counter seats and one table for four people. Everything looked delicious, so I had a hard time deciding and ended up ordering soy sauce ramen and spicy miso ramen. You could choose between rice and almond jelly, and this time I chose almond jelly. The rich tonkotsu soup with thick noodles was delicious. The special chili pepper added another layer of flavor.

Tsukemen for 950 yen, with extra fat and a strong flavor. The generous amount of chopped seaweed is a plus. Thank you for the meal.

It's close to my house, so I stop by whenever I feel like it. I've been here a few times, and I still think the tsukemen is the most delicious.
