JR Kitasenju Station West Exit, about a 2-minute walk from there, is a standing bar called "Tachinomi Yaki-ton Daikoku Kitasenju Station West Exit Store" that opened on June 27, 2020. Upon investigation, "Tachinomi Yaki-ton Daikoku" is a brand owned by Hikari Food Service Co., Ltd., which operates standing bars such as Tachinomi Uotsubaki in Nagoya, Kakesen Yokocho Ramen Kaneyamaya, and Tachikawa Mashimashi. I had actually drunk at "Tachinomi Uotsubaki" in Nagoya a long time ago, but I had thought it was an independent store. It's interesting what you find out when you look into things. However, since the HP does not mention the Kitasenju Station West Exit store, at this point, it is just speculation. But considering that Hikari Food Service also operates "Daikoku Horumon" in Kitasenju and Kameari, it might actually be Daikoku... or should I say Kuro~ haha. When I visited around 8 pm on a weekday, there were about 7 customers at the 15-seat counter on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor has about 21 table seats, so if you want to invite your girlfriend who is tired from work, the 2nd floor might be a better choice. I found a spot at the counter and stood. Looking at the menu, Jin Beam Highball for 350 yen, Premium Malt for 490 yen, Chuhai for 350 yen, Hoppy Set for 400 yen, and a medium-sized beer for 200 yen (all excluding tax) are not particularly cheap. If you want to get drunk on the cheap, the Hoppy with an added medium beer strategy might work. *Mega Kakuhai Highball for 650 yen (excluding tax) Oh! It seems I decided to go for the Mega strategy because the alcohol was expensive. If it's going to be Mega, I'd rather go for Kakuhai than Jin Beam, which looks refreshing. Actually, I had just gone hopping between Naka Gyoza House and Tachiatari before this, so I'm not very confident in my memory. *Assorted 5 for 650 yen (excluding tax) Tongue, Head, White, Motsu?, and Lever. The Head and Tongue have a dense meat texture. The White is not light and fluffy like Nonki from Horikiri Ayame Park, but it's crispy and well-cooked in a different direction, yet delicious. The Lever is generously topped with sesame oil and green onions, with a rare finish, making it quite tasty. However, there is also Lever Teki at Motsuyaki Tsumiki in Kitasenju, so it's a tough competition. Was it not enjoyable then? Well, I have a photo on my smartphone of me and the staff linking arms in front of the store on the way back, so I think I actually had a lot of fun.
