While walking towards the station, I found a lemon cake specialty shop with a cute cat logo. The small and stylish shop had a showcase with standard lemon cakes and small madeleine-shaped salted lemon cakes. The lemon cake was fluffy with a hint of lemon peel. The texture was moist and easy to cut when chilled. The salted lemon cake had a sprinkle of rock salt on the surface, which enhanced the sweetness. They were bite-sized and easy to eat. I thought they would make a great souvenir due to their cuteness.

I had some errands to run at a friend's house by the pond. After finishing my errands and having lunch, I walked a little from the restaurant where I had lunch and visited this shop for the first time. It is a lemon cake specialty shop that originated in a cafe in Himeji, which became popular and expanded to Tokyo. They also have canelé cakes, but this time I bought lemon-shaped cakes and salted lemon cakes. The cakes have a moist texture, just the right amount of lemon sourness, and a good balance of sweetness. They make a great souvenir, the lemon cakes.

The shop is located a bit far from Ikegami station and is a little hard to find. You can probably park a bicycle or a motorcycle in front of the shop. I think a pack of 2 was 840 yen. The lemon cake had a nice lemon scent and was elegant. However, when taking it out of the bag, some parts of the cake around the edges would come off, so it seems like you have to eat it chilled, which makes it a bit inconvenient as a summer souvenir. The flavor and texture were really good though, so I would recommend it to acquaintances.

I saw this place on TV and realized I hadn't posted about it. There are several Le Mondeur shops nationwide, with one in Ikegami, Tokyo. It's a bit away from the city center, but they sometimes participate in events. I knew about it but hadn't bought anything, so I decided to visit the shop. I arrived about 15 minutes before opening time and waited in line. I've tried various lemon cakes from different shops, so I had high expectations for a lemon cake specialty store. I bought two lemon cakes for 420 yen each and six fruit-flavored lemon cakes in canelé shape for 200 yen each (Earl Grey, Passion Fruit, Strawberry, etc.). They recommended chilling the lemon cake and thinly slicing it to pair with alcohol, but it wasn't to my liking. And I didn't understand why they would make fruit-flavored lemon cakes in canelé shape. I had thought that the lemon cake would be delicious because of the commitment to using lemons from Komaeda, but I was disappointed. The prices were also quite high, even for the small cakes at 200 yen each. They also have wooden boxes for gifting, which is cute. Overall, it was a bit of a letdown.

◆Turning a lemon cake into an outstanding dish, the plain lemon cake is the only choice. On the other hand, the canelé-shaped lemon cake, while having the same lemon base flavor as the lemon cake, is interesting because it offers several different flavors. I purchased both the lemon cake and the mini canelé-shaped lemon cake in plain flavor. The lemon cake had a soft and fluffy sponge with a refreshing lemon freshness and a hint of lemon peel, along with a pleasant crunchy texture from the frosting sugar. It was recommended to eat it chilled in the refrigerator during the summer, and indeed, the cool and refreshing deliciousness was undeniable.◆Menu for this visit Lemon Cake Mini Canelé-Shaped Lemon Cake (Lunch) 620 yen per person◆How to enjoy this shop<Profile>This shop is the Tokyo debut of a lemon cake specialty store originating from Himeji, Hyogo. There is a small shop a short distance from Ikegami Station where only one group can enter at a time. I bought a lemon cake and mini-sized canelé. The mini-sized canelé comes in various flavors, and I tried the passion fruit and cocoa ones. After leaving them in the refrigerator for half a day, they were quite moist and dense, with a good lemon flavor. They were delicious, albeit a bit pricey. They seem like a good choice for souvenirs as they can last for a while. The cute cat illustration was also nice. Thank you for the meal! ★

The Lemon Cake specialty shop is about a 6-minute walk from Ikegami Station on the Tokyu Ikegami Line. They use whole domestically produced lemons in their cakes. I tried the Lemon-shaped Lemon Cake for 420 yen. I chilled it before eating and the texture was indeed good! It was moist and chewy. It was sweet, but the sourness of the lemon was also well-balanced and delicious.

I went to the restaurant right after it opened and tried their food. It was delicious, but a bit too sweet for my taste. I only went there once because I found it a bit expensive at 400 yen per item considering the portion size.

A lemon cake specialty store in Himeji has opened its first branch in Tokyo. They offer two types of lemon cakes: plain and cocoa flavored. They also have two shapes available: lemon and canelé. I purchased both lemon and canelé shapes, each costing around 400 yen. It is recommended to enjoy them chilled. The cakes have a dense texture, moist and soft, with a light lemon scent. Although they are made from the same batter, I personally preferred the lemon shape for its texture. They would make a great small gift as well.☆

This is a lemon cake specialty shop. I visited after seeing it on Good Morning TV and got takeout. Lemon cakes, 2 pieces, 840 yen, this is the lowest price item. It's a bit expensive for small lemon cakes. I enjoyed them at home. I sliced them thinly. The lemon flavor is strong and delicious. Slicing them thinly makes it easy to eat and the intense flavor stands out. I would like to have them on special occasions. I paid with PayPay.

Received gift. The package is cute♡ A lemon cake specialty store in Himeji, Hyogo. The Ikegami store is the first store in Tokyo. They use domestically grown lemons that are grown without wax or mold inhibitors, using the whole peel, as well as carefully selected Hokkaido flour and butter. The lemon cake, which is full of freshly squeezed lemon juice, has a crispy sugar coating on the outside. When you take a bite, oh. It's incredibly moist and chewy! With a refreshing lemon scent, it's delicious♡ The small canelés are actually lemon cake in the shape of canelés. There are 6 flavors available, including chocolate, strawberry, and peach. When it's in the shape of a canelé, you expect a sticky canelé, so wouldn't it be better to just have it in a normal lemon shape?
