The other day, I saw a fellow reviewer grinding wasabi and it made me crave some too. So, I decided to visit "Shuhari" in Sennichimae. Despite the morning rain, it was still hot and humid, so I opted for a light soba dish. I ordered the "Ten Mori Soba" with standard 80% buckwheat soba. Shortly after, I was served with wasabi, soba dipping sauce, and green onions. It's always nice that they provide extra soba dipping sauce upfront! I grated the wasabi in a circular motion and it was ready. First, a platter of assorted tempura was served. It came with tempura dipping sauce, but I prefer salt. The tempura included shrimp, eggplant, okra, pumpkin, water eggplant, ginger, burdock, carrot, bell pepper, lotus root, and shimeji mushrooms. Each piece was small but the variety was delicious! Now, onto the soba. I started by eating it with salt. Despite the season, the soba had a great texture and smoothness. The flavor was a bit subtle, but still delicious. After enjoying it with salt, I added wasabi on top and dipped it lightly in the soba dipping sauce. The combination of wasabi's flavor with the sweet dashi broth was delightful. Slurping the soba and savoring each piece of tempura, it truly felt like happiness. Finally, a rich soba broth was served, which was enhanced by the initial soba dipping sauce. It was a delicious meal. Thank you!

After a long time, I went to Moppali-san. I usually order Tenzaru at the soba shop. Today, I ordered Tenzaru with Jako rice. I changed the soba to 100% buckwheat noodles with a large serving. As always, it was delicious! I could have eaten 10 more sheets!! If you feel like eating soba around Namba, be sure to try it out.

During my stay in Osaka, I passed through Kuromon Market for the first time. There were many foreigners, especially Asians, visiting. It felt like we were back to pre-Covid times, with Chinese being spoken around. For lunch, we decided to go to a traditional-looking building a little further away. We arrived 10 minutes before the 11:30 opening time and waited outside in the heat along with about five other groups. They only asked for the number of people in our group, no reservations were accepted. The interior had high ceilings and we were seated at a wooden table towards the back. We ordered zaru soba and chicken wasabi. I had the dipping tororo soba. We started with some cold beer and then tried the chicken wasabi dish, which was quite spicy and went well with sake. The soba noodles arrived, thin and slightly firm, giving a handmade feel. I found them a bit firmer than expected. For my dipping soba, I mixed the egg and tororo before dipping the noodles. Overall, there were plenty of dishes to choose from, making it a good option to enjoy with drinks.

Located in Ura-Namba, a traditional soba restaurant called Shuhari caught my eye for a while. I finally visited and ordered their signature dish, Tenmori Soba. The short and chewy soba noodles had a satisfying texture. The tempura was crispy, and I particularly enjoyed the thickly sliced sweet potato tempura. They offer self-service wasabi, allowing you to adjust the amount to your liking. The interior of the restaurant had a stylish Japanese atmosphere, making it a great place for a night out with their course menu available. The delicious food has left me curious about their evening appetizers as well.

The experience at the "Tani 4 no Shuha Ri" restaurant was different from what I expected. I usually go there for lunch, but this was my first time at this location. I had to wait outside for a bit, as there were many tourists. Eventually, we were seated on a cozy two-seater sofa. The service was a bit slow, with the staff taking their time to come over. Even though we signaled for soba-yu and finished our tea, they seemed to overlook us. However, the soba was delicious!

I have visited the restaurant in Dotonbori before, but it was my first time at Nihonbashi. The building is wonderful and I was drawn to it. I ordered simple zaru soba for my third dish. The smooth noodles had a refreshing texture and were delicious. The aroma of the soba filled the air and I quickly finished my meal. Thank you for the delicious food!

Even though it's in Namba, it's closer to Kuromon Market and near Nipponbashi Station. It's a soba restaurant with a lovely atmosphere both inside and out. There's always a line, but it's worth it. I always order the cold Yamakake Soba. I went with the 80% buckwheat soba this time, and it was really delicious. It had plenty of grated yam, and I slurped up every last drop.

Located in Ura Namba, Mappahari is a hidden gem that is relatively easy to get into compared to the main branch in Tanimachi. I have visited many times. The soba here is delicious, but the tempura is also amazing - crispy and easy to eat. I always go for the tempura soba. The interior is beautiful and it's a favorite spot for a relaxing meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

After the first day of watching Kabuki, we had dinner at a trendy soba restaurant called Shuhari Kuromon, located between the Matsunokiza Theater and our hotel. The atmosphere was like an izakaya, with many young staff and customers. We started with beer and enjoyed the delicious braised pork. The tempura of fava beans and ginger was surprisingly tasty, with the ginger flavor being mild and easy to eat. I chose the "Tenzaru" soba, which came with a variety of tempura. The soba portion was a bit small, but it was just right after trying different dishes. Overall, the food was satisfying and delicious.

I visited during lunchtime on a weekday. I arrived a little before the opening time of 11:30 am, but there were already about 4 groups ahead of me. Since it was hot, I ordered something cold. The soba noodles had plenty of toppings like green onions and bonito flakes, and it was delicious. I will definitely go back!

I walked a little from Namba Station. Without a reservation, I arrived just in time at 11:30 on a Saturday when they opened. I thought it might be impossible to get in on the first round due to the long line, but I managed to slip in just in time for the first round! There were many foreign tourists. We ordered the Tamago (1250 yen) and the Tempura Soba (1740 yen). We entered at 11:00 and the food arrived at 12:00. It was perfect for summer (*゚∀゚*). The tempura in the Tempura Soba was plentiful with shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, lotus root, sweet potato, carrots, okra, eggplant, zucchini, and more.

Today is a holiday, so of course it's time for a day drinking session! Today's lunch drink spot is Shuhari, a place I haven't been to in a while. Started off with simmered eggplant and grilled minced chicken egg with shochu, then had spicy chicken and rolled omelette. After having enough to drink, we finished with a final dish. My wife had "Tamago" while I had cold soba and rice with dried baby sardines. The warm thick soba noodles go well with the slow-paced drunkenness towards the end. "Tamago" looks delicious too, but the raw egg on the side is not something I can handle. Maybe next time I'll order it with the dried baby sardine rice and put the egg on top. (I'm a picky eater who likes things my way). I kept the shochu bottle, so I think I'll go back again soon.

Last time I visited without a reservation and it was full, so this time I made a reservation. We ordered the shallow pickled water eggplant and scallop oil marinated dish. We also added tempura and finished with soba noodles. Everything was delicious and satisfying. If I may make a suggestion, it would be great if they could offer a half-size option for the tempura. I will definitely visit again.

Around 12:30 on weekdays, even though this area is popular with tourists, I was lucky to be able to get in without waiting in line. I ordered tororo soba, and for an additional 170 yen, you can upgrade to juwari soba. The combination of the fragrant soba seeds, seaweed with a hint of the sea, and refreshing trefoil topping with the tororo is excellent.

Today, I had lunch for the first time in a while. I enjoyed the menu of shrimp and vegetable bukkake soba for ¥1420, with the soba changed to 100% buckwheat for an additional ¥210. The flavor of the soba was strong, with a firm texture and delicious black noodles. The tempura was crispy and fragrant, which was nice.

I have been to the Dodoyama store many times, but this was my first time at the Kuromon store. Both stores are stylish and welcoming for solo female diners. Since it was hot outside, I ordered the Ebi Yasai Ten Oroshi (cold). This was a menu item I had never seen before at other locations! It seems like the Ebi Yasai Ten Oroshi is a standard menu item here instead of the Shun-sai Ten Mori Soba. The tempura portion was generous, but the batter was light so I didn't feel too full and could eat a lot. The soba was delicious as well, but I especially love the tempura at Moppa Riri.

I came to try the soba at this restaurant, where the price for the rice field is ¥1250 and the draft beer is ¥570. There was no line, so I was able to enter right away. I ordered the usual "Tamago" which is a bukkake udon with shrimp tempura, burdock tempura, greens, grated daikon radish, egg yolk, seaweed, and bonito flakes. The shrimp tempura was crispy. I like to mix it with grated daikon radish or dip it in the bukkake broth. I also like that it doesn't get soggy because it's bukkake style. It was delicious. 7.0

I ordered the "tagoto" at a soba restaurant with three locations in Osaka. The soba had a good firmness, and the broth was flavorful without being too salty. It was very delicious. It was popular as there was a line for over 30 minutes, but I recommend it.

I visited a restaurant that I had been to for lunch before, but this time I went for dinner. I arrived around 7:30 pm on a weekday and was able to get a table right away. However, there was a line of customers forming shortly after. I wondered if reservations were necessary even on weekdays. If you time it right, you should be able to get in easily. I ordered soba noodles and some a la carte dishes: - Zaru Soba (cold soba noodles) - 860 yen - Wakasagi tempura (deep-fried smelt) - 1,140 yen - Braised pork belly - 800 yen - Dashimaki (Japanese rolled omelette) - 860 yen The dishes came out a bit slowly, probably because it was a bit crowded. The soba noodles were delicious with a nice texture and flavor. I ordered the 10% buckwheat soba, and it really allowed me to taste the true flavor of the soba. The dashimaki and tempura were also very tasty. I was impressed by how delicious not only the soba noodles but also the other dishes were. I will definitely visit this place regularly.

Shuppari Kuromon Ten Tanishi's store is always crowded, but I prefer places where you can just walk in normally. Tanishi has leek tempura, which Kuromon doesn't have, which is a shame, but the sakura shrimp tempura here is the best. I always order it when it's in season, so please give it a try. Thank you for the meal.

I have passed by this restaurant a few times in the past, and I always thought it was a cafe because the exterior was so stylish. However, it turned out to be a soba noodle restaurant. I visited around 6:30 pm on a Sunday, and I was lucky to get a seat as I saw many customers being turned away due to being fully booked or having reservations. As for the taste: I'm not good with alcohol, so I ordered plum wine. I want to be able to drink it someday. We ordered the boiled egg as a snack while drinking. The rich yolk paired perfectly with the miso. I really enjoyed the fried squid tempura. The light texture of the tempura went well with the mayonnaise. The smoked cheese on top of what seemed like shrimp chips was interesting and delicious. We also tried the new potato and firefly squid liver butter, which was like a strong-flavored meat and potato stew. It's a dish that people either love or hate, and I personally enjoyed it, although the portion was quite large. Lastly, we ordered soba noodles (probably the mountain soba) as our final dish. Grating the wasabi by ourselves was fun, and the soba noodles were delicious with a good aroma and texture. You can choose between 80% buckwheat and 100% buckwheat soba, and we tried the 80% this time. I would like to try the 100% next time. Overall, there were so many tempting dishes on the menu besides soba noodles, and I would love to visit again when I have a bigger appetite. Thank you as always. It was a great meal!
