Today, I am in Osaka. I am staying at a new hotel called The St. Regis Osaka. Since I arrived at the hotel at noon, I decided to have lunch at the hotel. When I asked the bell desk if there was a Japanese restaurant, they said there wasn't one directly operated by the hotel, but there was one in the basement. They made a reservation for me from the bell counter. As I went down to the basement on the escalator, I saw a pretty impressive restaurant. The interior was spacious with several Japanese-style rooms, indicating that they could accommodate quite large banquets. I had the lunch course for ¥5000. There was only a ¥12000 course available as well. As for the food, it was delicious. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but each dish was very tasty. I couldn't help but think that Osaka's average level might be higher than Nagoya's. Every dish was very delicious, but the one that left the biggest impression on me was the steamed rice with mochi rice and fresh ginger at the end.

It is difficult to find a high-class Japanese restaurant with completely private rooms suitable for entertaining near Honmachi Station. The private rooms here are separated by sliding doors, but you can still hear the voices of neighboring guests quite clearly. Groups with noisy children can be disruptive. The food itself was delicious, especially the ¥9900 course which offered a variety of traditional Japanese dishes with no disappointments. The corn rice at the end was also elegant. Despite enjoying plenty of drinks, the bill came out to around ¥20,000 per person. I would like to try the higher-end dishes next time, but it seems like I may need to go to Shinchi for a truly private dining experience.

I went for the first time. The customer service was polite, the store was clean and beautiful. The dishes were visually appealing and delicious. I was happy to receive a refill of warm tea. I would like to visit again when I have the chance. Thank you for your thoughtful care this time.

I visited the Michelin-starred restaurant, Ajikichi Chou, located in the basement of the St. Regis Hotel for a family lunch. The service was polite and the restaurant was spacious, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. We tried the Wakana course (9,000 yen) which included delicious rice cooked in a feather pot.

Located in the basement of the St. Regis, this place is perfect for business entertainment with its spacious and calming atmosphere. The staff's response when the steamed hot pot spilled on the table was a bit awkward, but the beautiful assortment of small dishes that followed lifted my spirits (laughs). The taste was even better than expected!

I felt that the restaurant was kind from the phone response for the reservation. I mentioned it was my birthday and that there were elderly people, so I requested for soft food. I arrived excitedly! The set-up with celebratory chopsticks and sake was lovely. The dishes were decorated with red and white cords and a bite-sized red rice, which made the birthday atmosphere even more exciting! The taste of the dishes was excellent. The autumn atmosphere was beautifully incorporated throughout, showcasing the chef's uncompromising taste and delicate sense of detail. I have become a big fan! I will definitely visit again!

The elaborate dishes were elegant and refined in taste. The weekday lunch menu is cheap, but the portions are small. It's important to carefully check the menu. The initial list is from cheapest to most expensive, but the detailed menu on the next page lists the items from most expensive to cheapest, so be cautious. I wished the grilled conger eel and conger eel soup came with real mango and melon instead of jelly. It's a shame there's no a la carte menu. There wasn't a set course that included everything I wanted to eat. The restroom had incense burning, giving a glimpse of a traditional Japanese restaurant.

【Ajikicho Bunbuan】Visiting traditional restaurants may have become rare for some, but the nostalgic atmosphere and the meticulous care put into the work were truly felt. Despite feeling a bit unsatisfied, the gentle dashi broth was very soothing, and it was a time to return to the basics. Suitable for important Japanese situations like entertaining guests or business meetings.【Menu】- Aperitif: Soka (Hyogo)- Appetizer: Red and white sashimi- Soup: Torikari daikon white miso- Sashimi: Needle squid, flathead fish- Hassun: Kamaboko, rolled omelette, sweet potato, black soybean kelp, simmered Wagyu, anglerfish liver jelly- Grilled dish: Grilled salmon with Kyoto miso, sweet potato pickled in plum vinegar- Simmered dish: Daikon, taro, lotus root- Rice dish: Red and white rice with daikon, carrot, lily root, pickles- Dessert: Pear ice cream06-6245-1055B1F Honmachi Garden City, 3-6-4 Honmachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka

Honmachi is a Japanese restaurant located on the basement floor of the St. Regis Hotel, which has been awarded one Michelin star. It is a great place for entertaining guests, and more affordable compared to Kichoutei. Even on weekdays, all the private rooms seemed to be fully booked. The restaurant is in a new hotel, so both the interior and exterior are very beautiful. It has a blend of traditional Japanese and modern Western elements. On this day, I opted for the kaiseki course in a private room. There are options for 10,000 yen and 15,000 yen, and I chose the 10,000 yen course. The presentation of the dishes was exquisite, with elaborate decorations. The delicate flavors were typical of Kichoutei. Despite being reasonably priced, there was no compromise on quality. While it lacks the warmth of a small independent restaurant, it is a great place for discussing business over a meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I checked out of Fairfield by Marriott Osaka Namba before 1 pm and was looking for a popular curry restaurant, but they were all sold out. So, I decided to treat myself to something delicious. I went to Bunkyu-an at The St. Regis Osaka, a famous Japanese restaurant. I ordered the Aoi course for 6,000 yen. The sake served as an aperitif was delicious, so I ended up ordering another cup. The food was really well-made and tasty. The atmosphere was also fantastic. I indulged in luxury during the day. I would love to come back for dinner if I have the chance.

It was a shop that caught my interest, and I was invited to come along. I didn't know this shop before coming. Inside, there wasn't a sense of luxury as I expected, but it seemed to be a popular place as customers were coming in one after another. The staff seemed used to being busy, but they still managed to answer questions about the food. Overall, the food was not surprisingly amazing in terms of seasoning or ingredients, but it was just delicious. However, the presentation was fantastic, with efforts made to impress the customers. You can feel the changing seasons through the way the food is arranged. Since the shop doesn't have a view of the outside scenery, this attention to detail may be intentional. Thank you for the meal.

Used for receptions. Used at a table for 5 people. There was nothing particularly impressive from appetizers to desserts. Not bad, but average for the price. Classic and orthodox dishes. The service was polite but unremarkable. The dishes and decor were disappointing. The good point was that the dishes had a seasonal feel ^_^ ← That's obvious (lol). Michelin star? I wonder what the criteria are. Thank you for the meal!

I went to have lunch on Sunday! I tried making a reservation at the affiliated store in Shinsaibashi four days ago, but it was fully booked. So, I called Bunbuan in Honmachi and was able to make a reservation. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, only the 5,000 yen course is available, so I chose that. Other customers also ordered the 5,000 yen course. The 3,000 yen course is only available on weekdays. I'll try that next time! Everything was top-notch, even the restroom. It was green and the dishes were served while still warm. The tea was changed every time, which made me visit the restroom multiple times. The variety of tea changed as well. We started with an aperitif, followed by sake, which was refreshing and served in small portions. The chilled jelly was delicious. The winter melon soup had a rich flavor. The sashimi was beautifully presented with sweet squid, expertly sliced. The next four dishes were beautifully decorated with sweet tomatoes that were truly sweet. Each dish was amazing. The eel was missing, but the replacement fish was good. The soup was followed by rice with distinct grains, which I personally liked. It would have been perfect if they had served it with white miso soup, but it was still a great experience enjoying the traditional flavors of the long-established Yoshikawa.

Kichiza is a top-notch restaurant, but I wasn't too interested in it being located in the basement of a hotel. However, when I heard that a familiar chef from Tokyo was coming back to further train here, I decided to visit to see their face. Located on the basement floor of The St. Regis Hotel, the interior was designed to resemble a water-side setting, creating a sophisticated Japanese atmosphere that didn't feel like a typical basement. We were seated in a raised tatami room with a view of the garden through a snow-viewing paper screen. The lunch options ranged from ¥3,000 to ¥12,000, with the ¥8,000 course being recommended. We opted for the ¥8,000 course. The dishes included a variety of autumn ingredients beautifully presented and deliciously prepared. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was elegant. It was a delightful dining experience that I highly recommend.

The high ratings of this place are a mystery. The atmosphere is leisurely, but the service is slow with no hot towels or water after ordering. The taste is average. The ingredients are cut nicely, but the taste doesn't match up. The lunch course is limited, and after having two drinks, the total bill felt expensive at around 7000 yen.
