The other day, while walking around Ikebukuro, I stopped by my favorite store, Gyomu Super, in Kami-Ikebukuro. As I walked through the store, I couldn't help but notice how cheap everything was! I suddenly felt like having pizza toast, so I bought some. I will definitely visit again!

Smoked oil-packed oysters (138) are cheap and a great deal! If you buy them at places like Kalidi or Seijo Ishii, they would probably cost double. Each oyster is quite small, but the jar is packed full so it's no problem at all. It's actually nice to have so many in one jar. They are delicious to eat on their own, and they would also go well mixed with rice for oyster rice or in a oyster peperoncino.

There is a branch of "Gyomu Super" in Kami-Ikebukuro. The supermarket has just the right floor space and offers a wide variety of products, always bustling with customers. Surprisingly, the customers are from various countries! The atmosphere is wonderful and exciting. This time, I visited to buy imported sweets. The lineup was more plain than I expected, perhaps due to the impact of the war in Europe. I ended up buying a French galette. Unlike the galette from the familiar Nasu Cistercian Order, this one had an excessive butter flavor. However, it was rich and delicious. The staff were all very kind and helpful. If this supermarket were near my home, I would visit it every day! It's a charming supermarket with a touch of foreign culture.
