◆At the time of visit, when searching for the keyword "2023 Basque" on Tabelog, this restaurant may have the highest rating among the top 100. The Basque cheesecake here is classic, incredibly delicious, and will leave you impressed!◆As for the restaurant, it is the first specialty store for Basque sweets in Japan, offering a limited selection of sweets, with the main items being Basque cheesecake, Gateau Basque, and bread. The inspiration comes from the highly popular bar LA VINA in San Sebastian, Basque Country, known for its cheesecake. Undoubtedly, it is a favorite spot for the elite in Shirokanemachi, drawing visitors from various regions in Kanto. "GAZTA" means cheese in Basque, making it a fitting name for the shop. Reservations are reportedly only accepted for 20 or more items.◆Impressions: Visiting around 3 p.m. on a weekend, there was no waiting or lining up. The interior is small, only accommodating 2-3 people at a time, but it exudes a stylish and luxurious atmosphere typical of Shirokanemachi. The service was pleasant. The Basque cheesecake was exceptionally delicious, with a perfect, straightforward taste that will surely appeal to everyone. It has a simple yet incredibly creamy texture, which adds to its deliciousness. I definitely want to try the Basque cheesecake again, and the chocolate flavor also looks incredibly delicious. It's a top-notch dessert that I highly recommend!◆Items received (food only)✔︎✔︎✔︎Basque cheesecake 800 yen◆Remarks:※Michelin and top 100 rankings include information from past periods.※Prices are inclusive of tax.⭐️Rating Criteria⭐️3 or below: Satisfied with just one visit⭐️3.5: Delicious, reasonably recommended⭐️4: Very delicious, highly recommended (recommend to friends)⭐️4.5: Ecstatic/exciting, will return/recommend without hesitation (confidently recommend even to food connoisseurs)⭐️5: Ultimate ecstasy, will go for a lifetime, highly, highly recommended (recommend to all)※Ratings are meticulously evaluated to the first decimal place. (Self-introduction)◆I visit approximately 700 restaurants nationwide annually, mainly in Aichi, Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Fukuoka. I explore various restaurants in my youth, seeking out places I want to frequent for a lifetime and revisit. I prioritize satisfaction relative to the amount paid.◆I value the reliability and objectivity of the information provided, and strive to include meal prices as a rule.◆To the restaurant staff: Thank you for providing opportunities to enjoy delicious food and memorable experiences amidst the challenging environments of COVID and rising ingredient prices.

Sweets Top 100 Shop GAZTA (・∀・) I arrived at the shop around 4 p.m. and there was no line, lucky me (^∀^) It was my first time, so I bought three items. I also purchased three recommended toppings that can change the flavor by the staff (・∇・) The flavors were maple syrup, homemade caramel sauce, and Basque salt. Personally, I recommend the Basque salt (*´ω`*) The sweet and salty taste is emphasized and it's incredibly delicious (*´∇`*) Of course, maple syrup goes well, and the slightly thick caramel sauce enhances the richness of the flavor. Each Basque cheesecake is substantial and satisfying ((o(^∇^)o)) Although it's a rich cheesecake, it's surprisingly light, and you can easily eat one without feeling heavy. It's super delicious even when eaten as is (*´ω`*) We were talking with the family that we could easily eat two each, so I should have bought six (´・∀・`) I heard there's a store at Isetan in Shinjuku, so I'll go buy some today, haha. Thank you for the meal (^人^)

The Basque cheese exceeded my expectations. This time, I chose a simple flavor that is creamy yet light, reaching a level of taste that cannot be described in words. Eating it cold is like eating ice cream. The bread is fluffy and chewy with a good bite, providing a satisfying volume of cream. The balance of sweetness is exquisite and keeps you interested until the last bite. It's a bread that makes you want to eat it again! I look forward to seasonal items and online-exclusive menus!

Visited a friend's office in Mita. Finished my business and headed to a shop I've been wanting to try, a Basque cheesecake specialty shop near Shirokane Takanawa Station. The shop is simple and stylish from the outside, and the interior is cozy. They had three types of cheesecakes, but I bought the classic "Gasta Tart." The cheesecake was creamy and delicious, with a mild flavor that made it easy to eat, and the sweetness was just right. Personally, I prefer baked cheesecakes with a bit more texture, but the Basque cheesecake from this shop was delicious. It's a cake that makes you want to eat it again.

[Selected as one of the top 100 sweets shops in Tokyo on Tabelog] I visited a Basque cheesecake specialty shop located about a 2-minute walk from Shirokane Takanawa Station, sandwiched between a high-rise building and a park. This shop inherited the original recipe of Basque cheesecake from the bar "La Viña" in San Sebastian, the gourmet capital of Spain, making it the only place in the world to do so. You can enjoy the faithfully recreated taste of the authentic original. Initially, there were long lines when they first opened, but when I visited on a weekend afternoon, there were only 3 groups inside and 1 group waiting outside. Upon entering the shop, I saw a showcase with plain cheesecake and about 2 other types of cheesecake. What I had: Basque Cheesecake (Plain) It's better to eat it chilled. At first, I bought it, brought it home, put it in the refrigerator, and after a while, when I ate half of it, I thought, "Hmm, this is okay, I guess." However, later on, after letting it chill properly and eating it, it was incredibly delicious. The cheese is rich. The texture is moist and light at the same time. It felt like a slightly firm baked custard. It's dense. Makes me want to visit Spain. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived around 10:30 am on Friday morning. No waiting. I think it's like GASTA TARTA Basque cheesecake, purchased for 800 yen. I said it's okay to have simple packaging since I'll eat it in the park across the street, and they provided it in a plastic bag with a 10 yen discount. Now, when I tried it, it was cold and incredibly rich! So delicious! It was a revelation! It felt a bit expensive for a quick bite, but the cost performance is really good! Thank you for the meal ^ ^ I will definitely go again!

- Order Basque Cheesecake 800 yen - Access: About a 2-minute walk from Shirokane Takanawa Station. - Waiting Information/Reservation Information: Reservations are generally not accepted, but reservations are possible for purchases of 20 or more. It's a small shop, so if there are customers already inside, you may have to wait outside. - Additional Information: The Basque cheesecake is famous, but in the summer, there is a limited edition Basque cheesecake ice cream called "Ice Cream Pan." - Dish/Basque Cheesecake: The texture of the Basque cheesecake is creamy, truly embodying the essence of a Basque cheesecake. The level of sweetness is indescribably perfect. The accent of honey is excellent. - Lastly, the best-tasting Basque cheesecake. It has a different deliciousness compared to the Majorca Basque cheesecake. #Sweets #Tabelog #GAZTA #Top100 #MokuLog

Basque cheesecake for 800 yen, white chocolate for 900 yen. The Basque cheesecake is incredibly delicious, it's the shop that got me hooked on Basque cuisine. The white chocolate has a subtle cheesecake flavor, mostly sweet chocolate which can be too overwhelming. Simple is still the best.

I finally visited the pioneer of Basque cheesecake. I was embarrassed to realize I had been misreading the name of the restaurant. I had been mistakenly pronouncing it in German^^; The correct name is "Gusta," it seems. They only had three types of cheesecake in the showcase: plain, chocolate, and white chocolate. I bought the plain one (800 yen). The service was polite but somewhat mechanical. I've had many heavy cheesecakes before, but surprisingly, this one was gentle and light. I was a bit bothered by the sticky feeling it left in my mouth at the end. I heard they have a seasonal pumpkin-flavored one in the fall. I definitely want to try that.

After returning from Maruichi Bagel, I bought Basque cheesecakes. I purchased Gasta Tar Tar (white chocolate) for 900 yen and Gasta Tar Tar for 800 yen. The Gasta Tar Tar (white chocolate) had a rich flavor of Basque cheesecake with the added richness of white chocolate. It was a delicious dish. Thank you for the meal! Namaste!

I had the Gas Tartare. The rich cheese asserts itself in a sticky way in the mouth, but strangely, it feels light. The sweetness is subtle, and the cheese's acidity comes in just right afterwards. It's delicious. It leaves a slightly different impression compared to Basque cheesecakes I've had before.

Near Maison Doreni. Visited during a weekday afternoon with only one other customer. They had three types of Basque cheesecake: plain, chocolate, and white chocolate. They also had white cream puffs. As it was my first visit, I purchased the Basque cheesecake for ¥800. It can last up to three days, which is convenient. They also make cheesecakes exclusive to the Shinjuku store. The moist and rich cheesecake tastes even better with a sprinkle of rock salt. Definitely a dish worth coming back for.

Just a minute from Shirokanetakanawa Station, inside the sister store of Maison Darni's cheesecake version, a shop selected as one of the top 100 sweets shops in 2023. It's a small shop for takeout only. I purchased three types of cakes: Basque cheesecake, white chocolate cheesecake, and chocolate cheesecake, along with a salt topping. The Basque cheesecake came in a yellow box with a ribbon marked with a "G," exuding love for the cheesecake. The box is designed to hold the cheesecake and ice pack, resembling a jewelry box. Despite its hard appearance, the cake cuts smoothly with a fork. It has a surprisingly smooth texture with a rich flavor, combining the richness of baked cheesecake and the fluffy texture of soufflé cheesecake. I was recommended to add salt topping, which significantly enhanced the flavor, creating a deeper and more sophisticated taste. The excitement from the packaging and the surprise upon tasting made it a perfect cheesecake. Thank you for the meal.

I had some time, so I stopped by to buy an authentic Basque cheesecake. I got an 8-centimeter Basque cheesecake and Basque salt to take home, and I sent 4 of them by cool delivery. The service was attentive and I truly felt that it was a renowned restaurant. When I ate it at home, it was quite sweet. It tastes delicious when you sprinkle Basque salt on it.

This time, I went to Gazuta with my partner. It's a specialty shop for Basque cheesecake, but we were actually there for the white cream bread we saw in an online article. We easily found the shop after leaving the station. The showcase displayed plain white chocolate Basque cheesecakes. Since we were after the cream bread, we ordered only the plain Basque cheesecake. The cream bread was just about to be baked when we expressed our interest in buying it, so we were able to purchase it a bit earlier than expected. After settling the bill, we planned to visit a sister shop selling canelés, so we asked for directions and were kindly guided. After leaving the shop, I couldn't resist and took a bite of the freshly made cream bread. The soft bread texture and rich cheese cream, with a surprising touch of saltiness that added to its deliciousness. As soon as I finished it, I turned back to buy more cream bread. The plain Basque cheesecake I had at home was delicious too, but the cream bread left a lasting impression. It's a dish I would definitely recommend to others. Thank you for the meal.

White Chocolate Basque Cheesecake ¥900, Chocolate Basque Cheesecake ¥920. It was incredibly delicious Basque cheesecake. Smooth and topped with 3 accents of baked chocolate. The cookie on top has a subtle saltiness that complements the rich chocolate flavor of the cheesecake, which is creamy and decadent. The white chocolate version feels unique. The chocolate one comes with whipped cream on the side. The takeout box is sturdy, making it a great little gift. The staff were all very nice. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a popular specialty store near Shirokane-Takanawa Station that features a charming exterior and Basque cheesecake around 10:30 on a weekday. Shirokane-Takanawa Station is a relatively new station, so it's convenient to have escalators and elevators. The station is also very close, which is convenient. The store has a clear sign with the name "GAZTA" in gold on a blue-gray concrete wall. In the showcase, there were 8cm-sized Basque cheesecakes lined up for ¥800 each. They looked rich and delicious, with a beautiful browned top. I love Basque cheesecake, so my eyes lit up with excitement. The staff at the store were very kind and cheerful, making shopping enjoyable. They explained things in detail. I noticed a poster for "ice cream bread" on top of the showcase, which piqued my interest. When I mentioned it might be a seasonal item, they kindly explained its appeal. I debated whether it would be messy to eat, but ultimately chose the seasonal ice cream bread for ¥600. It's an ice cream bread with a salty flavor. I had heard it's best to eat it semi-thawed, but I may have let it melt a bit too much. This sweets brand can often be found at events in department stores like Mitsukoshi and Isetan. I'm looking forward to going back to buy the Basque cheesecake next time.

At Gusta, the White Cream Pan for ¥500 is a rich yet not too heavy treat, with a refreshing balance of cheese and cream on a light pastry. It's delicious and worth the price, offering a generous amount of cream filling. They also offer online ordering, and it's a must-try delicious treat that you'll want to sink your teeth into.
