I quickly ate and headed home. At times like this, when I eat beef bowls or ramen, it's great, but I can't help but feel anxious about whether this kind of eating lifestyle is okay. I'm 35 years old, still young, but I need to be careful or it could be dangerous. If I keep eating high-fat meals claiming to be a gourmet blogger, I'll regret it. That's why I was curious about "Tanakatan-style seafood restaurant Uochu". I thought it was "Uotada", but it's actually pronounced "Uochu". It's a high-class izakaya in Fukuoka called "Tanakatan" that opened a set meal restaurant in Tokyo Station's Gransta. The seafood is carefully selected from Tsukiji Market. It's amazing that you can eat delicious set meals inside Tokyo Station. On November 16, 2022, at 7:27 PM, I arrived with one person. Oh, there are two people waiting in line. Both are women. The turnover should be fast, so I decided to wait. I was called in about 3 minutes. Now, let's check the menu. Do I want a bowl or a set meal? Well, on this day, as mentioned above, I came here wanting to eat something healthy. I understand. You want to say it's expensive, right? It's expensive for a set meal. But whether it's expensive or not will be judged after eating. The style is to choose the main dish and side dishes separately. The main dish is today's grilled fish. It was mackerel on this day. The side dish is tofu with toppings. I placed my order. "The grilled fish will take about 15 minutes to cook. Is that okay?" At this point, I couldn't change the main dish, so I had to wait. In reality, it arrived in about 13 minutes. The conclusion is that it was really amazing. It was the best salt-grilled mackerel of the year. It took 15 minutes to grill, so it was delicious everywhere. The outside was crispy and fragrant, and the meat was juicy and plump. The grilling was so amazing that I ate all the bones. I was a little surprised and ended up eating three bowls of rice (two large servings and one regular serving). What about wanting to eat something healthy? It's definitely not good to eat this much rice. But I couldn't help it. The grilled mackerel was so amazing. Well, not just the grilled mackerel, but the rice was incredibly delicious too. The grains were distinct, sweet, glossy, and plump. I can honestly say that I could eat a whole bowl of rice just by itself. By the way, the white miso soup and the sea bream with sesame sauce were also to my liking. So, even though it may seem expensive, I was able to enjoy such a wonderful set meal. I will definitely visit this place again. Thank you for the meal!!

I chose the "zen" option where you can pick a main dish and side dishes. I was tempted by the mackerel miso simmered fish for today's main dish, but I decided to go for tonkatsu as I haven't had it in a while. For the side dishes, I chose the light and refreshing tofu salad. The set also came with two other side dishes and pickles for ¥1,980, which felt like a good deal. Plus, you could have unlimited rice and pickles. The side dishes that came with the set were salmon with sesame dressing and shirasu with grated daikon. The pickles seemed to be mibuna pickles. The salmon with sesame dressing was so delicious that I almost wanted to order another highball to go with it. I couldn't help but feel a bit of regret for not choosing a fish dish as the restaurant's name is "Uotada" (fish loyalty), indicating that they excel in fish dishes. I arrived at the restaurant around 5 pm on a weekday, so the place was quite empty. They told me that the tonkatsu would take about 15 minutes, but it actually arrived sooner than expected. The restaurant had a jazz soundtrack playing, and you could occasionally hear announcements from the train station outside, adding to the nostalgic atmosphere of being in Tokyo Station. It was a delightful meal.

The price is high, but the taste is definitely worth it. I ordered the seafood bowl limited to Tokyo Station. If you want to eat fresh and delicious seafood, I recommend it! It had various types of fish and was delicious. You can also choose the amount of rice, so it's safe for those who eat less (I asked for a smaller portion).

I had a set meal for 1980 yen, where you can choose a side dish and a main dish. I chose grated yam and tuna sashimi. It also came with grated radish, salmon with sesame dressing, miso soup, pickles, and rice (with free refills). It was a generous and delicious meal, and I was very satisfied.

The main dishes today are grilled fish and simmered fish. Additionally, there is tonkatsu, grated tonkatsu, bluefin tuna sashimi, and salmon sashimi. For side dishes, you can choose from natto, okra and mallow salad, tofu with vegetables, and grated yam. I usually have grilled mackerel, but I decided to try something different this time. I had grilled salmon and tofu with vegetables. The grilled salmon had a crispy skin and was delicious. However, the sashimi today was also salmon. I wish it was sea bream instead. The miso soup had seaweed and mushrooms, and it was tasty. I always wonder why both the grated small fish and grated radish are served as side dishes, as they seem to overlap. But I guess it's good for the body, so it can't be helped. Thank you for the meal.

In the midst of the bustling Bon festival, I found a vacant shop and decided to try a slightly luxurious seafood bowl exclusive to Tokyo Station. Despite the price, it had good quality ingredients with three types of toppings: sesame sauce, soy sauce, and grated yam. The chawanmushi was also filled with plenty of ingredients.

I went to see off my children at the Shinkansen station and looked for a place to have lunch, but everywhere was crowded. I found a place where there was not much of a line, so I decided to wait without thinking too much. While waiting in line, I checked the menu one by one until I reached the entrance. I saw that they offered set meals where you could choose a main dish and a side dish, as well as seafood bowls. The bowls were a bit expensive for a quick meal, so we all ordered set meals. Each of us chose grilled fish, chopped salmon, and chopped tuna as our main dishes. We were supposed to be able to choose a side dish, but everyone chose tofu with vegetables. The other side dishes were part of the set meal. It seems like this place will become a regular spot for meals at Tokyo Station.

This restaurant is part of the Tanakatanda group, known for its high-class izakayas. I visited around 4 pm and didn't have to wait. Previously, they had a wide variety of seafood bowls, but this time they only had two options: regular seafood bowl and maguro bowl. I ordered the 5-kind seafood bowl which included salmon, sea bream, tuna, ikura, tamagoyaki, okra, and shiso. It came with chawanmushi, pickles, and miso soup. It's a high-quality seafood bowl option in the station area. I was a bit disappointed that they had fewer options compared to before.

Mother and date ❤️ Originally planned to go to Shin-Okubo, but suddenly my mother said she had to return to her hometown today, so we changed the meeting place to Tokyo Station where she can easily catch the Shinkansen. Grandsta Tokyo at noon on Saturday is crowded with people! So many people~ I arrived early and wandered around thinking where to have lunch, but ended up going to this place for the second time 🚶‍♀️ Tanaka-style seafood restaurant "Uotada-san". The restaurants at Grandsta are all busy but have a fast turnover so you don't have to wait too long. I waited for my mother to arrive, but even if you come early, they only seat you when your whole party is there, so I waited for about 30 minutes before we were seated. The draft beer is a bit pricey at 760 yen, but you can't miss it. My mother has a small appetite, so she ordered a simmered fish for 1000 yen and the set meal for 1980 yen where you can choose the main dish and side dishes. Last time I had simmered head of sea bream, but this time I chose simmered mackerel. The grilled fish was either salmon or mackerel, and I chose mackerel. All the dishes had a strong and rich flavor, which paired well with the alcohol. The main dish was not fish, but the miso was incredibly delicious. It was like a combination of white miso and another miso, with a perfect balance of sweetness and dashi! It was more like a snack than a meal, so I ended up leaving most of the rice, even though I like it slightly hard. The chicken nanban that the person next to me was eating looked delicious, and the rice bowls also looked tasty. There are so many dining options at Grandsta that it's easy to get overwhelmed, but I definitely want to come back here ☺️ Thank you for the meal~

On a weekday night, feeling hungry, my wife and I decided to dine here. To start off, we ordered two glasses of draft beer - so refreshing! We also ordered the daily sashimi and customizable set meal which includes a main dish and side dishes. I chose grated pork cutlet with natto, while my wife chose grilled salmon with okra and moroheiya salad. While waiting for our food, we ordered some additional drinks - lemon sour. The food arrived promptly, and we were impressed by the efficient service. The pork cutlet was topped generously with grated daikon radish, which was a nice touch. The side dish of shredded dried young sardines with grated daikon was also a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed dipping the pork cutlet in ponzu sauce with grated daikon and savoring it with our lemon sours. The sashimi was delicious, especially when paired with sesame soy sauce on rice. Natto with shredded dried young sardines on rice was also a favorite combination of mine. I couldn't resist trying a bite of my wife's grilled salmon, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was. And to top it off, rice and pickles were free for refills. A truly satisfying dining experience at "Tanakatanashiki Seafood Dining Uotada" in GRANSTA Tokyo.

I came here craving seafood, and usually I eat miso-marinated mackerel with red miso, so I ordered the marinated mackerel with mixed miso. It was rich and sweet, and delicious! The bones were removed, so it was easy to eat cleanly. The miso soup and rice were delicious, I wanted to have seconds.

As a reward to myself, I decided to dine alone at this restaurant inside Tokyo Station. I had already eaten quite a bit recently, so I ordered grilled fish, salmon roe, and enjoyed some beer and sake (Tanaka Rokugo). The total for 4 dishes came out to about 5000 yen. It's a bit pricey, but it's Tokyo, and it's Tokyo Station after all! I found out later that this Tanaka restaurant is a well-known high-end establishment with locations in Hakata and Nishi-Azabu as well. This dining spot is also part of that same group.

I knew that a relatively new restaurant had opened inside Tokyo Station, so this time I visited Sakanachu, which is known for its high-quality seafood. I ordered the lunch set with grilled mackerel. I visited this restaurant with my wife on our last date during a 2-night, 3-day trip to Tokyo. After indulging in rich meals every day, we decided to have Japanese cuisine for our final meal, and the miso-marinated mackerel was delicious. The miso soup and white rice were especially tasty, I even stole some of my wife's rice. The okra and moroheiya side dish, as well as the yellowtail with miso dressing, were also delicious. My wife and I were discussing how amazing it is to enjoy a meal of this quality in such a beautiful and world-renowned terminal station for only 1,980 yen. In London, isn't a Big Mac around 1,200 yen? In Tokyo Station, you can have a healthy and delicious meal at a fancy restaurant for 1,980 yen. It was so delicious that it was truly impressive in terms of cost performance. Delicious! Thank you for the meal!

There is a shop in Fukuoka as well. The menu was smaller than in Fukuoka, but the fish was fatty and incredibly delicious! The miso soup and pickles made the rice disappear quickly. Of course, you can have seconds! It was quite crowded in the evening on a holiday! I wish they had more menu options like in Fukuoka. 😂

I came to Tokyo Station for work and decided to have lunch. I chose the simmered flounder. I was happy that I could choose a main fish dish and side dishes. The seasoning of the flounder was good, and the salmon pickled side dish was also delicious. I was so envious of the group next to me who were having lunch beers, so next time I will come when I'm not working!!!! They also seemed to have sake (*^^*)

I use this place when I want to eat fish after work. The set meal is priced at around 2000 yen, which is a bit expensive, but the tuna sashimi, sesame-flavored sea bream, and choice of side dishes are all delicious. Above all, I love the sweet and rich taste of the white miso and blended miso soup. I wish they would sell the miso separately.

I stopped by quickly after returning from a trip with friends to Tokyo. The seafood bowl was decently delicious, neither good nor bad. Considering the quality you can find at a station, it was quite tasty. If you feel like having seafood at Tokyo Station, I would stop by again.

During this rainy season, I found myself without an umbrella when the rain started earlier than expected. I decided to explore the underground passage in Yaesu, near Tokyo Station, to find something to do. As I walked through the underground passageway on the north side of Tokyo Station, I remembered a certain restaurant called "Tanakatanaka" that I had heard about. It is known as a high-end izakaya, but I couldn't afford to go there. However, I remembered that they also have a cafeteria, so I decided to check it out. The menu outside the restaurant caught the attention of some people passing by, who then left. I assumed it was because of the high price of the seafood bowl, which was around 3,500 yen. Despite this, I decided to give it a try and entered the restaurant. It was around 7:30 pm and there were plenty of empty seats. I was seated at the counter and noticed they had a set menu where you could choose a main dish called "Zen no Maki" for 1,980 yen. I decided to go for it, choosing the main dish of tuna and the side dish of natto. The meal arrived shortly after I ordered, and it was quite substantial. It included pickles, sesame mackerel, and shredded dried young sardines with grated daikon. The devil's whisper of "rice refills are free" was also tempting. The tuna was carefully selected, with both fatty and medium fatty cuts. The sesame mackerel was well-balanced and the shredded dried young sardines with grated daikon was excellent with soy sauce. The miso soup had a rich broth. Before I knew it, I had asked for a rice refill. I was impressed by the quality of the food, especially considering the location inside Tokyo Station. The price of 1,980 yen may seem a bit high for a set meal, but the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience made it worth it. I would like to try other main dishes in the future. Overall, I found this cafeteria to be a good place to eat, especially if you enjoy eating a lot of rice. It may not make me want to visit "Tanakatanaka," but it's a good option when you want to avoid the rain and take the train home through the underground passage.
