Recently, I've been wandering around Koiwa. Compared to when I used to attend dance classes, there have been a lot of changes due to the reopening of the north exit. This restaurant, which apparently opened about two years ago, was recommended by someone I hadn't seen in a while, so I decided to visit. It seemed to be a sushi restaurant? Run by a Thai couple with counter seats and table seats. When I entered, I noticed that the interior was dimly lit. They only turn on the light bulb on the table when customers arrive to save electricity (laughs). And it was hot. They only turn on the air conditioning when customers arrive... etc. The menu was just one page, hmm, nothing special... just standard items. When I asked the mama, she said she was from Bangkok, ah, I see. As we chatted, I found out that they sell curry for takeout to massage girls at the many Thai massage parlors nearby via LINE. I've never tried shrimp larb before. Hmm... it's delicious, but I feel like it's lacking in herbs. I ordered the Nam Kruk Saikrok Isaan, which was recommended to me instead of the one they didn't have. Oh, it's definitely spicy (laughs). The seasoning is delicious even though it's a bit light on herbs like basil and lemongrass. The crispy fried pork with garlic is well seasoned and makes a great drinking snack. The Pappet Pla Raduk, a dried type of curry, was recommended as today's curry. My companion, who loves catfish, had bought a bag for takeout and they served it with rice for us. I didn't used to like catfish when I lived in Thailand, but this one was delicious. The spiciness hits you right in the throat (laughs). The main target customers seem to be the massage girls who come in sporadically for quick meals or takeout. The seasoning is delicious, and even though the chef barely speaks Japanese, he spoke slowly in Thai for me, and the mama was also considerate, but... maybe it's because the last restaurant I went to was too delicious, but I felt slightly unsatisfied. I was too full to order noodles, but I might want to go back to try them. Thank you for the meal!
