Hi~. After overeating during last week's ramen adventures, I decided to take a break this week! (*´ω`*) And since a week has passed, let's go for some ramen again! ε=(ノ゚Д゚)ノ Yaay!! It's currently 10 PM on Saturday. Oh no! Most ramen shops are probably closed by now, especially in Kanagawa... I don't want to go too far, so I ended up here at "Ooka-ya Tsurugawa Branch"! This place has its main branch in Kamoi and another branch in Mukogaoka Yuen. The main branch is more towards the "Ichiro-ke" style, but leaning towards "Machida Shouten" maybe? It's located just a 2-minute walk from Tsurugawa Station on the Odakyu Line. Right after crossing the railroad crossing. The interior has an L-shaped counter only. When I entered around 11 PM, there were 3 customers already. There's a ticket machine on the left after entering. Each seat has a cup and a pot for water. The shop is not very spacious. It's a small, cozy place. The staff consists of one person, probably the owner? A bit quiet but greeted us properly. The menu had an interesting item called "Healthy Soup Vegetable"! But it seems like it's not ramen. Oh, now that I think about it, "Ikkakuya" also used to serve such ramen, right? The taste here was... ● Order: Ramen (regular, firm noodles, extra noodles) - 690 yen, Extra nori (5 sheets) - 80 yen, Rice - 100 yen. The noodles are medium-thick, wide straight noodles cooked to a firm texture. They are quite thin and flat noodles, with a slightly rough texture. Not too chewy, with a slightly weak firmness. The noodles don't have much bounce. The broth is a tonkotsu-based creamy soup with a decent soy sauce flavor, slightly salty. The richness is a bit lacking, and there's a hint of sweetness. The chicken oil is added generously but lacks in flavor. The soup consistency is thin, with a slightly low soup quantity. The soup is served piping hot. The toppings include two slices of normal-sized, slightly thin chashu that are juicy and flavorful, spinach with a slight bitterness, and a seasoned quail egg. The nori sheets are dark green and slightly crispy. The rice portion is average. Overall, a unique take on the traditional ramen shop style. The noodles were different from the usual "Shinomiya Shouten" style.
