I visited the collaboration afternoon tea with Kyoto Fukujuen last year with my friends. They use carefully selected high-quality tea leaves for their sweets, and you can also enjoy Japanese tea. You can order two drinks, including tea, but you can also order other drinks. We went with three people, so we each tried different teas, and they were all delicious, whether it was green tea, Japanese black tea, or genmaicha. The sweets and savories are designed to pair well with the teas, so I recommend trying something you can't find anywhere else when you visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to the collaboration event between Fukujuen and the Imperial Hotel, "Japanese Tea Afternoon Tea - Summer Fruits with Tea," held from June 1st to August 31st, 2023. The menu included various sweets using Fukujuen tea leaves, fruit-based sweets, and other desserts. The tea-themed treats were light and delicious.

I had the collaboration afternoon tea with Fukujuen at the Imperial Hotel 1F lounge (6/1-8/31). Fukujuen × Imperial Hotel Japanese Tea Afternoon Tea ~Summer Fruits with Tea~ ¥6000 (regular price) ¥5400 (My Imperial member price) [Welcome Drink] - Cold-brewed green tea non-alcoholic cocktail [Savory] - Marinated shrimp and asparagus - Summer vegetable quiche - Galician-style octopus bruschetta - Pate de Campagne and mango pinchos [Sweets using Fukujuen tea leaves] - Fukujuen genmaicha panna cotta - Fukujuen deep-steamed sencha jelly - Fukujuen roasted tea ganache crepe - Fukujuen matcha affogato [Fruit-based sweets] - Mango mousse - White peach pie - Fig tart - Pineapple and mango cocktail - Grape verrine [Other sweets] - Scones with clotted cream and seasonal jam (blueberry) - Raspberry macaron, bitter chocolate bonbon, black sugar canelé The content includes a welcome drink, savory items, tea sweets in a two-tiered box, fruit sweets on a high tea stand, crepe, and affogato served separately. You can also choose two types of drinks. The welcome drink was a refreshing blend of green tea, Cognac water, and lemon. The savory items were light and perfect for summer. The sweets were diverse and satisfying, with unique flavors like genmaicha panna cotta and sencha jelly. Overall, it was a delightful afternoon tea experience with a wide variety of delicious treats!

I rediscovered the deliciousness of Japanese tea with carefully selected, fragrant tea leaves used in sweets. My favorite was the welcome drink, a non-alcoholic cocktail made with cold-brewed green tea as a base, with lemon and soda added for a refreshing summer drink! You can choose from two types of drinks. The exclusive tea leaves for the Japanese tea afternoon tea are served by drip tea at the table. "Kyoto Fukujuen" Green Tea, a gentle green tea blended with 7 types of tea leaves for this afternoon tea, has a subtle sweetness that is very delicious. "Kyoto Fukujuen" Japanese Black Tea has a beautiful red color and a smooth mouthfeel! It's my favorite among all the Japanese black teas I've tried. The White Peach Pie with a mild sweetness of white peach compote and custard is absolutely delicious. The Panna Cotta with Genmaicha from Fukujuen has a fragrant aroma of roasted rice tea and a smooth and creamy texture that I really like. The Summer Vegetable Quiche with pumpkin, paprika, bacon, and zucchini is visually stunning with its colorful 4 layers. I enjoyed a graceful time listening to live violin music. Menu [Welcome Drink] - Non-alcoholic cocktail made with cold-brewed green tea [Sweets using Fukujuen tea leaves] - Panna Cotta with Genmaicha from Fukujuen - Jelly with Fukujuen Deep Steamed Sencha - Crepe with Fukujuen Roasted Tea Ganache - Affogato with Fukujuen Matcha [Sweets using fruits] - Mango Mousse - White Peach Pie - Fig Tart - Pineapple and Mango Cocktail - Grape Bavarois [Other Sweets] - Scones with clotted cream and seasonal jam - Macarons - Bonbon Chocolates with Raspberry and Dark Chocolate - Black Sugar Cannele [Savory] - Marinated Shrimp and Asparagus - Summer Vegetable Quiche - Galician-style Octopus Bruschetta - Pate de Campagne and Mango Pinchos Fukujuen x Imperial Hotel Japanese Tea Afternoon Tea ~Summer Fruits with Tea~ June 1, 2023 (Thursday) - August 31, 2023 (Thursday)

I went to a strawberry buffet with a friend and first of all, the seats were spacious and we could relax comfortably! Not only were the cakes delicious, but the light snacks were also irresistibly tasty. Most of all, I was completely satisfied with being able to eat plenty of fresh strawberries.

I visited here to enjoy afternoon tea. The staff were considerate of my situation and adjusted the menu accordingly. Their service was truly imperial. I was able to enjoy two types of tea leaves and could also add hot water if needed. It was a relaxing experience.

On October 23, 2022, I went to the collaboration event between Fukujuen and Imperial Hotel, the "Japanese Tea Afternoon Tea." I thought I could only choose 2 drinks, but it turned out to be 2 cups in a teapot, haha. The first cup was organic JAS Gyokuro from Kyoto, and the second cup was Dimbula. There were more dishes than I expected, but everything was delicious and I finished them all. It was good that I skipped breakfast! The menu included sweets using Fukujuen tea leaves such as Hojicha Tiramisu, Deep-steamed Sencha Jelly, Hojicha Water Mochi, Matcha Blancmange, and Matcha Affogato. Other sweets were Imperial Hotel's seasonal pancakes, Mont Blanc, Pear Compote, Opera Macaron, Financier, Orangette, and Scones with Clotted Cream and seasonal jam. The food items included Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Sandwich, Scallop and Ratatouille Tartlet, Beef Red Wine Stew Quiche, and Pate de Campagne Bruschetta. #ImperialHotelOsaka #ThePark #Sweets #JapaneseTeaSweets #AfternoonTea #JapaneseTeaAfternoonTea #Fukujuen #JapaneseTea #BlackTea

Peter Rabbit's Afternoon Tea (price not specified, ticket required). - Visit time: Weekday, reservations available after 2pm. - Reservation: Required. I made a reservation by phone 2-3 weeks in advance, but weekends and holidays were fully booked about 5 days. - Crowdedness: About 6 groups of Afternoon Tea customers. Several other groups. - Time limit: 2-hour limit. - Drinks: Welcome drink included, with an option to choose 2 additional drinks. Limited selection of flavored teas. - Service speed: Average. - Sweetness: More on the savory side, moderate. - Quantity: On the smaller side. Just right for a typical woman as a lunch substitute. Overall, the portions are small, but with a variety of food items, making it easy for Afternoon Tea beginners to enjoy. The taste and service are top-notch, as expected from The Imperial Hotel.

It must have been over 8 years ago when I begged my husband to take a trip to the Lake District. Due to budget constraints, we had a very short stay, but we stayed at the clean and pleasant B&B called Cambridge House in Windermere. We took a cruise on the lake, visited Hill Top Farm associated with Beatrix Potter, and were surprised to find Japanese pamphlets there. Recently, to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the publication of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit," the Imperial Hotel Osaka's lounge "The Park" offered a limited-time Peter Rabbit-themed afternoon tea. It was a bit more expensive than their usual afternoon tea, but the cute decorations were irresistible. The best thing about the Imperial Hotel is that not only is everything adorable, but all the food and desserts are delicious. I was thoroughly satisfied. I have a strange fascination with rabbits, as they are often adored but also end up being killed and eaten, which is why I was drawn to the character of Peter Rabbit. I remember feeling nervous when I read the line "Let's cut off the rabbit's ears and use them to clean the record" in a manga by Mutsu Hagiwo. Well, I guess I'm a bit of a weirdo.

Strawberry Buffet for ¥6000. I went on Sunday at 12:15. The seating was not too crowded, about 50% full. You can easily get food from the buffet corner without waiting in line. The time limit is 120 minutes. Initially, 3 desserts are brought to your table. You have to tell the staff what food you want, so you can't adjust the quantity or choose specific ingredients. However, you can help yourself to drinks. There were 3 types of strawberries, and I ate 60 of them. I mainly focused on eating strawberries rather than desserts. The best rice dish was the tuna and olive open sandwich. The best dessert was the Milletine, which was like a pie. If you take too much food, the staff will help carry it to your table!笑

At the British fair, I enjoyed the cakes, scones, and savory dishes, but when I tried to order more tea, the staff apologized and said they couldn't offer a different type of tea, only add hot water to the pot. I was disappointed because there were usually several types of tea on the menu at British fairs, and I was looking forward to trying something new. There was a lack of staff, and service was slow - no one greeted us when we entered, it took a long time to be served, and when I tried to order more tea, I was ignored. Also, tables of departing customers were left uncleaned and ignored for over 30 minutes. I left feeling quite disappointed, wondering if this was how the Empire Hotel always operated.

Visited for a break on Sunday. Arrived at the restaurant around 13:40, had to wait for about 5 minutes because it coincided with the lunch buffet time. Chose the cake set for 1,650 yen (plus a 10% service charge) with a Mont Blanc and an iced cafe latte. The Mont Blanc was irresistible for chestnut and chocolate lovers. It was not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness. You can have refills for the drinks. I had the impression that cafes in hotels are expensive, but I felt like I got a good deal being able to relax and have refillable drinks.

Seasonal Afternoon Tea Set (Spring) ¥5,000 I don't usually have high expectations for hotel afternoon tea sets, but this one was delicious! Especially the savory items! I didn't take a photo, but it also came with mini pancakes and a mini parfait, so it was very filling.

The "Strawberry Sweets Buffet" at the Imperial Hotel Osaka in 2021 is being held from January 12th to May 31st. The buffet costs ¥5,800 (including tax and service charge) and features a lineup of 36 items including sweets and savory dishes. Some of the items include strawberry tartlets, strawberry-banana-orange juice, strawberry tiramisu, strawberry Mont Blanc, strawberry Danish, strawberry shortcake, chocolate strawberry mille-feuille, strawberry tart, strawberry mousse, berry berry roll, pancake with strawberry sauce, and a comparison of three types of strawberries. The buffet also includes various sandwiches, smooth sweet potato cream soup, shrimp and mushroom pilaf with butter aroma, keema curry pizza, and chef's recommended penne. Drinks such as coffee, tea, and juice are also available. The staff serves all the food and drinks, and measures are taken to prevent overcrowding when getting food. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and taste were excellent.

Limited time event, the Strawberry Festival. I love strawberries so much, so I decided to give it a try for the first time! The time was only 90 minutes, but they had sandwiches, pasta, and rice dishes like pilaf to slightly fill up the stomach before indulging in strawberries. There were 3 types of strawberries alone, and then smoothies, cakes, mousses, tarts, chocolates, ice creams, and more, with over 30 varieties. I tried my best, but couldn't conquer them all. The decorations were cute and perfect for Instagram, and I had a wonderful time! The staff were polite, as expected from the Imperial Hotel. I would love to go again someday! (^^)

We used it for Christmas dinner. Although the price was slightly higher than usual, there was a special event with Santa Claus and photo shooting, which made the children very happy. The menu was Christmas-themed, but they also provided essential regular items like roast beef. They even had trendy items like tapioca in consomme soup. It was a very satisfying dinner.

The destination is Roast Beef JR Osaka Station, where you can take a private shuttle bus to Teikoku in about five minutes. It's a perfect buffet for a girls' night out. While the variety of dishes may not be extensive, the hand-cut roast beef is elegantly served on your plate when you order. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, perfect for a change of pace. It's like playing Michelin star restaurant pretend. Thank you for reading. As a food coordinator and cooking instructor, I have a lot of interest in food and spend more than half of my month eating out. I sometimes add my own original comments.

Enjoy an elegant tea time with live clarinet music! The lounge "The Park" inside the Imperial Hotel has a glass wall where you can see the outside view, and the high ceiling gives a sense of openness. I ordered a tea set with a choice of cakes and tea. I chose a shortcake and chamomile hot tea. The tea pot served three cups, which was nice! The cake had a fluffy sponge and a gentle sweetness of cream. It was delicious!

Stayed at the Imperial Hotel for the 2019 fresh greenery gathering - so excited! I had a great breakfast when I stayed at the Imperial Hotel in Ryogoku a while back, so I had high expectations. After a night of drinking in Kita-Shinchi, I went to bed at 11 pm and woke up ready for breakfast. When I got to the breakfast venue on the 2nd floor, there was a line, but the hotel staff said I could also eat on the 1st floor. I moved there and found it less crowded. The buffet had fewer options than I expected, and I missed the omelet station. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. I ended up having a TKG (tamago kake gohan) with mentaiko to fill me up. It was a relaxing morning in the spacious room, reading a novel.

Cherry blossom viewing at Sakuranomiya. I stopped by The Park, the lobby lounge on the 1st floor of the Imperial Hotel. I ordered the Afternoon Tea Set and an Apple Pie. The lounge is spacious and perfect for relaxing. While coffee costs over 1,000 yen per cup, the Afternoon Tea Set and Apple Pie set come with a drink included, so it's not too expensive. The Afternoon Tea Set at the Imperial Hotel lounge is top-notch. But what surprised me the most was the Apple Pie. It was incredibly delicious. I was truly impressed by the Apple Pie.
