Located in the Oshima area of Sunamachi Ginza shopping street, this Chinese restaurant caught my eye with its affordable prices for bento boxes. I decided to try out their offerings and purchased the following items: handmade meat bun and vegetable bun (each ¥100), and handmade eight treasures sticky rice (¥250). The meat bun and vegetable bun were small in size with a firm outer layer, giving them a dim sum-like quality. The seasoning was light, making them suitable for dipping in soy sauce. The eight treasures sticky rice contained various beans, with red beans being the main ingredient and chestnuts and lotus seeds mixed in. It had a subtle sweetness and tasted like a Chinese-style red rice, which was quite interesting. While the meat bun was not to my liking, the sticky rice was quite enjoyable. I think trying their stir-fried dishes might showcase the true flavors of this restaurant.

It's been a while since I strolled through Sunamachi Ginza shopping street. It seems like there are some new stores opening up. Perhaps due to the aging population, some stores have closed down and been renovated. They mentioned wanting to try dumplings, so I bought some. The dumplings looked delicious, with shiitake mushrooms peeking out. They were tasty even when cold. The softness of the sticky rice and the seasoning were excellent. The flavor was not too Chinese nor did it have any strong flavors. I devoured this portion easily! Thank you for the meal!

Next to the popular Marusho greengrocer where long queues form in Sajimachi Ginza Shopping Street, a Chinese sweets and dim sum takeout shop has opened. They offer a variety of items such as fried buns, xiaolongbao, dumplings, and Chinese fried cakes. On this day, I tried the xiaolongbao, sesame dumplings, and others. The staff, a Chinese woman who seems to have never been to Japan, speaks broken Japanese but manages to explain the menu items like "Kore renti choto chinsuru yo." She is not particularly friendly but not unpleasant either. The prices are incredibly cheap and the food is reasonably delicious.

One store in Sunamachi Shopping Street, which seems to be originally a Chinese restaurant, but they don't use the indoor space. Instead, they place tables outside and sell dim sum and side dishes. The Shanghai-style glutinous rice-filled shumai is not bad. The meat bun has celery in the filling, which may be unfamiliar to Japanese people, but it's also not bad. It's a quietly authentic local spot.
