A sweets shop located in Dojima-hama known for their famous Dojima Roll. I happened to pass by nearby, so I decided to visit. The exterior of the shop is stylish, and the interior is bright and clean. The display case is filled with cakes, while shelves are lined with baked goods. Apart from the Dojima Roll, they also offer a variety of other items. They had a rich selection of baked goods, including items labeled as exclusive to the main store. After some deliberation, I purchased the Dojima Roll, Cannele, and Apricot Cake.
- Dojima Roll (356 yen): The cake is light and fluffy with a rich milk flavor. The cream has a refreshing texture that complements the cake well. It's so light that you can eat a lot without feeling heavy. The cake melts in your mouth, and the combination of cream and cake is superb. It's no wonder it's so popular.
- Cannele (280 yen): Moist with a strong rum flavor. The cake is chewy and has a rich sweetness. This was also a high-quality Cannele.
- Apricot Cake (280 yen): Strong apricot flavor with a moist and elegantly sweet cake. Another high-quality treat.
While the Dojima Roll was undeniably delicious, the other baked goods also displayed a high level of quality. The shop not only excels in trendy items but also demonstrates solid expertise in traditional Western sweets.

I have had Dotonbori rolls a few times before, but I have never visited the main store, so I made a little detour to visit. I visited on a Saturday at around 1:35 pm, with 4 customers before me and 3 customers after me. I purchased the following items:
- Seasonal Dotonbori Roll Melon Cut (450 yen): A limited-time item with a moist sponge cake wrapped around milky cream, custard cream, and fresh cut melon. The sweetness was just right, and the seasonal melon matched perfectly, making it delicious.
- Happiness Wrap (380 yen): A soft crepe filled with milky cream, custard cream with vanilla beans, and a rich cheesecake with a good balance of richness and acidity. The three flavors mixed well together, enhancing the overall deliciousness.
Thank you for the meal.

One of the top three giants of personal roll cakes, with a fluffy texture that seems to crumble when touched. Be careful when cutting or lifting it, as the soft cream is milky and the sweetness is moderate. It is like a fusion of moist and soft castella cake with milky cream. Personally, I recommend the chocolate flavor - it's seriously the best.

I visited because I was craving Dojima Roll after a long time. They had seasonal flavors like peach and melon, and I couldn't decide which one to get... so I ended up buying a half size of each. The moist and fluffy texture of the cake, along with the creamy yet light taste of the cream, was delicious as always. The seasonal Dojima Rolls had a strong aroma and taste of each fruit.

When I first tried it, it was such a shock. The Dojima roll. The cream is incredibly delicious! Light, fluffy, sweet, melts in your mouth without being too sweet or heavy... As I've gotten older, I can't really handle sweet things as much anymore, but with this, I could eat it all up! The soft, yet chewy, dough part is also delicious. If it's too dry, my body can't handle it. This one I can eat...! The cream and the dough are both individually perfect. There was a time when there were fancy rolls with various fruits inside like the Cinderella roll, but simple is best after all! This one is the most delicious!! The price was ¥1620 for one roll! Is that expensive for a plain roll? It was enough for a family of four, so cost-wise, it's great. There was also a half size for ¥810, but I wouldn't feel like cutting it if it was that size, I might just end up eating it all by myself.

It has become a tradition for me to buy a Daimaru Roll from Salon de Mon Chou as a souvenir for my family when I go on business trips. Once again, I happily purchased a half Daimaru Roll for 860 yen and a seasonal half strawberry Daimaru Roll for 1188 yen. Maybe I enjoy it the most rather than my family.

On February 25, 1993, TRF (TK Rave Factory) celebrated its 30th anniversary since the release of their first album "trf~THIS IS THE TRUTH~" and first single "GOING 2 DANCE/OPEN YOUR MIND" (the famous "EZ DO DANCE" was the second single). As a fan who pre-ordered and purchased the first album, I was deeply moved to remember the day. However, I found out that a collaboration roll cake with this store was being released, and as one of the 150,000 fans who would buy anything if Tetsuya Komuro released it, I couldn't resist buying it. The cake sold out quickly at first release, but I managed to reserve it as soon as it was available again. About a month later, the cake arrived via cool delivery service. After thawing it in the refrigerator, I opened it at the perfect time to eat. Each of the five members (there were over 10 members at the debut) was represented in the cake, and I tried the mandarin orange roll cake inspired by YUKI, who is from Ehime. The creamy filling with mandarin peel was smooth, and the fluffy sponge cake had a delightful texture. I shared the other rolls with my family, tasting a little bit of each to remember the characteristics of each member. I only saw them perform live once in collaboration with access, but I still listen to their songs produced by Komuro occasionally, reminiscing about the passage of 30 years. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Enjoy a moment of happiness at the Dotonbori Roll Namba Station permanent store while listening to jazz BGM on wired A13, watching the newly started TV drama series "Ranman" in the first week. Oh, and don't forget to have a Starbucks decaf coffee as your drink choice.

I went to "Mon Cher Dolmio Honpo" in Minamimorimachi, Osaka on this day. I happened to pass by nearby, so I thought why not give it a try. I was aiming for the "Osaka Dolmio Roll", but to my surprise, they were selling a seasonal limited edition item called "Seasonal Dolmio Roll Strawberry". I couldn't resist a limited edition product that I can only enjoy during this season. The strawberry, which I love and can only eat at this time of year, was used in this seasonal limited edition item. I chose the default "Dolmio Roll" without hesitation. The "Seasonal Dolmio Roll Strawberry" is available from December 26, 2022 to May 14, 2023. It features strawberries and custard cream hidden in the Dolmio Roll. Enjoy the meeting of sweet and sour strawberries with fluffy cream. Half of the roll costs 1100 yen (including tax). The next limited edition item, "Seasonal Dolmio Roll Pistachio", will be available from April 1st. It is a roll cake made by kneading pistachios, known as the "Queen of Nuts", into the dough and cream. Chopped pistachios are mixed into the dough for texture. I always feel grateful for being able to eat my favorite foods with my favorite people whenever I want. It's such a happy thing to be able to enjoy good food to your heart's content. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I attended the Osaka Auto Messe held at Intex Osaka. After having lunch at Zagan, I remembered that my father wanted a Dojima roll. Since it's close to Zagan, I decided to buy it on the way. So, I headed to this shop. I arrived around 2:30 pm, and there were about 4-5 groups of customers inside. I purchased the Dojima roll for 1,500 yen. When I got home, it was snack time at 3 o'clock! I opened it immediately and started eating! The egg flavor was distinct, and the soft and moist texture of the dough was exquisite. The cream inside was a milky cream mainly made from Hokkaido milk. This was so delicious! I have had Dojima roll before, but it never tasted this good. Maybe they have improved it? My father brewed coffee for us, and we finished it in no time. The staff's service was not bad, but they seemed very busy and lacked smiles. A bit more cheerfulness and attentiveness would make it even better. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Located a 5-minute walk from Yodoyabashi, Higobashi, and Nishi-Umeda subway stations, this shop is just before Watanabebashi if coming from Umeda. Inside the shop, you can find a variety of attractive sweets, including seasonal strawberry cakes and cute baked goods, in addition to the famous Doshima Roll. I tried the Seasonal Doshima Roll Strawberry Half (¥1188), which had a deliciously moist sponge cake with a hint of egg flavor. Despite the generous amount of cream, it was light and satisfyingly tasty. The perfect balance of delicious cream and juicy strawberries made it a delightful roll cake. I also noticed a cute assortment of rose financiers (with raspberry and apricot flavors) that caught my eye.

<2023.1> New discovery ❤️ Although I love Dojima Rolls and used to buy them often at Shin-Osaka, this might be my first time trying their cakes?? Initially, I thought I'd just get a cake, but ended up also getting a Dojima Roll (*´ー`*) The cake had a lightly sweet cream which made it very easy to eat, and the smell of the fresh cream was delightful ❤️ The staff were also very nice. They had a wide variety of baked goods too! It's conveniently close to the Elserran Hotel where I often stay, so I'll definitely be back (^ー^) Thank you for the delicious meal ⭐

"Mon Chou Chou" is famous for its Dojima Rolls. This was my first time visiting the main store. On December 23rd, I happened to pass by the store and saw that there were no customers. Since I was looking for a Christmas cake, I decided to stop by. I tried the Mini Noel Roll (White 702 yen, Chocolat 756 yen), which is like a mini version of the Dojima Roll, perfect for one person. The decorations on each roll were cute and unique. The cake itself was not as soft as the Dojima Roll, but it had a creamy taste that was reminiscent of it. I tried the Chocolat flavor, which had a balance of sweetness and a hint of bitterness, giving it an "adult cake" feel. The appearance was also elegant and the size was just right for one person. It was a great purchase! Thank you for the delicious treat. Located near the Keihan Nakanoshima Line Watanabebashi Station, just a short walk from the north side of Watanabebashi North Junction.

The chocolate scent from the roll cake was very delightful. I haven't really experienced the scent of a roll cake before, so I was very happy. It was clear that it became popular with just sponge and cream. It was really delicious.

I purchased a half-size Dojima roll at the Isetan food event in my neighborhood. It had been a while since I last had one. I chose the half-size because the regular size was sold out. Even though it was a half-size, I indulged by cutting it into two equal parts. It was quite thick and satisfying to eat. It wasn't too sweet, and I enjoyed it quickly. Thank you for the meal. Item eaten: Dojima Roll (half-size) 718 yen

There is a shop located a little below the base of Watanabe Bridge over the Dojima River. The simple finish of the Dojima Roll stands out in its deliciousness. The dough is tasty, and the cream inside is exquisite! I enjoyed it very much.

In Osaka, when it comes to roll cakes, the famous Dojima Roll is a must-try as a souvenir. The Dojima Roll is filled with plenty of fresh cream and looks beautiful with a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top. When sliced, the cream is sweet but not overwhelming, and the sponge cake is light and fluffy, making it delicious. The simplicity allows the flavors of the ingredients to shine through, which is why it's so popular. Additionally, there were some cute rose-shaped financiers in various colors, all resembling roses. While they all tasted good, they didn't have much variation in flavor. The buttery taste was prominent in all of them. There was also a selection of various mini-sized cakes in the assortment, all moist and delicious. Lastly, there were Dojima Petit Rolls, which are baked goods designed to have a longer shelf life, so they shouldn't be compared to the Dojima Roll. They had a slightly dry texture but were tasty as baked goods. Of course, the Dojima Roll was the most delicious among them all. It's interesting to see the variety of baked goods available, and I look forward to trying more in the future. Check out snack_akemi's blog for more content! In the past, I used to often receive "Dojima Roll" as a souvenir♪ It's delicious with plenty of whipped cream♡ This time, I chose a New Year's package as a souvenir for New Year's and a set of baked sweets to enjoy at home. It's nice that they can last for about a month. They were very happy with it (*'▽'*). They are all delicious with a moderate sweetness♡ It's a happy time to enjoy them with tea. Thank you for the meal (๑>◡<๑)
