We lightly had lunch at "MOS BURGER" because we were planning to visit "Sakura" in Takarabune, where the talented chef Ryuhiko Morita and his wife run the restaurant together. We sat at the counter in the center where Morita-san was showcasing his skills, and started with plum wine as an aperitif followed by Minoh Beer Weizen to quench our thirst. The meal began with a generous serving of fresh sea urchin and grated new onion from Kaizuka, followed by a two-plate assortment of red snapper and young bluefin tuna, and a flavorful oyster from Akkeshi, Hokkaido. The soup course featured conger eel from Awaji Island with chewy arrowroot noodles, seaweed, and yuzu citrus. The clear and gentle taste of the kelp broth made with premium kelp from Otaru, Hokkaido, was truly satisfying. The simmered dish included Ishikawa taro, water shield, twisted bamboo shoots, winter melon, and daikon radish, as well as a speciality of Morita-san, steamed ayu with a matsukaze sauce. The dish was simple yet rich in flavor, stimulating all the senses. Each vegetable in the simmered dish was cooked separately, offering excellent texture and taste. The seasonal appetizer platter served in a Dai Kichi Kounichi box featured fresh cherry shrimp marinated in soy sauce with a hint of yuzu pepper, summer beans marinated in soy sauce from Yao, Nara pickles with cream cheese, soy sauce-marinated inch-long beans, and green plums from Kishu, Wakayama. The strong dish featured a unique combination of blueberries, roast duck from Kawachi, apricot, and seaweed with white peach sauce. The closing dish was a creative and meticulously prepared assortment of dishes, including blueberry and duck roast, apricot and seaweed with white peach sauce.

I visited for the first time. It's a bit of a downside that you can't enter unless you have the right number of people. I wish I could enter assuming the menu was decided in advance. I ordered the daily special! It was delicious. The elegant seasoning and the rice were also delicious! Next time, I want to try the seafood bowl.

I was intrigued by the charming atmosphere, so I decided to try their lunch. The daily special costs 1300 yen, slightly higher than other nearby restaurants, but with so many side dishes included, I have no complaints. The taste is simple yet delicious. The rice is cooked perfectly, and the side dishes are so good that I found myself wanting more.

I was taken to this cozy little restaurant by a regular customer. It's located right near Yodoyabashi. I sat at the counter and ordered a beer first. The beer was Minoh Beer, which I tried for the first time and found it to be delicious. It had a rich and very enjoyable flavor. Since we ordered a course, the dishes kept coming out one after another. The presentation was very beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I left the sake selection up to the staff, so I don't remember how many types I tried, but they had quite a variety. The couple running the place were also wonderful, making it a high-quality Japanese restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

On a sunny weekday lunchtime, motivated by the desire to eat a delicious seafood bowl with my colleague, we visited this restaurant. After doing some research, the seafood bowl lunch looked incredibly delicious. Arriving at the restaurant around 12:15, I hoped that they wouldn't be sold out of the seafood bowl... Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately ordered, "Excuse me, can we have two seafood bowls!" "I'm sorry, we only have one seafood bowl left." Gasp! I had to make the difficult decision to give up my seafood bowl to my colleague. Was I an angel? Well, to be honest, I was fine with giving up the seafood bowl because the daily special set meal looked equally delicious. I honestly didn't mind missing out on the seafood bowl. The restaurant was full, so we waited for a bit before being seated at the counter. The daily special set meal that was served shortly after was quite luxurious! It felt like a lot of high-quality side dishes. The menu included: a variety of side dishes, marinated seasonal fish, pesticide-free rice topped with shredded mountain pepper, seasonal salad, three types of pickles, and a clear soup made from natural broth. They also mentioned that you could have extra rice. It was truly a tear-inducing meal. Everything looked so delicious that I didn't know where to start. I began with the variety of side dishes, which included macaroni salad and what seemed like simmered hamburger steak. It was surprisingly Western-style but within a Japanese context. There were various simmered vegetables underneath, giving a truly abundant feeling. The marinated seasonal fish was likely tuna, and it transitioned from a Western to a traditional Japanese style. The marinated sauce was incredibly delicious, and it could easily go with three bowls of rice. I also tried the seasonal salad, which was substantial enough to be a main dish. It's not often that a salad can be a main dish. The three types of pickles came with mentaiko (spicy cod roe), which was another dish that could easily go with three bowls of rice. With the variety of side dishes, marinated fish, mentaiko, salad, and miso soup (not to forget!), I could have easily eaten ten bowls of rice! I was in heaven with the daily special set meal. Thank you for the feast.

I visited for lunch at 11:43. I participated in the Osaka Metro delicious food stamp rally and was guided to the counter. The counter was quite high and the eye level was not the same as the counter. First, they served me warm green tea in a cute glass pot. I ordered the fresh fish dashi tea-soaked set, which included marinated fresh fish, a hot spring egg, a daily changing side dish (pork sauté and salad), rice, and shredded mountain pepper. I had seconds because it was all-you-can-eat. After finishing the dashi tea-soaked dish, I had a second helping and made a rice bowl with a hot spring egg. They also served side dishes like pickles, pickled plum, and spicy cod roe. It seemed like you could have as many refills as you wanted. Everyone else had the daily changing set meal, so I'll try that next time.

Korean Bridge Sakura Flower @ Higo Bridge Tabelog ★ 3.53 A quaint Japanese restaurant near the company. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, with dishes and flower arrangements creating a welcoming atmosphere. Today, I ordered the seafood bowl for lunch for 1,300 yen. When it arrived, I thought, "Wow, so luxurious!" for the price of 1300 yen, I was surprised at how elaborate and good the contents were. If I had eaten this in Tokyo, it would probably cost around 1800 yen. The seafood bowl had a variety of fish on top, and it came with pickled ginger, pickled plum, and spicy cod roe as side dishes. The salad also had prosciutto in it, and even as a standalone dish, it was delicious. In addition, the miso soup had clams and soybeans in it, with white miso that was gentle and brought out the flavor of the clams. Looking at Tabelog, all the other lunch options here look delicious too! I highly recommend this place, so please give it a try! #KoreanBridgeSakuraFlower #SakuraFlower #OsakaGourmet #UmedaGourmet #KansaiGourmet #UmedaLunch #OsakaGourmetClub #HigoBridgeGourmet #HigoBridgeLunch #HigoBridgeJapaneseFood #HigoBridge #JapaneseFoodLunch #MustEatMenu #AffordableAndDeliciousGourmet #TrendyRestaurant #MustEatDish #FoodReviewGram #FoodieGirls #FoodieWanted #HonestFoodReview

At night, it's a traditional Japanese restaurant, and during the day, it's a cozy space where women tend to gather. I had the daily lunch special and it was satisfying. The sashimi rice bowl set was sold out, unfortunately. The daily lunch special included: rice with shredded mountain pepper, simmered hamburger steak, macaroni salad, sashimi (amberjack or yellowtail?), salad (with nuts and raisins for added crunch), miso soup (with gluten, green onions, and greens), pickles, pickled plum, and spicy cod roe. The first serving of rice was small, so I asked for seconds. It was a well-balanced meal with meat, fish, vegetables, and soup. I enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal. [Location] 4-minute walk from Yodoyabashi Station [Seating] Table seating [COVID-19 Measures] Alcohol available [Visit Time] Around 12:40 PM on weekdays [Crowdedness] Almost full on the first floor [Food] Daily lunch special [Price] 1300 yen

This is a parade of delicacies. It's all about saltiness and fermentation. They also have unique Japanese sake. I couldn't take many photos. They serve one fish dish and one meat dish at a time, which seems like Western cuisine but it's actually traditional Japanese cuisine. It's not the typical Kyoto-style dishes like hassun, simmered dishes, or grilled dishes. The raw squid sashimi was delicious, even though I don't have a photo.

There is a shop just a few minutes from the Higobashi subway station. I had visited a few times a few years ago, but it had been a while since my last visit. I started with a Heartland beer at the counter seat. The first dish was a katsu soup with truffles on top, which had a slightly unusual taste. The sashimi consisted of two types, with the first plate being sea bream from Akashi and grey mullet. The grey mullet had no fishy smell and was delicious. The second plate was Koichi, a fish from the gobiidae family, served with natural watercress. It was a soft white fish that I had never tried before. Next was a steamed bowl of red snapper, which brought out the delicious flavor of the fish. The simmered dish included burdock, herring, and others with a slightly strong seasoning. This was followed by an appetizer plate, and the meal ended with a vinegar dish of striped jack and tofu skin. For the main course, I had duck and mushroom soba in a style similar to New Year's soba.

Sakurabana ⭐︎ I went to lunch for the first time! The seating is limited. They offer a daily lunch special! I was worried if it would be enough, but it was plenty haha. It was delicious - the rice was so good! I usually don't need rice, but I ended up getting a second helping! I will definitely visit again!

Tonight, I had a dinner with two clients at a restaurant called "Koreibashi Sakurahana" near my hotel. The location is just a short walk from Yodoyabashi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. The exterior of the restaurant looks luxurious, but inside, there are casual tables lined up with the kitchen and counter in the back. There is a large refrigerator stocked with a variety of sake bottles. We started with a toast with beer. We ordered the "Sakurahana Chef's Choice Course," which included: three appetizers, sashimi, grilled conger eel, plum beef with miso, boiled whelk and sweetfish, duck and seasonal grilled vegetables, and sea urchin and abalone dish. The dishes were brought out one by one, with explanations of each. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The conger eel dish was particularly delicious. The sake selection was impressive, and we enjoyed various types throughout the night. The owner's knowledge and passion for sake were evident. I travel to Yodoyabashi often for business, so I look forward to visiting again in a different season. The bill came to around 30,000 yen for three people. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

On December 21, December 29, and January 12, I visited a restaurant three times in the evening. It was located on my commuting route in Osaka. Encouraged by the high ratings from multiple reviewers, I decided to give it a try. The conclusion is that I really liked it. The owner is from Osaka and focuses on using local ingredients such as meat and vegetables from Osaka. His dedication to quality is impressive. He humbly mentioned that he lacks skills, but his passion is remarkable. The kombu (kelp) is sourced from the long-established Tsuchii shop in Karahori shopping street, resulting in excellent dashi (broth). He also has experience working at a creative cuisine restaurant, which reflects in unique dishes like grated daikon radish and dried persimmon butter. The bora fish from the charismatic fisherman Mr. Mura is also delicious. Every dish is carefully selected and of high quality, leaving me very satisfied. The wife, originally from Shiga, is knowledgeable about Japanese sake and recommended a great selection. The budget for a casual dining experience with food and drinks is around 10,000 yen. The food is delicious, the sake selection is great, and the overall experience is very satisfying. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the service can be slow due to the meticulous preparation of dishes. However, with some extra time and patience, the visit will surely be enjoyable. I wanted to make this restaurant my regular spot since it was close to my home in Osaka, but unfortunately, I had to move to Tokyo. About the owners: - The owner is Ryuhiko Morita, originally from Osaka (presumed to be from Izumi based on his way of speaking). - He started his culinary journey at the age of 24 after obtaining a teaching license in college. - He gained experience at a popular creative cuisine restaurant and honed his skills at a traditional Japanese restaurant. - He is well-versed in ingredients, origins, and cooking methods. - He runs the Osaka Food Culture Institute. - He is a fan of Showa-era professional wrestling and had an engaging conversation about pro wrestling (such as Kenji Kimura's Thunderbolt Lariat). - His wife is from Shiga and is knowledgeable about Japanese sake. Dedication to ingredients: - Focuses on using Osaka-produced meat and vegetables. - Sources branded ingredients such as Konihidori duck, Inunaki pork, and Osaka Umbeef for meat dishes. - Mainly uses Osaka-produced vegetables like Tanabe daikon radish, Tennoji turnip, Minami pumpkin, and Kadoma lotus root. - Sources kombu from Tsuchii in Karahori shopping street. - Sources eggs from Tanaka Farm (uses self-made feed with clear sources that are safe for human consumption). - Sources fish like bora from the charismatic fisherman Mr. Mura in Naruto. - Offers Osaka craft beer Minoh Beer (rare to find establishments serving Minoh Beer on tap). Dishes I tried: [December 21] - Minoh Beer Pale Ale and Minoh Beer Dai Dai (citrus flavor) - Sake: Tatsukame Junmai, Kitasima Aged Sake, To Asahi - Tanabe Daikon Radish Grated with Butter and Yuzu - Tanabe Daikon Leaf Ohitashi - Assorted Sashimi - Assorted Vegetables - Roasted Konihidori Duck - Karasumi Daikon (total: 10,850 yen) [December 29] - Minoh Beer on tap - Sake: Yamamoto Midnight Blue, Kameji Kounichi, Furosen Aged Sake - Tennoji Turnip Leaf Ohitashi - Tanabe Daikon Radish Grated with Shiratama Mochi, Ginkgo, Karasumi, and Yuzu - Assorted Sashimi - Ice Fish with Tanabe Daikon Oroshi - Assorted Vegetables - Organic Tofu with Miso - Konihidori Duck Prosciutto with Dried Persimmon Butter - Saba Sushi Roll with Nappa Cabbage, Red Core Daikon, and Pickles - Hamo Roe and Quail Salted Roe (total: 8,670 yen) [January 12] - Minoh Beer on tap - Hoppiva (beer cocktail) - (Sake selection not specified) - (Dishes not specified)

About a 3-minute walk west from Yodoyabashi Station, nestled between buildings, is a restaurant with a traditional Japanese atmosphere called "Koryo Bridge Sakura Hana." I ordered the 8800 yen course menu. The interior of the restaurant has a black-based design. I started with a warm clear soup, which was comforting. The sashimi included plump squid, yellowtail, sea bream, and tuna. The sea bream caught by a famous fisherman from Tokushima was particularly impressive. The meal continued with a clear soup with pike conger eel, matsutake mushrooms, and large shimeji mushrooms. The appetizer included a terrine with chicken liver, which was a unique touch. Wine paired well with the dishes. There was also a palate-cleansing vinegar dish and grilled fish, including cod milt. The meal ended with duck meat soup rice porridge. It was a restaurant with good quality ingredients and cost performance. I was also pleased to hear that the menu changes monthly. I will definitely visit again as it seems like a convenient option.

Today is the birthday of Takarabashi Sakura Hana in Higo Bridge. I visited for lunch looking for something delicious. I arrived 12 minutes later and was seated. They offer options like dashi chazuke and seafood bowl for lunch, but the seafood bowl was the only available option, so I ordered that. It was ready in 10 minutes. Seafood Bowl Set (950 yen): - Soba: The juicy chicken soboro and crispy wakame go well with the soft soba. The broth is delicious, so I ate it with rice. - Salad: Crispy with olives and beans, making it healthy and tasty. Seafood Bowl: Tuna, yellowtail, salmon, etc., topped with a special sesame sauce-like dressing. The sweet sauce goes well with the rice. - Onsen Tamago: Also delicious with rice. - Pickled Ginger and Umeboshi: The acidity of the pickled ginger and umeboshi goes well with the rice. There is a lot of rice, but you can enjoy it with various side dishes and accompaniments.

I couldn't find a parking spot and ended up wandering around Higo Bridge looking for a restaurant. I ended up in front of this place with no line, so of course I went in. The food here is delicious, so I sat at the counter and ordered the "daily lunch set" which came with marinated sashimi, pork shabu-shabu, and salad. It arrived in just 5 minutes, thanks to the pre-preparation. The presentation was great, and the soba noodles with a rich broth were easy to eat and full of flavor. The salad had tomatoes, no, it was watermelon, no, actually it was olive. It was fun trying out different things. The pork shabu-shabu salad was delicious, and I couldn't resist getting seconds. The rice went down smoothly too. With just a little effort, I got to experience new flavors that made me want to come back for dinner. Thank you for the meal. Today's lunch: Daily lunch set - Pork shabu-shabu - 1000 yen; Extra meter (300 yen).

I visited during the week when the state of emergency in Kansai was lifted. I arrived without a reservation around 11:30. I ordered the dashi chazuke. The choices for the main dish that day were shrimp fry or plate udon, so I chose the shrimp fry. It was served in less than 10 minutes. The shrimp fry had three decent-sized pieces, which was surprising considering the price. The dashi for the chazuke was not too spicy, so I enjoyed a few pieces before mixing it into the chazuke. The portion of the fish was good, and the chazuke was not lacking in ingredients, so I was satisfied. As someone with a big appetite, I usually eat two meals' worth at a hotel breakfast buffet, so this portion was decent for me. There were many female and elderly customers, and it seemed like some couldn't finish their meals with this amount. The dishes were well-prepared with a decent portion for the price. It's a foodie city indeed.

The feeling of being able to enjoy a variety of side dishes in a set meal makes you feel somewhat happy, doesn't it? Especially for women, who tend to want to try various flavors! I had a few options for such set meals in Tokyo, but I had to start from scratch in Osaka. So, I visited this place, which has received high praise for its daily lunch specials. ① About the restaurant's exterior, atmosphere, interior, etc. It's about a 5-minute walk from Higobashi Station. You can also get there in about the same time from Yodoyabashi Station. The entrance to the restaurant is a little set back, but the deep red curtain catches your eye, so you won't get lost. Inside, there are counter seats facing the kitchen, and tables in the back. There's also a bar counter in one corner, giving it a somewhat mysterious feel. Maybe it used to be a club? Overall, it has a calm, adult-like atmosphere. ② About the food. When I visited late in the day, the "rice with tea and pickles set" and the "seafood bowl" were sold out. So, as planned, I ordered the "daily lunch set." I could hear the sound of frying the oyster fry, one of the "today's side dishes," coming from the kitchen. After a while, a large black square tray with oyster fry, rice with miso soup, pickles, marinated sashimi, and salad was served. It looks luxurious, and my excitement went up! The salad vegetables are varied, including lettuce, mizuna, cucumber, red turnip, etc. There are also croutons and persimmon seeds, adding to the texture. The oyster fry is large, with three pieces! It's fried strongly, with a crispy coating. It's topped with plenty of sauce, which is quite flavorful. I would prefer to adjust the amount of sauce myself if possible. The stir-fried vegetables on the side are heavily seasoned with salt. A bit less salt would be better for balance. The sashimi slices are fresh, such as tuna, sea bream, salmon, etc. They're just scraps, but they're fresh and have a good amount of fat. The sesame-flavored marinated sauce also goes well with the rice. The miso soup has shrimp broth, adding a fragrant touch. Small touches like this are nice. The rice is cooked well, and with the oyster fry and sashimi, I quickly finished a bowl... (laughs) The portion size is generous, and I was full. ③ About the staff's service. The waitress, who seemed to be the landlady, was managing the place alone. There were no issues with greetings or seating guidance, and her bright and polite service was pleasant. The chef, who was silently cooking, also saw us off with a smile at the end. ④ About the cost performance. Not only the main dish but also the sashimi and salad are included in this price, so I thought it was a good deal. There were some points where the seasoning felt a bit strong, but even considering that, I think the cost performance is good. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the service were also pleasant. ⑤ Other things I noticed, etc. Next time, I'd like to visit a bit earlier and try the seafood bowl.

It is located east of Yodoyabashi Station. I couldn't go because they only serve lunch three days a week and the timing didn't work out. It's not crowded as peak hours have passed. I had the daily lunch set which included yellowtail and sea bream sashimi, sweet and savory stir-fried beef, salad, and mountain vegetable udon. The portions were generous, with plenty of salad and meat in the stir-fry. I was so full that I even had seconds of rice. The meal seemed well-balanced with protein, raw vegetables, cooked vegetables, fat, and carbohydrates. The lunch had a good balance of hot and cold dishes. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Lunchtime. I felt like going to a restaurant where delicious lunch is always served, so I went to Koreibashi Sakurabana. There was only one group in line, so I was lucky. The entrance is a little back from the street, not very wide, and the inside of the restaurant is separated from the outside world, creating a calm atmosphere. I chose the seafood bowl from the three set options. It was not the usual combination of tuna, salmon, and salmon roe, but a seafood bowl with a lot of white fish. If you want to enjoy the taste of fish, this kind of seafood bowl is great. Other menu items also seem to have something more than what you imagine from the description. I would like to visit again when I feel like it, just like on this day.

First visit to this place. Located 2-3 minutes east of Higobashi Station, with greenery in front and a slightly hidden entrance at the back. Arrived at 12:45 and the place was almost full. There is a counter with 8 seats on the left, tables with 4 seats each on the back left and back right, and a standalone bar counter on the right which was a bit confusing. The restaurant is run by a couple. For lunch, they offer seafood dashi chazuke, seafood bowl, and daily special. I chose the daily special. The dish included flounder and flathead fish for the chazuke, black pepper chicken for the daily special, salad, brown rice, cold udon noodles, pickled plum, and pickles. It was a generous portion with beautiful presentation for 1000 yen. The highlight was the marinated fish with a secret sauce (possibly with sesame) which had a unique and interesting flavor. The seafood miso soup was probably delicious too, but unfortunately, they were out of cold udon noodles. I will try it next time. Left at 1:20 with only one person left in the restaurant.
